- 🔸So you ask for petrol for ₹ 500, the attendant asks you to check the meter at ZERO and then stats filling the petrol and stops at ₹ 100. When you ask him why he stopped at ₹ 100, he tells you that he heard ₹ 100 only. Then he says that no issues, he will reset and fill another ₹ 400 (will give some crap technical reason why he can’t continue from that same point).
At this point someone from his team distracts you while the attendant starts filling from ₹ 100 onwards itself, when you think that he had reset the meter back to ZERO. Then he goes till ₹ 400 and charges you ₹ 500 (₹ 100 + ₹ 400). You get petrol worth ₹ 400 only, but pay ₹ 500.
🔸In these tricks, someone distracts you in the name of PUC, cleaning of vehicle, or will just ask you some silly thing and you turn your eyes away from meter.
➡️To report fraud, customers can call the legal metrology officer in-charge whose name and number have to be displayed at petrol pumps.

I asked him to fill 720 ka petrol.. he started talking lambe tour ka plan h shayad Aaj bcz I was carrying one helmet at side of my bike for my mate… he filled 121 just to start the conversation that 1 rupee ka petrol jyada daal diya.. m bola 720 bola tha.. m bola 600 ka daal do.. usne vahi se meter chaalu kiya aur 550 k aaspaas se baar baar meter dekhra 600 pe rokne ko.. m bola 720 ka daalna.. bola 600 ka daalna h na.. M bola zero toh kiya nhi meter.. fir usne 720 ka daala.. ye scam hamesha krne ki koshish krte h ye log

It also happened with me once, i was with my uncle. My uncle asked the worker to fill 1000 rs. diesel but he only filled till 400 rs. .... then the worker said he didn't heared correctly and will fill more 600 rs. diesel into the car, but what he actually did was started the meter from 400 to 600, filling only 200 rs. value of diesel. I noticed the same and told my uncle, but he didn't believed me, and said it was not possible, lol😂, to run the meter without initialising it with 0, and just casually asked the worker if this was the case, and yes he declined. Then when we get back home I showed him your video, and he was shocked, to get a loss of 400 rs.😂

मैं भी पेट्रोल पंप पर जॉब करता हुं. ऑर ग्राहकों से निवेदन हैं की पेट्रोल पंप पर तेल डलवाते समय मीटर पर जीरो अवश्य देखे। अगर आप 500 का पैट्रोल/डीजल डलवाते हो और पैट्रोल पंप वाला कर्मचारी अगर आपसे यह बोले की सर मैने 100 रुपए सुना और 400 रुपए का पैट्रोल/डीजल डालता हूं तो 100 रुपए के बाद फिर से 0 देखकर ही अपने वाहन में तेल डलवाए। और जो ग्राहक 4 व्हीलर में पैट्रोल/डीजल डलवाते है उसने अनुरोध है की कृप्या करके अपने गाड़ी से 2 मिनिट के लिए निचे उतर कर मीटर पर ध्यान दे। धन्यवाद। 🙏

It's real and it happens in my city Bhubaneswar too. Once my dad asked to fill 500rs, he filled 100rs then asked Sir u asked for 100 right? My dad said no I asked for 500, He said oh! ok, sry sir my mistake. I thought it's 100,but no worries. I'll fill more 400 right now. I knew something is wrong, that guy looked like he is doing some mischief. I said rehne do aap. Hume der ho rahi hai, yeh lo 100rs. We left and filled rest at the next fuel station. These things happen and guys pls be aware. If they ask you aapne 100 ya 200ka bola thaa naa Sir/Mam. Then just agree with them, pay and leave. Fill rest in the next branch.

Upar k manager ko agar complain karne gaye toh woh log bolenge ki haan sir hum action lenge. Police ko iss k baare mein bole toh woh bolenge iss chhoti cheez k liye humko complain karne aaye ho? Aage se wahan petrol mat bharwana. Yeh log nahin sunte bhai. So be alert.
Just do this instead if they ask you how much, just answer full tanky and watch the meter and say stop when u want to.. I do this all the time and it has never failed me

They have already done a very clever setting in petrol pump dispenser what they do is that they only fill up 70% of the petrol not the whole money you paid for for example if I paid for 150 rupees petrol they will fill only petrol worth of 100₹ and they will steal 50 rupees

It has happened to me so many times and let me tell you about another scam .
If you're filling up petrol for 200 Rs and handing out 500 to the petrol pump guys , check carefully if they return you 300 or not . In my area in Bangalore they'll count the 3, 100 notes from middle of their stack of cash but while handing out they'll do it so smoothly and only give out 200 .
We can't even notice with out eyes unless we check the money when it's on our hand. Be careful everyone

It's happened to me, I tell him to full 300 but he fill only 100 then again he fill 200, later I notice that the fuel is low as I full regular, but at that time, i was late for college so I ignore this and move on.

Happened with me. Directly raised a grievance with HP on Govt PG Portal and got the full amount refunded within a week.

This scam happened with me and my mother too. I desperatly tried to convince her ki meter reset nhi kiya but she ignored me. The petrol pump guy was also pretending he didnt understand hindi. I tried to argue but was forced to shut up -_-
