I have this in my wish list but it's too expansive to get I am little worried that will I ne able to keep her alive. I may order in spring so that I can have less winter damage
Hi, Subi. I am glad that this orchid is also on your wishlist! It is smart to wait until the weather is warm to avoid potential winter damage during delivery! Best of luck!!
What temperature range do you maintain for this plant? I've read that it needs to be warm/hot, but I'm wondering if normal home temperatures (68-80°F) will be ok. Thx
Hi. I personally have more success with inorganic substrate (such as hydrocorn and montoclay mixture) for both varieties. Moss doesn't work as well for these orchids in my environment.
But for this particular orchid...it's moss+no hole, a method that has very controlled water amount and it actually like it. So I'd say the key is the control of water amount. : )
@@gloriastellaarita5175 I would always prefer using less water and add more if needed. Waiting longer can simply let problem brew if there is already something wrong

Which medium do you think is better for Bellina and Violacea orchids?

@@OrchidLoveATX I guess you will put less water in the one in moss or would you wait longer?
