Nice information here, however I did purchase the annual subscription for my phone and the fishing ranges is still grayed out which is frustrating to say the least.
Just so everyone is aware, you can google ‘navionics webapp’ on your phone’s browser and get to the same maps for free. You won’t have other features of the app, but you can see the maps.
That is correct Mdiddy77. However, you can take your phone to the lake with you and it will track your movement on the screen to allow you to follow contour lines. Unless you have internet service on your computer it wont do you any good on the water. That is the benefit of having the app on your phone.
Wired for Crappie You can pull up the webapp on your phone’s internet browser too. It won’t follow you around, but you can compare it to the map on your GPS and make it work. I use it on my kayak instead of paying for a card. Just google “navionics webapp” on your phone and you’ll see what I mean
Mdiddy77, I use the web app at home all the time. However, when your on the lake you can not guess when you are trying to follow your contours. Best to have it on your cell phone where the gps will show you your exact location and follow you as you idle. The $15 a year cost is not a lot for all that the app offers. Also the web app does not offer the shading feature for depth ranges! Did you watch the video? Just asking because the web app does not offer any of the features I went over in this video.
Wired for Crappie I watched the video, but my comment was intended to help people who did not want to pay the monthly fee. They should be aware that the maps are still a valuable tool, and can be pulled up on the water
@@ms651156 Is there a monthly fee? I downloaded the app and saw nothing concerning a monthly fee. That, however, many explain why I can only do so much before i start having text writing over each other
Looks great! Do any of the fish finders have this built in or are you aware of any plans for them to build in? Would be much nicer than having to look at the small phone screen. Thanks
Great information, great tool on the water. I use it on fresh water and salt water.
Very helpful video….Thank you….

Thanks for watching!
What range would you use typically for wintertime?

I downloaded and the fish range option isn't working
Great content.. How deep do you fish for fall and winter crappie? Thanks!
Depends on weather. 10 to 15 ft is a good start.
My didn’t charge to pink
You have to pick the color you want it to change to
When you buy that is it a one time buy or is it a yearly thang
Yearly buy

I downloaded the app, however the "fishing ranges" setting is greyed out. It's not active. I can't use it. Can you tell me why it's like that?
Sure David, you have to get the yearly subscription. It used to be $10 a year.
