Dang if I would have known you were in Halifax I would have come and met you.I am from the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The home of the Bluenose, Lunenburg.
We did the ferry from Bar Harbor Maine to Yarmouth and back last time we traveled the states to visit with friends , long boat ride when your hung over and one of the last times i drank . We left the car in Bar Harbor. Next day we did a 19 hour drive home only to get up next day and drive another 4 hours to North Bay to visit my mom & dad . Long 2 weeks of Vakaa . Great vid Bill .
The airforce base that they wouldn't let you fly over is called CFB Shearwater. I have been on that base for a field training exersize with my cadet corps.
You have to go to the Five Fisherman for a meal. The seafood featured there is magnificent. I lived in Halifax for a year in 1997 so I'm not sure if it is still in business. Edit: I almost forgot: King of Donairs!! The sweet sauce is heavenly.
Awesome Bill....Love the water and the boat ride...Thanks
