@Jordan Sylvia Skills are developed abilities. Sokka developed his thinking abilities from a younger age into strategic thinking skills, similar to how his bender friends develop their bending abilities from younger ages into specialized bending skills. Thinking and the like of course are not supernatural abilities/skills like bending is, but they are natural abilities/skills. We don't tend to think of them as such, but the more time we put into improving them, the more we can see them as such with more skills we acquire and/or hone. A person who has the memory palace skill has developed their memorization abilities. If we want to avoid adjectives and use different nouns, we could call natural abilities as proficiencies and natural skills as disciplines instead. So instead, I can say that Sokka developed his thinking proficiency into a thinking discipline. We can say something similar about other non-benders who noticed they were highly proficient in some area and spent time becoming more disciplined in that area, maybe at some point spending time developing low proficiencies into disciplines to avoid having weak spots (Unless they're working with a team where they can cover each other's weak spots so they can afford to specialize further).
Yeah me too. I had actually came up with my own version of the avatar story where it's super far into the future after the earthbending avatar who follows korra. The newest avatar is a firebender from the ancient sun warrior civilization which almost nobody alive at that point probably even knows exists except for maybe some royals.
@@hughmungus99 that's so cool! I myself had created an avatar after Korra, a Sand Bender named Ji-Ann (Ji-On), but the only kinds of bending she could do were Sand Bending and Spirit Bending (using both sand and water). She was terrible at every other bending type.

I definitely think that Luan isn't immediately going to be allies with Genji, they're going to clash, it's only natural, one thinks he's the avatar and was brought up to think and act that way, now a dusty sandbender barges into his life and says he's the avatar, and that Luan's life is a lie? Also, I hope they explore the Fire Nation more, we didn't get anything in LOK about the fire nation, other than that temple. We have a girl from the Fire Nation, please give more lore on it!

Luan is basically like Zuko he will clash with the avatar a few times until realizing what’s right than joins team avatar and most likely he will teach him earth bending since Genji only knows sand bending not earth.
I feel like Maya would have to be a water bender, as the team doesn't actually have one, unless they are going to have the spirit bender teach water bending theory, which might be interesting.

technically, due to being born at the winter solstice, she basically had kind of a "prophecy thingy" where she was supposed to be "a great waterbender" and spend most of her life trying to perfect her abilities, but since they're non-existent (at least for now) she grew up to be a disappointment which is also an interesting take. I do think we actually need a waterbender, but perhaps a character who is like Toph - a late addition and fan favorite who knows how to fight and contrast Genji pretty well.
The Earth Avatar reincarnating as a member of the Earth Kingdom/Federation's fringe members seems to be a huge middle finger to its cultural elitism on the Avatar Spirit's part. Kyoshi was born to two criminals far from the core and Genji is born into the sandbender culture who lived a nomadic existence in the Si Wong Desert and were generally seen as inferior savages by most of the Earth continent, especially the wealthy elite of Ba Sing Se. I suspect that Genji will have great difficulty both accepting his nature as the Avatar and being accepted as the Avatar due to his cultural origin and background. Kyoshi herself was not accepted by many at first because she did not fit the ideal model of the Avatar, namely by being of high breeding and noble birth which her fake Avatar, Yun, was and also due to her disdain for procedure and niceties, so she never fit in well with Earth Kingdom society and preferred to keep to herself when she wasn't fulfilling her Avatar duties. Genji, while not born to criminals, nevertheless still grew up disadvantaged due to the circumstances of his birth and the sandbenders have historically been treated badly by Earth Kingdom society. Add in the fact that his predecessor Korra chose to help the waterbending Foggy Swamp tribe over the sandbenders against the encroaching Earth Kingdom forces and he probably won't be very amenable towards his nature at first.
I would love more pro-bending since we really got it from S1 in Korra. Also, I'd love more non-bender characters like in the Last Airbender. In Korra, only Asami feels like a real fighter non-bender, whereas in the Last Airbender it feels like we had much more non-benders fighters that could stand as equals to benders. EDIT: And yeah, I know there are the chi-blockers, which is all cool, but I'm talking about characters. I mean the lieutenant was cool but we don't even get his name and he was dispatched way too early in the last episode.
With Genji being a fan of the Fire Ferrets, which Korra was a member of, do you think he will be part of that eventually? Also, since airbending has returned and been established for some time, does pro-bending now include air benders as well?
I hope Nami has more to her than just "cute kid who likes fairy", cuz for now that's the vibe I get; Of course can't wait for her character to be developed, I actually trust the LoG team enough to make her more than 1 dimensional, and it's gonna take time, but can't wait!!
Nami is actually also pretty moody and doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the air acolytes from what it seems. Oh and her bio also said she likes eating meat which and has trouble adjusting to the vegetarian diet of the Air nomads.
I really like that there is a spirit bender among them. It may be that in some point of the show Genji may need to contact the spirits, seeing how the earth nation is that farthest from spirit bending in that they have many earthly ties. Plus having a good guy equivalent to Azula makes me wanna read this thing badly.
nice team and I love the idea of everyone thinking luan's the Avatar and Genji being unaware that he's the one and giving humble comments on how the Avatar ( which he is ) shouldn't be treated like a god. I would like to see how surprised he would be when he finds out he's the Avatar. ooh and the idea of luan being a Villain might be true but it's too obvious. He might have a hard time believing he is not the Avatar but maybe not evil. Besides, he doesn't even like being in public and all. I think the Villain might be someone who has really been benefiting from luan's fame or a crisis at his mechanic shop.
So reading their bios, Kalsang's mentioned that maybe he'll find someone just as passionate about his favorite show. Then in Luan's, it mentions he's a huge fan of the show Starbenders. Hmm, coincidence, I HOPE not. 🤣🤣🤣🙌

