I have already change the input from PCc to the generic HDMI so now the TrueMotion setting is available. However, it only works when I change in the Nvidiea control panel to Ultra HD 4k 60hz. I know that you have mentioned that the C1 60hz BFI is like 156hz in motion. Can it bring back BFI at 120hz :) I'm guessing probably not. Also I was talking to some one who said he could put a C3 main board into a C2 oled. He also said that he could put a C1 main board into a C2 oled and it worked and it got him BFI at 120hz. He did say the wifi port connector on the C1 vs teh C2/C3 was different, though so he needed to buy a new wifi/bt adapter to use with the c1 main board. The good thing about this is it means that the BFI is probably locked out from the mainboard and not the TCON board. Meaning it's possible if someone was able to figure out what firmware needed to be changed one could get back the BFI 120hz. (assuming it's not in an ASIC or FPGA on the main board which is still a possibility). At least we know it's not blocked in the TCON or the panel itself though...
You get used to it. Coming from a Sony W905 LED (rolling Scan BFI, CRT like), I play games on my S90C in 144 Hz (120 via losless scaling for 60 fps lcoked). There is still blur but it is ok. 120hz 1/2 persistance compared to 60. Having also the extra Brightness (by not using BFI and no flicker) makes RTX HDR REALLY pop. Haha love your cap and glasses, great video again!!! It's 800 nits for HGIG. Set the HDR calibration app to 0 780 780 0, that creates an ICC profile that the HDR calibration app and Win11 AutoHDR uses. Win11 AutoHDR needs to get fix for most games using the Lilium's RC fix or the ICC profile I shared. RTX HDR just works
Okay but other than disabling that dimming setting, what other use would I ever have for this programme? Does it somehow allow BFI on 120hz on LG G3? I have LG G3 btw that's why I ask. It seems as useful as it is, it's also useless. Or am I missing somethging?
This ticked me off when I had the C4. I would always go into the Service menu to turn up the brightness but they locked all of that out. It was very frustrating. And no matter what "secret" settings I tried I couldn't get it to work. I could get to the point where I could set the brightness but then it'd go into this weird loop where the menu start thing would just be permanently on the screen until I reset the tv to get out of that mode. Very frustrating because the C4 can get eye watering BRIGHT. But LG artificially locks that ability away.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I don't know. I had the TV last month. It let me enter the service menu using 0413, then I would enter 7777 and I could view the old menu. Change my settings, hit restart, but it kept me in the Service Menu mode where it had that "Press Instart" thing scrolling across the screen and it honestly wouldn't let me do anything until I pressed the InStop to reset everything back to factory default. Good day and good luck. I have an OLED55C24LA TV. There is no "Oled cell info" in the service menu in the SW File (Version 13.30.85) update. How can I learn?
Huh, im going to try this on my samsung miniled. In game mode it halfs my nits from 2000 to 1000. Hopefully this works because it looks promising. And maybe i can force it to use the fluid motion stuff for games like a pseudo frame gen. Thanks for making this video!
I also have a Samsung miniled, they can get somewhat hot, so I guess capping the nits during game mode is to manage temperatures, running 4k 144hz HDR VRR with 2000 nits might lead to very high temperatures, so be careful.
The options on Samsung TVs are practically non-existent compared to the ones you have on LG. The most you can do is affect the wake/sleep behavior and enter the service menu which I wasn't able to do.
In PC mode on my Samsung, there's no hgig. Because it is locked with game mode, which looks horrible in motion. Could I be able to turn it on without game mode?
Works perfect, my LG G4 is auto detected, I mean my IP adress of my G4 is auto detected in app. My PS5 is connected in HDMI 1 port, so I selected PC HDMI port to HDMI 1, than select expert/picture/peak brightness and set to high. I see now SDR picture mode peak brightness is set on High. I wanna know if it still grayed out on High in SDR, does that mean is active or inactive?
Too bad it doesn't have the HDR Module toggle (yet? lest I'm missing something). It would be very helpful for SDR only sources. One thing that I absolutely use it for is to toggle PC Mode. Normally for video viewing I use non-PC Filmmaker mode with de-judder on 2, and de-blur on 10 (+ Motion Pro mid in SDR sources, giving me essentially 30fps movies judder free x4 strobed, not terrible for non-plasma/crt screens). But when gaming I automatically toggle PC Game Mode with Motion Pro High. A lot more convenient than going through the TV Menu.

