    Really excellent video! I'm about to install Ikea cabinets in my renovated kitchen and this video will be VERY helpful. One question: With the sink cabinet in the corner, how do you access the shut off valves for the faucet? I see the cutout for the drain pipe, but can't figure out how you get to the shut offs.

    Nice work! Looks so easy but half the work was done putting the cabinets together before the video started. I'm nervous about the microwave above the range. It looks like there is a small exhaust fan in the bottom of the microwave. Does is just blow everything into the cabinet above it? I can't imagine that would be within code. All of that greasy steam coming off the range and into the cabinet would make a heck of a mess, not to mention create a fire hazard. Still very nice work. I really appreciate the way you made that corner sink cabinet work.

    Bro you are the Man! If you don't mind sharing, how much did you charge for that install? Couple more questions....
    1. Do you design the layout or do you just show up and install it?
    2. Would you install Ikea cabinets in your kitchen?
    Really nice job and work ethics.

      Hello!
      - installed this kitchen more than a year ago for about $2000,
      - I don't design, I just install.
      - I would take an ikea box frame and order a custom face and make a kitchen for myself.
      "I installed a kitchen for one client, it burned down, and it was an ikea kitchen that was installed in 2012, and after 9 years he also wanted a new ikea kitchen according to the old plans."

    Hello Max, I am super impressed with your kitchen fitting.. amazing! No messing and I think that your video shows how-to-do it well.
    I am doing the same now. Did you fit all of the feet to the base corner unit? I have found this the most awkward to fit. My walls are out 10mm and my floor is out too. I did take my measurements from the lowest point on my kitchen floor.
    Also, Ikea recommend using washer head bolt type screws for their rail system, so that they are screwed flush. I noticed that you used counter sink type screws; any reason for that?

    • @maxplus2849
      @maxplus2849  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For corner cabinet I put 8 feet to the base cabinet.
      You can do whatever Ikea recommends, I use the screws that I like. I don't think it makes much of a difference.

    Great video. It was super interesting to see the individual wood pieces needed to cover the spaces. But why did you add the wooden feet to the small cabinet right on the right of the sink? What does it do that the feet could not? Just holding it in place at the bottom?

    Hey @MaxPlus, What cutting saw do you recommend for DIY projects. A handheld circular saw or a table saw? and what blade will be ideal for super fine cuts.

    • @maxplus2849

    • @maxplus2849

      Because I did it myself. It's hard to cut the big panel by yourself on the table saw. Whenever I work with a partner, I use a table saw to cut the panel. The wall was somewhat plum.

    First, love your vidoes. I've watched this one at least three times. Thanks for taking the time, I know it slows your work down. Question, I have a run of cabinets similar to this video where one cabinet is on a 45 connecting an L shape. For the fillers on each side of the 45, you decided to go flush with the cabinets instead of with the doors/drawers. It looks good but I want to try to get the fillers flush with the doors/drawers in my kitchen. The obvious problem is the exposed cut finish on the angled edges of the fillers. I am thinking about covering the exposed edge with white melamine edge banding. Do you think that would work or do you have any other ideas? Thanks!!

    • @maxplus2849
      @maxplus2849  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both of your panels in that case have to meet with the exposed edges, and then it will not be seen. Ikeas door fronts are made out of pressed paper, banding edge are put on wood cabinets, so I don't think it will work.

      and now Ikea made a new one:
      www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nyttig-filler-piece-f-over-the-range-micro-00531235/
      The old one is better because it is made for all microwaves, but the new one works best only for Ikea microwaves.
      If you will be installing non Ikea microwave you will need two of these(and stick them together) to make it work for you.