It would be interesting to see if the White Lotus has corrupted itself as the Dai Lee. And if that happens the clash between the members of the White Lotus and the Avatar is evident.
That thumbnail made me realize, and cudos if the creators did it on purpose, but a team avatar with more variety of age sounds like a fun dinamic to have, so far the team avatar has been around the same age, I like the idea of the gang being of different ages and see how they work with each other.

I'm sad the legend of Genji was cancelled. It had such an interesting premise and was great quality for a fanmade story. I hope the new Earth bender series the offiicial Avatar studios makes is just as good, if not better
@sudhiramg I don't think they can. From my understand Avatar Studios prevented the publishing of Avatar Genji because it is profiting off of Avatar's material and legal stuff gets involved. So I don't think anyone will take it up again :(
Looking so good... Just wish people had checked out the fics I wrote up for a Korra sequel that's more 80's/90's Japan inspired. Not like the violent anime of the era, but the look and feel. Also, the Avatar I came up with is... Well, best I can describe is like if the smart best friend character in cartoons and anime turned out to be the Avatar. Also, has a big sister who you find out is a robot.
Same here, but if certain theories are true (like how the next earth avatar is supposed to have a resemblance to Asami), there will be some differences if this translate to moving to either official animation or even this translates into a more of an anime.
I actually think thing will be two or multi dimensional. First, when Genji realize the truth. The second and so forth will be when Genji truly embodies the Avatar, like entering the Avatar state. However, beyond the first, I have suspicions that the true embodiment may take a very long time in the in the context of this series.
Maya could be a lavabender just like Bolin with Earth and Fire decent. and Oceanic folks can be incorporated with lava and volcanoes so it would really make sense.
I am loving the designs but I am a little dissapointed that he doesn't look like Asami. I kinda liked that reference of the legend that said "the face that you posess is the one of the person you loved the most in a past life" I kinda liked it because Aang looks a little like Roku's Wife, Korra looks a little like Katara and Roku looked a lot like Kyoshi's girlfriend. I hoped for Genji to look like Asami

