    crank 1 is vertical in the position diagram,but you make it horizontal in the crank position........im getting a confussion.Can you give a solution??

    The explanation is good but a video of the locomotive with coupling can also be added as an extension to this.
    Just a suggestion

      Aisa question me hi Hain.
      Balancing of locomotives me 2 types ke numericals aate Hain. Ek to inside cylinder locomotives and other is outside cylinder locomotives.
      Numerical 1 is on inside cylinder locomotives and numerical 2 is on outside cylinder locomotives.

      Just try to take larger scales for more accurate polygon.
      Also check if there are any calculation errors!!
      But most probably, your answer should be close to your book's answer.
