Typically part of being a Splatoon squid allows them to go through grates... I wonder if that is a mechanic of that ability... But they didn't do much to make use of that ability in the Splatoon world that I saw, unless I missed seeing grates you were meant to travel through... As the game has shown, there seems to be an expectation of showing the exact ability you need via the signposts for when something doesn't seem clear... based on the obvious blue ink, I would assume the way to open the grate is either in the level, or innately passable via the Squid form ability. In Katana Mario, You seemed to entirely forget the utility of the slowdown ability they gave you... which was likely meant to be used against the shield-gun guards, and during that sniper gauntlet test... of course it was possible to do it without, but it does assist greatly against battles. I can definitely see how knowing the game origins can assist in playing them without frustration... the third world was Pizza Tower, with all the chaos and antics intact; the stage is an amalgymation of the game's levels Pizzascape, Bloodsauce Dungeon, and Wasteyard; and the boss, Pepperman, behaves in the exact same pattern as he does in the real game, minus the jumping parts in his fight. And given you knew nothing about the game, starting out with not only the boss first but also a double lap P-rank of the level you didn't explore at all probably wasn't the best idea... given you ended up doing the entire stage on a tight timer instead of experiencing the stage as it was meant to be played, then go for the P-rank. Of course, you could have also changed abilities in that stage, allowing you to run faster in straight sections if you bonked or couldn't find a slope to slide for increased speed. the use of squid form in the Doom world on the blue-ish water was clever though. I imagine each creator was required to apply 1-2 other abilities of other worlds, So it is interesting to see how they get applied to different world environments.

The one you called "like rogue legacy" is pizza tower. Also does the gargoyle head on the Doom pipe look like Trico from the last Guardian to anyone else?

Idk if you noticed, but shooting with the shot gun consumes coins. That's why the ammo gives you coins
The Level where you thought was crash Bandicoot is actually a Rayman level, Hoodlums are Rayman's enemies 😊
These worlds are so sick wonder how long it took to make