Disagree entirely. The fact that it so closely resembles the Kyoshi novels irks me. A fake avatar named Yun-here it’s Luan. An air nomad named Kelsang? I mean please.
@@WarpedEagle yeah... It's a modified/ modernized version of Kyoshi's story. People who want this to be canon mostly didn't read the stories of the other Avatars. This story would be redundant, an Earth Avatar with a fake Avatar at the beginning of their story. Like, be creative, man.
I just read the 2 chapters and to me it feels like avatar Luan is a real and actual avatar and Genji, with the problems he was presented, would lead him to become the fake avatar. With the existence of energybending the avatar would then be transfered to genji. Hence, Luan would have a reason to come with Genji in quest of returning the avatar to himself. This I think would be a better storyline than the current theories I've been hearing about.
My guess is that because nobody thought to look in the si-wong desert and people were desperate to have a new avatar after korra died young and unexpectedly and so they just found a earth kingdom citizen that they could use to bide there time until they could find the real one. Or it could have something to do with politics and maybe having the new avatar be in ba sing se keeps ba sing se safe from an invasion because no nation wants to be the nation to invade the home of the avatar.
@@hughmungus99 Remember, Kyoshi, the prior Earth Avatar, also had a false avatar situation. This may have been done on purpose in terms of lore and plot.
I can’t be the only one seeing the pattern starting with the Earth Avatar. If you’ve read the Kyoshi book, you know, but if you haven’t- Kyoshi wasn’t thought to be the avatar at first. It was only when she showed some signs that they did a true test, and she passed. The guy who was really thought to be the avatar was… surprised, to say the least. That’s a very broad description, but the book is SO WORHT IT!
I'm excited but I'm worried about the airbender it just feels korra demolished all the differences between nations, and especially the whole bringing the air Nomads back and the not shaving heads getting rid of the air nomads classic outfits, the world looks modernised but somehow the earth kingdom, fire nation and water tribe seem to keep original looking designs for the most part so I'm disappointed with the way korra set off with air nomads due to the principals of air nomads for example the head shaving was not just to show the tattoos off but to heighten the senses and that's one of the things korra annoyed me with but other than the Air nomads I'm excited to see the charecters also I'm pretty sure Korra died in her 60s right? If I remember correctly from the Genji promos and that, what is it with the last 2 Avatars dying in their 60s lmao weird and sad ngl
@@yukonyeti6296 I know still, it's the only good thing coming out, I mean I'm not excited about the live action adaptation in fact I'm dreading it, but ever since korra book 3 I hated what was happening with the air nomads and before that other nations and tbh idc whether it's fan fic or not because to me I like this more than korra's show it felt rushed and somethings about korra was good don't get me wrong but it made more mistakes than the good things and this fan project could do many good things and perhaps correct the wrongs, and again even though its not cannon it's the most excited I've been since the launch of the last big ATLA comic or the Kiyoshi book mabey, still it's entertaining to see new avatars being invented

I've been following all the news and stuff about it and it seems they've been putting a lot of hard work and dedication into this project. I think the cast they've chosen will give great performances and I'm looking forward too it.

The Legend of Genji has existed for many years, long before the Kyoshi books were even created. The studio probably stole that name and the concept of the fake Avatar from the Genji team.
In legend of Korra season 2 we saw the engine version of the movies I wonder what they call in anime in the world legend of genji and also I won't be surprised iko actually related to azula it will be a zuko moment for her and also I think Luan obey the teacher / best friend genji department seat similarity these two one another and being the best version
Unless there is a more fleshed out on the difference between traditional red versus blue fire bending in Genji, or done for the actual reason Azula’s fire was blue (for different visual effects), then I’m not sure (outside of animation visuals) how that can be prominent.
@@sertankacar8594 To my knowledge, the official reason given why a fire blender’s flame, like Azula, can be blue was for different visual effects, especially against another fire bender whose flame was red. If it is for different animation effects, that make senses. If The Legend of Genji provides some context on why a bender’s flame can a different color, then I can see that. However, as it is, there isn’t much of a noted/significant difference, besides visuals, between different colors flames on fire benders.
This new team avatar is pretty cool. I think it's better than Legend of Korra's team. I also believe (so far of what we know), this will be better than LOK. It's interesting how a fan made story can be better than a cannon show.

