the season 1 OST callbacks in this special episode just hit different. It's been 10 years since Season 1... and they're bringing these gems back. this whole hange-scene made me cry.
after looking up the song on spotify i realized that it was from the original ost release, but I didn't remember it at all. after googling i found that it played once, during episode 19. It comes in right as the flashbacks of Eren's accidental spoon transformation happened, which is when Eren decides to trust Levi's squad, choosing not to transform and fight Annie head-on. Not.... really.. much of a thematic connection between the uses, but it still hit so damn hard during hange's death so its not like it was lacking emotion

@@tiagoribeiro6069 this is absolutely true (the following information could negatively affect your experience with the series, it relates to the end of the manga, not spoilers but either way could negatively effect your experience) It's unfortunate that he threw all that away with the final chapter and extra pages, either way tho up until that point it was one of the greatest stories I've ever experienced with the section of the manga that season 4 part 3 just adapted being as good as storytelling gets imo so I don't mind if the very end was subpar as we have 138 chapters of brilliance before that.

I'm still amazed. Now I don't see how anyone can criticize MAPPA or SNK. Even those who don't like the basic manga. The episode was one of the greatest episodes of japanimation. That slow motion scene, where the Hange stops in front of the eyes of titan, I've been remembering it since last night, I'd say it is my favorite scene out of the whole scene. Her body, is so small in front of the huge titan, that if the titan has the wisdom, it can wipe her out just with a finger. Between the hollow sight of the titans, that hot souls is falling off, it's eye sight is so cold, it is like an judgement, quietly watching this soul's disappearance. It's an absurd, and sad ending. And it makes me tear up every seconds.
At the past, when I see Hange giving the names to the titan that is used for experiment, I thought it is her madness as an scientist who is into the titan. But now, when I'm reflecting on it, she is somehow the one that is closest to the truth. Because those titan, they once have the name and the feelings as an human.
Honestly what gets me is Hange staring in awe at all the titans and saying just how cool they are. Because for some reason…Even though Hange knew they was going to die and were performing their last duty..I feel like in that moment, they were the freest person on Earth.

Goosebumps... perfection, fav scene of the whole show, couldn't help but tear up
Hange's death was by far my favorite in the show. It fit her character so well. What drove her from the start of the show was her curiousity about the outside world, and about the titans. She was always this cheerful character, excited about what discovery she'll make next. But when Erwin died, and she has to take his role as commander, she had to give up her ambitions. Her final moments allowed her to finally be who she was from the beginning one last time, to die outside the walls by the titans she was so curious about. That's why when she said "titans sure are amazing creatures", I damn near cried. Farewell Hange. Please watch over us.

@@karaphantomhive1602 The pronunciation is quite off. So one could assume Germans wouldnt like these versions, while in fact we really enjoy it. From my point of view it has its own unique artistic style and when singing along I'd always go for the german-japanese pronunciation.

But other words like "schmutzigen Hände" for "dirty hands" sounds more like "schmetzge". schmutzigen (from "schmutzig" - [ˈʃmʊt͡sɪk]) would be [ˈʃmʊt͡sɪɡɛn]. :) Hope that helps.

I got married to my lovely wife who watched this show and shared the love Recently i was finally able to apply for new citizenship and got offered to change my name, i choose Eren and can’t wait to get my id holding this name And even though i read the manga 2 years ago and cried like a little boy by myself i still had my eyes tearing when i watched it with my wife Life has been weird since 2020 guys as i am laying down in the bed thinking about how I don’t feel any huge trumas living for +100 in my 27 I came across this ost I got flooded by memories and tears wanted to share above I also haven’t felt safer in my life than being in that balcony watching aot while tanks are 1km away Cheers

@@karaphantomhive1602 Oh, well, I was referring to the pronunciation in general. Bauklötze is actually not the issue. Phonetically translated it would be [ˈbaʊ̯klœtsɛ] so they really nailed that one. But other words like "schmutzigen Hände" for "dirty hands" sounds more like "schmetzge". schmutzigen (from "schmutzig" - [ˈʃmʊt͡sɪk]) would be [ˈʃmʊt͡sɪɡɛn]. :) Hope that helps.

I survived a war that was enforced to my country, I escaped death 2 times by then
I lost family members, we only demanded freedom
I left the country and all my memories there in 2015
I had to build something out of my self from 0 in a new country which is didn’t speak its language
This show felt like it was growing up with me it was so annoying to wait years for new seasons
It was like my friend for some reason i felt so close maybe too close to these characters
I am now somewhat successful in life at 27.
I got married to my lovely wife who watched this show and shared the love
Recently i was finally able to apply for new citizenship and got offered to change my name, i choose Eren and can’t wait to get my id holding this name
And even though i read the manga 2 years ago and cried like a little boy by myself i still had my eyes tearing when i watched it with my wife
Life has been weird since 2020 guys as i am laying down in the bed thinking about how I don’t feel any huge trumas living for +100 in my 27 I came across this ost
