I'm determined to learn how to box braid my own hair my go to protective style it's so costly to keep having people do it for me especially here in California gonna keep practicing until I get it good tutorial.
I also wouldn’t go based on how many boxes I did because we all have different Head shapes and hair density so that will definitely changes the # of boxes you will have

The more we add, the longer the braid or?
The more pieces you add the thicker the braid … but the lower you add the pieces the longer it will get .

How do you prevent your braid from twisting? I normally twist the hair so that I am able to braid it down which leaves a twist in my braid.
Honestly I used to do the same thing. It definitely just takes practice
