because erwin believed in his father's theory about humanity living outside the walls , so him asking about who the enemy is shows a really good piece of writing ,in his whole life, he too wanted to find out who really the enemy is ? so after finding out that it is humanity that is the enemy , my respect for erwin went so high ,who knows what he was thinking when he asked eren that question , maybe he in back of his mind always knew that the real enemies are not the titans but the humanity itself.
i guess eren turned out to be the enemy of humanity after all

It's amazing too, that Erwin would choose to ask Eren I think. I think Erwin saw something in Eren that maybe wasn't there yet, or had just begun- that Eren does/will see things that the other characters will not see.
The attention to detail, character dynamics and parallels and foreshadowing are top tier in AoT

@@walkingtree2486 totally, when erwin first asked about who the enemy is, i got so creeped out and literally thought that he himself was the enemy 😂(because he asked that question out of nowhere) , i couldn't see that kind of a great forshadowing at that time

I love how the first half of this soundtrack sounds like pure hope and freedom, and the second half sounds like violence and doom-
it reminds me of mikasa's words saying "this world is cruel, yet so beautiful" it's like they metaphorically put the entirety of aot's realm into one song it's mind-blowing
It’s the duality of the show and as the show is a good reflection of how this cruel yet beautiful this world can be, for the characters in the show but also for us the readers/watchers. Never had a show hit my like aot(sorry for the rambling)

I like how Mr Isayama actually admits that his artwork isn’t his best field, but his world building, characters, story telling, direction etc. is excellent. Wit Studio did an amazing job on portraying and animating AoT, sadly Mappa didn’t do so well in the last season. (Damn covid)

Sure wit had better animation, but mappa’s art style was more reflective of isayama’s later art and the more darker nature of the series.

It is really impressive how they chose the right words in german and managed to deliver such a beautiful und poetic message! The duality of life is potrait beautifully in this piece - hopeful, beautiful, fertile as well as chaotic, cruel and destructive. I don't why but Sawanos work gives me Hans Zimmer vibes. Is his artwork by any chance influenced by Hans Zimmer? Does anybody know that?
I read somewhere that Hans Zimmer was one of the composers who inspired him.

It feel so surreal to have been able to start watching this around the same age as them when the walls fell. This is the first time I've felt like I've grown with the characters over the span of my life. I feel like in a way I've experienced what they've went through all around the same periods as I was watching as my view on the world change so did theirs. As I lost my friends so did they. As their friends became enemies so did mine. I mean all on a much smaller level and not as brutally. But there was so much I could relate to and understand within this show as I was watching it. All the way from 10 years old to 19. I feel so lucky to have been alive to witness what I believe to be one of the best episodic series in media.

Same!!! I always think about it. How he died at 19 and I was 19 too. It just felt real and how I always used to put myself into Eren’s place because we were the same age when Aot started and ended. It’s so beautiful!

Wow, I did not expect this to hit this hard. Vogel im Käfig already kind of is in a mellow tempo, but slow it down more and you get this amazing ambience that, due to Sawano's genius composition, captures Shingeki's story all too well. Good stuff!

If anyone asks me name one song that defines AoT, it would be Vogel im käfig every time. There are so many great tracks almost all of them, but this one stands out.
And I would probably choose the slowed to perfection version because I don't want it to end.

It's so heavenly yet so terrifying, so peaceful at first and then it seamlessly becomes so tense, Man it'll be so poetic if they played this in the final episode since it was played in the first. it'll give a great and an emotional conclusion to eren's tragic ending. from the child who wanted to avenge his mother and humanity to humanity's biggest enemy
