Fast forward 👉 to 2024, and you're lucky to find one who delivers 3 times a week in rural areas , "to save money" they say. BUT?? THEY JUST RAISED 👆 THE COST OF POSTAGE!!! 📬 😡
I had a lot of head trauma as a teenager, and though I'm 60 years old, my brain sometimes slips into teenage mode. I even get pimples. I use to be frustrated a lot, now I just roll with it. So if you see me in public, giggling and looking silly...don't judge.
I've been watching this series on TH-cam for a couple of months, and I have to say this episode was a fun surprise. Made me laugh outloud a couple of times. I love all the characters, especially the well-meaning friend of Otto's. Very sweet story. Surprised to see this video was posted in 2012 and here we are, still finding and enjoying it.
1st time Ive seen a show where no one is afraid of the paranormal happenings. They treated this situation as if it happens everyday to them. No fear, just puzzlement.
This was absolutely delightful. 😍 I love love and I was pleased that old fart of a friend of Otto’s finally stopped discouraging him from pursuing a life with Elsa. Misery loves company they say. In the end, he couldn’t resist the force of their love for each other. Brilliant! Bravo!
I've watched all of them probably two or three times, that's how much I love this show , and since it's about the end of 2023 , I will watch them all again starting tonight 😊
This was my first time to watch this episode and I have to say it was my Favorite One of all! Great cast portraying the story! John Beal aged quite well in this episode. He has those adorable expressions!
Delightful episode. Sig Ruman (Nothing Sacred, The Fortune Cookie) plays the Uncle. I doubt any other tv shows at the time had "sexual problems" in their dialogue.
Best episode I've seen yet. Funny, I forgot all about the poltergeist, even the name of the show. The theme to me is an old one," All you need is Love"...
My widowed 82 year old mother has found love again. And here I thought the reason behind all those pots and pans hurtling around their place was because they couldn't get along.
One of my all-time favorite character actor performers Irene Tedrow who appears here as a doctor, has also appeared in a couple of "Twilight Zone" episodes and in a few "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" as well , she has over 205 television & film credits 😮 wow 😊
“The Lovers,” Season 2, Episode 22, aired 16 February 1960. Vanessa Brown as Elsa Schuldorf, John Beal as Otto Becher, Rudolph Anders as Josef, Lili Valenty as Mrs. Schuldorf, Sig Ruman as Franz Schuldorf, Irene Tedrow as Dr. J.H. Sesselshreiber, John Newland as Himself-Host
Oh my god they are so cute for eachother :) for the first i am thinkin' that normally i think it's wrong, but look at them how happy they are. Thank u for the upload.
@Tony Toney Maybe because most people see old man as too old like a grandfather figure when with young women it dont look right...and the first thing people think young girl only want old man money..whatever he's worth..its not love. Maybe that wht
Very cute story! It's fun that Otto, Elsa, and Josef were not really frightened by the flying objects, and that nothing happened while Otto was seeing Dr. Sesselschreiber in her consultation room. I think Otto's unconscious self was behind the poltergeist-like activity, which would make him telekinetically inclined. As for the production values they were quite good, although you knew the book and the bust were being lifted by oogie wires and that the 1890s clothing and hairstyles were being seen through an early 1960s fashion lens.
I love this programme it is wonderful, " inside an old person is a young person wondering what happened" I know Ive stopped at 20 years old, just joking. But its true your as old as you feel🙏🙂🙂
This was a humorous episode. It also had a happy ending. I would like to know if their life continued in this fashion or if the poltergeist episodes lessened.
A fun episode. I believe poltergeist cases are more likely psychosokinetic energy than an actual ghost, but who knows? This was too nice a story to overanalyze too much.
YES! Some of these episodes you can't even hear them! I wish the content creator would listen to them first in comparison to the other episodes and raise the volume before putting out the video onto TH-cam. A very slim majority actually very loud, but those are the rare exception. Most of within the normal range, but this quite a few that you honestly can't hear. I've had to just skip to the next one until I can find something I can hear and that's disappointing because I become very addicted unless 2 weeks to this channel
I seem to be the only one having difficulty hearing this. Ive stopped and started it repeatedly and have turned up the volume as high as i can. The other episodes play fine. This is the only one i cant hear
Great line. Many great lines. I wonder if they hired different writers for this script. I LOVED this couple. Otto was so shy and sweet. Elsa was so innocent and eager. I’m an unmarried former mailman who’s now retired. I hope I meet a young waitress like Elsa!!!
I read somewhere there's an event in the life of a couple much more significant than the first kiss. It's the first fart. If they can stay together after that . . . then *that* is truly remarkable.
quaz imodo The first time I farted with my wife, we noticed there were objects that flew around the room. But there was a very logical scientific explanation!
@@paultheaudaciousbradford6772 I must say that's truly *remarkable* . . . in a completely humorous way of course. BTW logic and science are *way* over rated.
This is a cute story but most of the time poltergeists are no joking matter. They can be very frightening and destructive. I don’t know if they’re ghosts or not but I do believe they are frighteningly real!
Hahahaaa, loved this. I'm the most unromantic person on earth, but this kept me smiling all the way through. They're so cute.
"Couldn't you find a postman who still delivers?" That's a good line!
😂😂😂👌
LOL
And delivered so well by the actor 😊

"Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened. " Personally, I stopped mentally aging at 25.....loved this episode!
Welcome to the class of '39'. I will have been 39 since 1993
Same here, I will bet that I am probably the same age as you are. 39

Yep, 25 was my cut off, too.
Awesome!!!
Extremely adorable episode and the couple is so charming.

Great decade of these types of series. Very much as a play.
Watching every episode of OSB, all 97 of them. They are incredible stories. Thank you for showing them on u tube.

This is a sweet and funny episode. I've seen Sig Ruman in a million old films. It's good to see him here.
This one made me happy. So so sweet. Thanks
This is one of my favorites!😊
Thank goodness I found elsewhere with good sound, one of the best episodes:)
Vinvent Price, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee... what an amazing bunch of entertainers!
This episode is so adorable it's worthy of my first TH-cam comment...like ever. Now, for the last 5 minutes....
A beautiful love story...a change of style for OSB...ha ha nice. 💗
Delightful episode. Sig Ruman (Nothing Sacred, The Fortune Cookie) plays the Uncle. I doubt any other tv shows at the time had "sexual problems" in their dialogue.
This episode is one of the funniest ones in the series. Thanks for sharing!
It surely doesn't seem like it belongs in OSB

I needed a ghost like that about 15 years ago.

"Couldn't you have contacted a more active postman. I mean someone still delivering." -- Sounds like a double, double entendre to me.

The sound track is messed up on this one. Bummer.

Legend has it that it is still continuing to this day , so much that their children's children think of it as a normal occurrence 😊❤
Great story. Low volume, though. Elsa reminds me of Nicole Kidman. Thanks for the upload.

John Beal (Otto) is a good actor. He was in "The Vampire" (1957) and his performance made me realize acting *is* a craft.
