A 74-year-old who loves Rammstein and this "Engel" is my favorite of theirs. Look up lyrics as there is a great message along with the pyrotechnics.
The lead singer is actually a very humble and shy guy. He has terrible stage fright thats why invented a persona on stage for himself to cope with it. There is not that many interviews with him online especially in english but a lot of times he wears sunglasses so he has some privacy. With his own peers he is different and totally a blast, but that being in the spotlight is not for him.
This is my favorite band for obvious reasons. I've seen them twice and it was the most incredible experience of my life.
At outdoor shows he comes down from the top of the rafters in those angel wings.
I am SO lucky to have seen this tour and was right at the stage in the very front. Tops every single concert that I've ever seen, and thats hundreds of shows.
the whistling is recorded now in Flake's keyboards, and yes, those wings are heavy, 50kg or 110lbs is what most fans claim the weight is , anyway there heavy and he carried 'em into his mid 50's but had to stop as they messed up his back, tried him on ropes and a hoist but the effect wasn't the same..this concert was back in 2010 and it was their first concerts in the US since 9/11 and yes, they sold out in 20 mins with the band paying for the venue themselves, no promoter would touch them
Oh yes,Flake (pronounced Flock-ah) on the treadmill with the keys...ADHD does help with some things....he ended up on a treadmill after doing a few shows early on where he had to be tackled because he forgot about the timing of the fire spots on stage...as you can see,things are very planned and calculated for each performance
Oh yes,Till's a swimmer and a pro. Was set to go to the Olympics for swimming one year,but an injury dropped him out. He swims,he sings opera at times,he weaves baskets...each band member is quite unique here...

You got a new subscriber! You are a very likeable and intelligent guy. There are millions of Rammstein addicted people all over the world! Just dig deep into that rabbit hole and you won't regret it. There is a whole universe of great songs from Rammstein. Their videos are a work of art. I recommend Deutschland, Zeit, Adieu, Angst for example. But always look for a good english translation. Look for educated marine or buckstabu. Their lyrics are very deep and poetic with different layers of meaning. Very important to understand, it's not only the great music or the show. They got much more to offer!
Well stated and spot on. One of my regrets is that I did not discover and dig into Rammstein sooner. Just great and talented artists.

You’re actually not entirely wrong with the flying. If what I heard is correct Til once fell with the wings and isn’t able to carry the entire weight of the wings on his back anymore so nowadays he does actually fly with the wings and the wings do still spew fire so yep xD

Two songs I’d absolutely love to see from you are „Mein Teil“ as well as „Ich tu dir Weh“ the latter is an amazing representation of Tils range when it comes to singing. In case you want to react to one of their music videos I highly recommend „Deutschland“ about germanys history and the struggle as a German to want to love your country but not being able to due to its dark past, it’s a very heavy video though.

One of the best live performances out there. They are definitely on my bucket list but doubt i ever get to see them live but i have loved them since they hit America in the 90s. From what i understand, Til is a certified pyrotechnics expert which gives them more freedom to do what they do on stage.

When you see their live performances, you can have fun just to watch their show and listen to the music. As soon as you watch their official videos - a lot of them are cinematic - you'll want to know what's happening. Then the lyrics are necessary. And for some of their songs, even the lyrics alone are not sufficient to understand the message. In those cases, you'll normally get hints from the comments.

In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast".)

I’ve heard is white phosphorus being ignited and the wings are,controlled by the claw on his left arm.
