@@cloudcleaver23 Pick up the AD-10 off Amazon. It’s an awesome knife. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it. It’s smooth opening and closing. It really feels good in the hand. The AD-15 is a pretty cool knife. But it’s not as comfortable as the AD-10. If you don’t own any Cold Steel knives. The AD-10 would be a great one to get. I’ve got all the XL Voyager models except the drop point. I’ve got the AD-10, AD-15, SR1, 4 Max Scout, the cheaper Espada XL, along with a multitude of other Cold Steel knives. The AD-10 is the most refined and comfortable folding knife I’ve ever owned by Cold Steel. Sorry for the Ted Talk on Cold Steel knives. I’m just a serious fan of Cold Steel knives. $125 on Amazon is a good deal.

Brian’s pain is our gain lol. Depending on the criteria of big bruiser, I may have swayed towards the 4max Scout or AD-10 because I’d be much more willing to do dumb stuff with those than my XM-18 or SHF. Not necessarily because of price and availability, but more because of the Triad lock confidence. Love my AD-20 but I haven’t thrashed on it yet.

@@FriedPi-mc5yt I believe the SR1 has a thicker blade stock than the 4 Max Scout, but I haven’t measured. My primary hard use knives are spyderco shaman, manix 2, cold steel sr1, ad15 lite, microtech LUDT, socom elite manual tanto and the rat1 d2. I don't break alot of axis springs but I have once. I also had lock stick really bad on a few. Issues which I never had with my manix 2s. They were just a pain to break in but I do believe the ball bearing lock is superior after owning multiple of each through out the years. It is a good design and strong. I LOVE my hogue ritter and deka. Only benchmades I still have is the hidden canyon fixed blade, m4 natural g10 940 and the north fork(which I think is extremely underrated). I would like to try the cf/s90v mini freek(565-1) and a adamas or crooked river. Also it took me forever to find the manual socom elite and I ended up finding the orange/cf version I wanted. I'm not on the hunt for a mini. I feel like it would be the perfect edc for me.

My brain says to pick the CS AD10, as its probably the single best mix of bullet proof toughness (thanks to that Triad lock and chunky blade). My heart says the Adamas, especially since the update to Cru-wear. My third place pick would probably be the AD20, because that thing is awesome, and my left-handedness appreciates an ambidextrous knife.
Ironically, the Sebenza 31 is my grail knife, so out of all these that's the one of actually pick, but I definitly consider it more of an EDC knife than a "hard-use/bruiser", so I agree with its early removal here.

The new condition of most of those blades, attached to very pricey knives, supports my general theory that the pricier the knife, the less chance of it actually being used, and instead, just kept as a collectors knife. So, while all those are great knives, I think the only true "user-bruiser" is the Recon-1, however, the drop point or clip point versions are far better blade shapes for EDC use. The Civivi is a great EDC, but with it's liner-lock, I would exclude it from a Bruiser class. The one knife missing in that Bruiser collection is the SR1-Lite...it's strait, large handle is one of the very few Bruisers that allow for a good pikal grip, and the drop point version is quite useful for EDC...combined with it's low price and strength, It would be my choice for a "User-Bruiser". Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

The original 4Max would obviously win this pretty handily, but clearly Brian is heavily (no pun) factoring in weight and carry-ability. Of course, remember that he is using knives he currently physically has in collection and price was not set as a limiting factor. All said, barring it’s status as the darling of the knife world and as long as the shark matches up in strength with the triad, I agree with the AD20 in the top spot. The AD10 gets 2nd tho. I like the triad way better than frame and the AD20 blade shape is better than the XM.

You should do this by price....over $3000 worth of knives on the table.....+$500 knife vs the Praxis seems silly....I enjoy your videos, but this one seemed a bit out of touch....

I do it by what I have. Not by price. Wouldn't be enough to make a video if I did it by price for this one. You should check out the Budget iteration of these videos.