I also like Genji and Aiko/Aika (keep forgetting how her name is spelled), and I’m looking forward to seeing how he and Luan will interact. Side note: I’m not sure if Genji is gonna be paired with anyone, but I think it’ll be cool if he wasn’t interested in romance due to not considering it in the first place since he’s focused on his own goals, needs, and responsibilities on being the man of the house. Just a personal opinion.
If you check out info about the different locations/cultures on the Legend of Genji website, all but the Spirit World has a question on how each place views LGBTQ+. Regardless of who, there is likely going to be a couple that is LGBTQ+ and have some significance. In addition, views on LGBTQ+ may be some theme through the series.
For the no romance interest, that is understandable since Korra kinda laid it on thick with the romance department (which even includes ex-couples, like Tenzin and Lin) with numerous couples and was very prevalent with the original series.
It looks really good to me, and we have a normal mc all of us could relate to, the Team also really cool people like they where in the last air bender. That was something i missed in legend of korra. All i hope now that they get a Animation series.

Its weird how there's not a waterbender. Also interested in seeing more of the Earth Nation and how its changed along with seeing more of the Fire Nation. That and Pro-Bending, it seems like the fire ferrets have been on a loosing streak oddly. Any idea when this will come out ? I know thanks to the virus it was put on halt but i new generation of avatar would be wonderful. And the Earth Nation, just how they keep messing up with findong the Avatar... I would think the White Lotus should be in charge of that. Fire Nation Avatars come from a well to do family background, water easily seems to show since Korra has been bending so early on, Air is the most spiritual and it was known early on when he was a baby based on his past lives baby toys. Earth seems to always mess up and its the least ones you'd expect. The fact it's the last one before the cycle starts all over again...
finding an avatar among earthbenders is always a hard thing to do, the continent is large and the Avatar could be anywhere, I guess at this point it's a stereotype for Earthbender Avatar to be confused with someone else because it's hard to keep track with them all.

@@brooke7464 1. there were more than 2 kingdoms, in fact there were many kingdoms unified under one "Earth Kingdom" until it changed during Korra's time, but now it's still heavily diverse in many ways. While all the 3 nations seemed to have it way easier than the Earth Kingdom, it still also pretty much tells that Earth Kingdom has it rough so usually when there's supposed to be "an Earth Bender Avatar" the rest of the world by now should now "we're f@cked" The conversation was not about the bear and by the time of Genji, he would be dead anyway but yeah shame. I think Omashu is doing fine, it's just no longer the centre of the story. It's not like the Earth Kingdom started the 100-yeat war with the entire planet so calling them "always seemed crooked and screwing things up" is like... why thank you, because just like any empire in this world, we ain't perfect so cry about it.

I hope they expand on certain abilities that haven't been explored yet, like People bending multiple elements like the Avatar since, as Guru Pathik said, all the elements are really one Earth bending the minerals in organic matter Fire/ lightning bending to impact brain and nerve impulses (this can be used for good as well, such as for healing)
Okay, so far Nami is me, I am Nami 😂 I've always wanted to be from the Water Tribe, I was born on the Solstice and women in my family have always had a 6th sense about certain things (primarily through dreams). So excited to see this character develop!
I wish they'd continue this story, as It barely even began. I don't care if they have to downgrade to book literature since all of the artists have left, I'd still read it. Its such an amazing concept (having a fake celebrity avatar slowly become exposed) and I honestly hope the new series copies the story or at least hires the writers to work on the new series
some things I always wished avatar would do is adopt more eastern story telling in their remix. I want an anti-avitar, a spirit eater made out of the fragments of Vaatu. my line of thought goes, Vaatu knows that he is shattered across time and space and so he chooses to collect himself. but the anti-avitar, a spirit eater, bringer of destruction, has been going around trying to keep vaatu from reconstituting himself. the anti-avitar cannot bind but can take on a spirits aspect in other ways. he is able to ground spirits in reality rather than letting them drift. the anti-avitar as cursed(blessed?) by vaatu cannot divulge a spiritfrom as vaatu has consumes and shatteres it, which is part of the process the anti-avitar uses to keep vaatu from reconstituting himself. as Vaatu's cycle of the anti-avitar has only just begun the anti-avitar is confused and lost in the rapidly changing world and is shunned for not cooperating with the technology and forging a different path.
They style does look really modern. Maybe 1990s? Since Korra was the 20s, I think the next time period should have been the 50s or 60s. It might have a short amount of time between, but I can't imagine life expectancy was that long. At the end of the day, could always say that Korra died somehow.
This seems like a very good revamped version of the kyoshi books if anyone has read or listened to them but there a lotta close coalitions between the two
Macky(the fancomic's creator) lowkey hints in a podcast interview at a traitor in this version of Team Avatar coming in future seasons. Now obviously folks will point fingers at Luan i mean who wouldn't? But,i have a feeling.....it will not be him
If there is a traitor, I can either see: - Nami, who, due to feeling displaced no matter where she is or who she is with, is persuaded and even manipulate into doing that - Maya, where her real loyalty may be to the Dai Li before returning to her actual Ocean Folk and Earth roots - Aiko (who I most likely think), who by possibly through the whatever Fire Element/Nation dark/taboo sub-bending they have, is actually Azula reincarnated, but the reincarnation may have caused something like amnesia of her past life, but with revisiting aspects of her past, like that boarding school and not having a good relationship with her mother, makes Azula slowly but surely realizes who she was and even is supposed to be.
i noticed that the avatar of the earth kingdom is always reincarnated as someone from low back ground, maybe to symbolize that even though earth is dirty and sometimes we dont even notice it its still the base of our existence even if its under us its still important and we build our whole lives above it

