Rock's original theme from Garou: Mark of the Wolves called "Spread The Wings", is sampled from Robert Miles' song called "Children".

We'll, speaking honestly Gato and a couple other MOTW characters have already made appearances in KOF, Rock also appeared in the Maximum impact games so I don't think they need to make him apart of the another world team. The only reason I ever believed his inclusion in KOF was impossible was because everyone at SNK kept saying so, if everyone behind the scenes agrees (and it appears they do) he can easily be written in the KOF story
This Guy it's not the final boss that does that, all verse did was contained dead characters' souls hence his win quotes. The one who can is Nakoruru and she pulled Mui Mui and Love Heart while she was chasing Verse.

Thanks to Saiki, we can think rock come from alternative timeline, MOW. This can make sense because Saiki try to travel time, and it caused some dimensional crack and rock came through it like other world team in kof 14.

Maybe here's a fun fact - the KOF Developers are huge fans of JoJo. Benimaru's appearance was based on Jean Pierre Polnareff from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, right down to his outfit in The King of Fighters '94 and The King of Fighters '95. Even after Benimaru's name was decided, the game developers continued to refer to him as Polnareff.

The old developers of Capcom and SNK always made references to JOJO, especially in the main characters of their games. This KOF14 was developed by the former developers of the saga AOF and Fatal Fury, so it is a yes.

Mr Howard is back in action!!!!! A whole lot of counters and familiar moves with a Climax Super to boot. When I but this DLC I'm probably going to play Rock each week so I know what a beautifully crafted badass diverse fighter actually feels like.

I think he is done well in KOF 14, his jacket animations are much better than the rest of the cast (you can compare to Classic Kyo and Terry). It seems like they put more effort for him.
