There’s Plenty of Misfits out there like Myself still listening to songs like this to this day. God Bless The Kinks. Thank You Ray and Dave Davies. You made life so good and worth being alive in the 70s. The Mescaline didn’t hurt either. 😂🙏
I will always remember how Rolling Stone Mag., asked the two "top" British bands, the Beatles and the Stones, who They felt was the best- they both gave the same answer....THE KINKS!!!
When and how did that happen? Were the Beatles and the Stones asked who the best band is and they said the Kinks? It sounds rather fake news.. Can you give me details about the interview? Maybe even a link?
Also , saw them at Boston Garden a few times in the 70s and 80s. Simply fantastic Shows. Love the Song Dave Davies sings called Bernadette. He never sings. It was an honor seeing him sing Lead.
The 70's the best decade for music love every bit of it, the kinks were the band that a lot people heard on the radio singing to the songs and were always mistaken for some other band they were and were highly underrated
This was right when Ian become a full-time member in 1979 (to 1976) most likely..Ian died August 1, 2019. Ray and Dave loved him and praised him for his positive mental attitude. A good man to have in any band. RIP
+10 Foot Man I'm not sure you understood my comment. Your words are subjective. I don't take non-prescribed drugs, but I will never stop getting high. Life is too good and there is a high to be found when you look for it.Your dream to end drug abuse is a great one to have. Maybe you can find solutions to the issue and help others. I'm sure you would find a high in that.Love and peace.
This is one of the songs edited out of the official release "One For The Road" video, Providence, RI 6/23/79. I got a crappy copy of the uncut show from some guy in Japan a few years ago. The unedited footage was 1HR36MN I don't know how or when it was originally leaked. I'm guessing the original master footage of this show are lost, because the official dvd is actually just a rip of the VHS tape.
Saw this tour in Seattle. Dave and Ray got in this big row onstage but it didn't ruin the concert. Just kind of funny and made it all the more memorable.
It’s things like that that made The Davies Brothers what they are. Deep down there’s a lot of love there. They would not have been together for that long if there wasn’t.

This song rates really high on my list of favorite Kink's songs.
Same for me

@@billytrap9404 lenon’s favourite song was wonderboy
In the 60's EVERYONE was a Beatles or Stones fan. I was listening to the Kinks
Also , saw them at Boston Garden a few times in the 70s and 80s. Simply fantastic Shows. Love the Song Dave Davies sings called Bernadette. He never sings. It was an honor seeing him sing Lead.
What a concert! I wish I had been there! Love.

Misfits. Ray knows. Love this song, love the Kinks!
This is really my favourite tune from the most underrated rock band.
One of the great bands that sang about more than getting high.

+greg d We're about the same age, but seems you burned more brain cells than I.
I got 20% left, guessing you're at single digit.
He can paint a picture with his lyrics. He's the F Scott FitzGerald of Rock and Roll.
Well said!
One of the best songs from my favorite band. Is there a topic that Ray Davies has not written about? 🤔
Simply brilliant.
fantastic song one of their best
some of the best stuff they wrote came out of the 70s and 80s.
Thank you Mr. Davies, touching lives to this day.
If they didn’t get band from the United States in the early years they would have and should have been right there with the Beatles and the Stones.
I believe they would have been bigger.
Their songs reach out to everyone.
Underrated for most of their careers, still i raised 2 kids on the kinks. True fans know the impact of ray & dave
Too bad the camera work wasn't better. Dave took a solo, they never cut to him, you just see Ray's back :-/
Flawless perfection!
Byrne Arena '83, Hartford Civic Center '84, and Bardavon Opera House 2010...rock at its best!!!
All of us kink fans are misfits.
this song speaks to people's hearts
Great band Saw them three times. Last one was the Come Dancing tour
Just a 'good' band? They were great!

One of my ATF song
That has to be the Low Budget Tour or about the time "One for the Road" was made.
That was that One For the Road period. They had a huge rebirth, it was so great to see them get their dude.
Goddamn , Dave could absolutely tear it up at times. Why no camera on him?
TEMAZO
Camara man where's DAVE!!😳😳😳
With better lyrics they will be better appreciated over th Stones etc. down the road
does anyone know why john gosling was replaced by ian gibbons
Rolón
FFS! Only a single glimpse of Dave in this whole video. Frustrating!
Nice cover of a lesser-known Beatles tune. Good job here.
bionicbigfoot what the fuck are you talking about lol
Are you on drugs?
No. This is Ray’s song.
LOL