technically, due to being born at the winter solstice, she basically had kind of a "prophecy thingy" where she was supposed to be "a great waterbender" and spend most of her life trying to perfect her abilities, but since they're non-existent (at least for now) she grew up to be a disappointment which is also an interesting take.
I do think we actually need a waterbender, but perhaps a character who is like Toph - a late addition and fan favorite who knows how to fight and contrast Genji pretty well.

The Earth Avatar reincarnating as a member of the Earth Kingdom/Federation's fringe members seems to be a huge middle finger to its cultural elitism on the Avatar Spirit's part. Kyoshi was born to two criminals far from the core and Genji is born into the sandbender culture who lived a nomadic existence in the Si Wong Desert and were generally seen as inferior savages by most of the Earth continent, especially the wealthy elite of Ba Sing Se.
I suspect that Genji will have great difficulty both accepting his nature as the Avatar and being accepted as the Avatar due to his cultural origin and background. Kyoshi herself was not accepted by many at first because she did not fit the ideal model of the Avatar, namely by being of high breeding and noble birth which her fake Avatar, Yun, was and also due to her disdain for procedure and niceties, so she never fit in well with Earth Kingdom society and preferred to keep to herself when she wasn't fulfilling her Avatar duties. Genji, while not born to criminals, nevertheless still grew up disadvantaged due to the circumstances of his birth and the sandbenders have historically been treated badly by Earth Kingdom society. Add in the fact that his predecessor Korra chose to help the waterbending Foggy Swamp tribe over the sandbenders against the encroaching Earth Kingdom forces and he probably won't be very amenable towards his nature at first.

I would love more pro-bending since we really got it from S1 in Korra. Also, I'd love more non-bender characters like in the Last Airbender. In Korra, only Asami feels like a real fighter non-bender, whereas in the Last Airbender it feels like we had much more non-benders fighters that could stand as equals to benders.
EDIT: And yeah, I know there are the chi-blockers, which is all cool, but I'm talking about characters. I mean the lieutenant was cool but we don't even get his name and he was dispatched way too early in the last episode.

Nami is actually also pretty moody and doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the air acolytes from what it seems.
Oh and her bio also said she likes eating meat which and has trouble adjusting to the vegetarian diet of the Air nomads.

I really like that there is a spirit bender among them. It may be that in some point of the show Genji may need to contact the spirits, seeing how the earth nation is that farthest from spirit bending in that they have many earthly ties. Plus having a good guy equivalent to Azula makes me wanna read this thing badly.

nice team and I love the idea of everyone thinking luan's the Avatar and Genji being unaware that he's the one and giving humble comments on how the Avatar ( which he is ) shouldn't be treated like a god. I would like to see how surprised he would be when he finds out he's the Avatar. ooh and the idea of luan being a Villain might be true but it's too obvious. He might have a hard time believing he is not the Avatar but maybe not evil. Besides, he doesn't even like being in public and all. I think the Villain might be someone who has really been benefiting from luan's fame or a crisis at his mechanic shop.
So reading their bios, Kalsang's mentioned that maybe he'll find someone just as passionate about his favorite show. Then in Luan's, it mentions he's a huge fan of the show Starbenders. Hmm, coincidence, I HOPE not. 🤣🤣🤣🙌

