For some time, I have known about the incredible variety of delicious rice recipes from Persia. Now I will try to make this Adas Polo following your instructions, which are so nicely presented here! I tried the recipe today to break the fast as a side dish with lamb. I have used a clay pot from Morocco for the steam cooking and it works well. Except I wish I didn’t let it for 1h30 min even with medium-low heat. It is too long and the potatoes burnt at the end. Thank god it did not affect the flavor of the rice. But thank you so much for the recipe, I added 3 types of dates, and 2 types of raisins. I also added 3 fresh cayenne Peppers in the onions/dates mix to give nice looking dish.
I love this rice I get it in the sfv 818 and I get it with the lentils as well the rice got it in it but I'm talking about lentils by itself and they make a few different types of rice
My stepfather Bahram aka Tony was from Tehran. He made something similar to this with gold raisins. Im making some now! I love Persian food!!
