Ignore him/her! Obviously a nut! I had the privilege of meeting Dave (Green Cross Code Man, Darth Vader!) Prowse at a comic convention! He was an extremely pleasant and warm man! R.I.P Dave Prowse!
He was in Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. He had to lift another actor in a wheel chair up and down a set of stairs. He was really big at that point and was wearing his glasses during the scenes. Worth checking out.
being a big vader fan and bodybuilder...not to mention a 70s baby growing up with him in hammer horrors ... I thank you for all you do.. Especially this one!💪🏻👌👍
Thank you for sharing this!! I only recently discovered that David was a bodybuilder, and since then I've been trying to find his workouts with little to no results. He truly was an icon, and gave us the most iconic villain of all time. Star Wars is my favorite movie series, and Vader is my favorite character. Not just within Star Wars, but just my favorite in general. RIP David Prowse, the original Sith Lord🖤
Great video Carlos. David really was a big strong man. When my wife was a child, she met David Prowse when he visited her school as the Green cross code man, teaching them about road safety. She said he was like a giant 💪🏻
To be fair though the decision to use James Earl Jones voice changed cinema forever. He was bitter about it for years which is why he had a falling out with Lucas.
@@michaelmanriquez4965 I thought about it, but I would want to first see if I could find the actual programs he prescribed to Reeves...then it would be worth doing
Far and away the best Prowse tribute on the internet, great job (once again) geb! Dave also starred as a robotic monster on “Space: 1999” in season 2, episode 16 entitled “The Beta Cloud”.
Geez, the force was strong with this one. (6"7 height! Titan..) I knew he had a BB background, but not to the extent of landing covers/performing serious feats. Awesome vid. Very informative. Will send this to my Star War nerd friends/clients ^.^
Thank you for uploading another excellent video; albeit one tinged with sadness at the death of such an iconic bodybuilder/actor - Dave Prowse was truly a big man, with a big heart. Just one question: what happened to his mag: 'POWER: Fitness: Health: Sport'?

My old roommate met him at a Sci-fi convention in the mid eighties and said he was badly stove-in from arthritis. I wonder if the arthritis was more from an autoimmune condition or really overdoing the iron. A powerful man and a sad loss.
See DAVID PROWSE in his last acting role as the NEW SUPER VILLAIN, SUNDER, which just premiered in my comic book last week when we got signed by Amazon's ComiXology & Marvel & DC Comics' distributors. I met Dave when I was about 6 years old & I promised him I would cast him when I grew up to let him show his face (since they didn't in Star Wars), & now I fulfilled that promise. He's genuinely intimidating in that scene and perfect for the role
Just a fantastic movie. He was very memorable.

It is sad that he was never given much credit for his role.
I agree, real sad. I hope my tribute can help increase awareness of his achievements

I believe he also trained Christopher Reeve for the first Superman movie. Great video.
I think he did, I think I seen it on TH-cam Christopher reeves training!!
He did, couldnt find footage of him training Reeves, only of Reeves training for the role

I think he had bad joints from polio as a kid. That's what made him even more impressive. When I met him he was quite old and on crutches. Nice chap

Strange David played as Darth Vader but his voice it's not used in the film,
People in Britain will recognise him as the green cross code man
It was a good call. Vader as a Bristolian doesn’t work. James Earl Jones voice is iconic now. It’s so deep and rich.
A clip of his actual voice being used in dress rehearsals for the original film is here on TH-cam.