I'm sad the legend of Genji was cancelled. It had such an interesting premise and was great quality for a fanmade story. I hope the new Earth bender series the offiicial Avatar studios makes is just as good, if not better

@sudhiramg I don't think they can. From my understand Avatar Studios prevented the publishing of Avatar Genji because it is profiting off of Avatar's material and legal stuff gets involved. So I don't think anyone will take it up again :(
Looking so good... Just wish people had checked out the fics I wrote up for a Korra sequel that's more 80's/90's Japan inspired. Not like the violent anime of the era, but the look and feel. Also, the Avatar I came up with is... Well, best I can describe is like if the smart best friend character in cartoons and anime turned out to be the Avatar. I actually think thing will be two or multi dimensional. First, when Genji realize the truth. The second and so forth will be when Genji truly embodies the Avatar, like entering the Avatar state. However, beyond the first, I have suspicions that the true embodiment may take a very long time in the in the context of this series.
Maya could be a lavabender just like Bolin with Earth and Fire decent. and Oceanic folks can be incorporated with lava and volcanoes so it would really make sense.

I just read the 2 chapters and to me it feels like avatar Luan is a real and actual avatar and Genji, with the problems he was presented, would lead him to become the fake avatar. With the existence of energybending the avatar would then be transfered to genji. Hence, Luan would have a reason to come with Genji in quest of returning the avatar to himself. This I think would be a better storyline than the current theories I've been hearing about.

My question is, how could they even possibly think Luan is even the avatar when they’ve never seen him bend any other elements?
My guess is that because nobody thought to look in the si-wong desert and people were desperate to have a new avatar after korra died young and unexpectedly and so they just found a earth kingdom citizen that they could use to bide there time until they could find the real one. Or it could have something to do with politics and maybe having the new avatar be in ba sing se keeps ba sing se safe from an invasion because no nation wants to be the nation to invade the home of the avatar.
@@hughmungus99 Remember, Kyoshi, the prior Earth Avatar, also had a false avatar situation. This may have been done on purpose in terms of lore and plot.

I can’t be the only one seeing the pattern starting with the Earth Avatar. If you’ve read the Kyoshi book, you know, but if you haven’t-
Kyoshi wasn’t thought to be the avatar at first. It was only when she showed some signs that they did a true test, and she passed. The guy who was really thought to be the avatar was… surprised, to say the least.

I'm excited but I'm worried about the airbender it just feels korra demolished all the differences between nations, and especially the whole bringing the air Nomads back and the not shaving heads getting rid of the air nomads classic outfits, the world looks modernised but somehow the earth kingdom, fire nation and water tribe seem to keep original looking designs for the most part so I'm disappointed with the way korra set off with air nomads due to the principals of air nomads for example the head shaving was not just to show the tattoos off but to heighten the senses and that's one of the things korra annoyed me with but other than the Air nomads I'm excited to see the charecters also I'm pretty sure Korra died in her 60s right? If I remember correctly from the Genji promos and that, what is it with the last 2 Avatars dying in their 60s lmao weird and sad ngl

The Legend of Genji has existed for many years, long before the Kyoshi books were even created. The studio probably stole that name and the concept of the fake Avatar from the Genji team.

Unless there is a more fleshed out on the difference between traditional red versus blue fire bending in Genji, or done for the actual reason Azula’s fire was blue (for different visual effects), then I’m not sure (outside of animation visuals) how that can be prominent.

@@sertankacar8594 To my knowledge, the official reason given why a fire blender’s flame, like Azula, can be blue was for different visual effects, especially against another fire bender whose flame was red. If it is for different animation effects, that make senses. If The Legend of Genji provides some context on why a bender’s flame can a different color, then I can see that. However, as it is, there isn’t much of a noted/significant difference, besides visuals, between different colors flames on fire benders.
This new team avatar is pretty cool. I think it's better than Legend of Korra's team. I also believe (so far of what we know), this will be better than LOK. It's interesting how a fan made story can be better than a cannon show.

Side note: I’m not sure if Genji is gonna be paired with anyone, but I think it’ll be cool if he wasn’t interested in romance due to not considering it in the first place since he’s focused on his own goals, needs, and responsibilities on being the man of the house.

I'm rooting for a Genji-Luan romance and other fans seem to gravitate to GenSang, but I'll be glad to see an aro-ace Avatar.
If you check out info about the different locations/cultures on the Legend of Genji website, all but the Spirit World has a question on how each place views LGBTQ+. Regardless of who, there is likely going to be a couple that is LGBTQ+ and have some significance. In addition, views on LGBTQ+ may be some theme through the series.
For the no romance interest, that is understandable since Korra kinda laid it on thick with the romance department (which even includes ex-couples, like Tenzin and Lin) with numerous couples and was very prevalent with the original series.

Fire Nation Avatars come from a well to do family background, water easily seems to show since Korra has been bending so early on, Air is the most spiritual and it was known early on when he was a baby based on his past lives baby toys.
Earth seems to always mess up and its the least ones you'd expect. The fact it's the last one before the cycle starts all over again...
finding an avatar among earthbenders is always a hard thing to do, the continent is large and the Avatar could be anywhere, I guess at this point it's a stereotype for Earthbender Avatar to be confused with someone else because it's hard to keep track with them all.

@@brooke7464 1. there were more than 2 kingdoms, in fact there were many kingdoms unified under one "Earth Kingdom" until it changed during Korra's time, but now it's still heavily diverse in many ways.
While all the 3 nations seemed to have it way easier than the Earth Kingdom, it still also pretty much tells that Earth Kingdom has it rough so usually when there's supposed to be "an Earth Bender Avatar" the rest of the world by now should now "we're f@cked"

I think Omashu is doing fine, it's just no longer the centre of the story.

I hope they expand on certain abilities that haven't been explored yet, like
People bending multiple elements like the Avatar since, as Guru Pathik said, all the elements are really one
Earth bending the minerals in organic matter
Fire/ lightning bending to impact brain and nerve impulses (this can be used for good as well, such as for healing)

So excited to see this character develop!
I wish they'd continue this story, as It barely even began. I don't care if they have to downgrade to book literature since all of the artists have left, I'd still read it. Its such an amazing concept (having a fake celebrity avatar slowly become exposed) and I honestly hope the new series copies the story or at least hires the writers to work on the new series

some things I always wished avatar would do is adopt more eastern story telling in their remix.
I want an anti-avitar, a spirit eater made out of the fragments of Vaatu.
my line of thought goes, Vaatu knows that he is shattered across time and space and so he chooses to collect himself. but the anti-avitar, a spirit eater, bringer of destruction, has been going around trying to keep vaatu from reconstituting himself. the anti-avitar cannot bind but can take on a spirits aspect in other ways. he is able to ground spirits in reality rather than letting them drift. the anti-avitar as cursed(blessed?) by vaatu cannot divulge a spiritfrom as vaatu has consumes and shatteres it, which is part of the process the anti-avitar uses to keep vaatu from reconstituting himself. as Vaatu's cycle of the anti-avitar has only just begun the anti-avitar is confused and lost in the rapidly changing world and is shunned for not cooperating with the technology and forging a different path.

They style does look really modern. Maybe 1990s? Since Korra was the 20s, I think the next time period should have been the 50s or 60s. It might have a short amount of time between, but I can't imagine life expectancy was that long. At the end of the day, could always say that Korra died somehow.
It takes place in the 70s. Korra did die in this. There's a whole video on it and other videos on the Genji channel.

Now obviously folks will point fingers at Luan i mean who wouldn't? But,i have a feeling.....it will not be him
If there is a traitor, I can either see:
- Nami, who, due to feeling displaced no matter where she is or who she is with, is persuaded and even manipulate into doing that
- Maya, where her real loyalty may be to the Dai Li before returning to her actual Ocean Folk and Earth roots
- Aiko (who I most likely think), who by possibly through the whatever Fire Element/Nation dark/taboo sub-bending they have, is actually Azula reincarnated, but the reincarnation may have caused something like amnesia of her past life, but with revisiting aspects of her past, like that boarding school and not having a good relationship with her mother, makes Azula slowly but surely realizes who she was and even is supposed to be.