How about Herz OC on the LG OLED C1 without issues bro? did you already try it and how did it work? How high can we go with the Herz on the LG OLED C1? I've got the C1 65 inches.
It doesn't go higher than 120Hz

The changes on the service menu are global. If you want more brightness for SDR content you can turn on Module HDR

Haha love your cap and glasses, great video again!!! Ali g indahouse!!!😂, many questions: how do I know that I have set win11 auto HDR, and AI nVIDIA RTX HDR, values correctly?, overwriting nVIDIA RTX HDR win 11 auto HDR values? , the nVIDIA RTX brightness slider doesn't seem to do much, and with HDR calibration, do you first set the TV my LG cs to the desired OLED brightness and then set the values correctly with the HDR app? or is it all game based?, and how do I know what the peak brightness of my LG cs is?
It's 800 nits for HGIG. Set the HDR calibration app to 0 780 780 0, that creates an ICC profile that the HDR calibration app and Win11 AutoHDR uses.
Win11 AutoHDR needs to get fix for most games using the Lilium's RC fix or the ICC profile I shared.
RTX HDR just works
Ali g was hilarious 😂
Okay but other than disabling that dimming setting, what other use would I ever have for this programme? Does it somehow allow BFI on 120hz on LG G3? I have LG G3 btw that's why I ask. It seems as useful as it is, it's also useless. Or am I missing somethging?
On Game Optimizer mode SDR peak brightness is locked, you can set it to high with this
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I found we can also enable HGiG with FMM with this. But that's about it.
Have you tested the s90d ? I’ve heard that it doesn’t lower the brightness when in game mode, that could make me switch from lg 😅
The S90D is better than LG WRGB OLEDs, just make sure that you have a completely dark room for it

On C2 with the WebOS 23 the menu of TPC, GSR and module HDR etc are no longer available is there a way to access
Yes, this app should let you in
This ticked me off when I had the C4.
I believe the app got an update to enter the C4 service menu
So you can no longer enter after a firmware update?
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I don't know. I had the TV last month. It let me enter the service menu using 0413, then I would enter 7777 and I could view the old menu. Change my settings, hit restart, but it kept me in the Service Menu mode where it had that "Press Instart" thing scrolling across the screen and it honestly wouldn't let me do anything until I pressed the InStop to reset everything back to factory default. I was thinking about rebuying the 83 Inch C4 since it's so cheap. And hope the Haze issue I had was simply on that unit.
Does this work with the 55 inch G3? I heard LG patched service menu on my model.
evet
Yes, it works for G3/G4
can you make a video for lg oled/woled monitors as well?
Most of the videos I've done recently are stuff that can be applied to all TVs and monitors, but this app only works for TVs for now.

I tried using colorcontrol app but even though I change the value the picture remains the same, also i manually pull up game bar but unable to make changes to the value outside of game mode. Is it really not possible.
It's not possible to use it outside of Game Optimizer Mode because it doesn't exist. Same with De-Blur De-Judder in Game Optimizer mode

my samsung is already bright, but now I've to check. thx
My Brother from Another Mother...
Are you saying I can change the game HDR brightness in my C4 and make it look like the LG G4 ?
On Game Optimizer mode, SDR Peak Brightness is locked, if you set it to High it might be brighter than the G4 OFF.
If you disable TPC and GSR you eliminate all dimming other than ABL
For my C1 configuration option is not there in the expert menu

120bfi requires an addictional piece of hardware, so even if we install a C1 Firmware on a C2 (both with the same pannel), it wouldn't work. That can be done btw
I have a problem that seems prety common with pc gaming in LG oleds, sometimes theres some issues that makes the video go black for a few seconds, the frame before it is like half green or looks like the colors are completly messed up, sometimes it can do its fast or even go Black untill you unplug the cable and reconect, can that software fix that or tell me the cause?, its like a year i was tryna fix this

Could you explain why you would want to change TPC and GSR?
It disables static image dimming which can happen in games where you have static logos, hud etc when you are afk. The other sets a higher full screen brightness to a higher level like 400 nits. So that is very bright indeed, useful if you are doing BFI or motion pro high
To disable all dimming other than ABL
So you fixed bfi together with HDR and compensate the loss of brightness From bfi?. Is my understanding correct?
I've shared many ways to get enough brightness for BFI, I still trying new ways

Why color depth 50 and not for example 55-60? What you choose this
The color red is clipping already at 50 on HDR

Hello, I've been looking for 1 month how come on my lg oled c3 2023 I can't change the hertz of my screen.
I see people with c2 do it and say it approaches 140hz but despite all the reasons that block I see none that are listed.
i wanted to know if these secret menus could help me with my problem (sorry, my english isn't perfect).
The C4 supports 144Hz but not the C3, the difference is almost insignificant plus getting a solid 144fps is very difficult on most games

actually it's supposed to be 120hz maximum but playing lots of games I'm not using my computer to its full potential
Can you explain me please why if red is clipping you should not increase color further, I need it for my own knowledge, thank you😊
Because it would clip even more, by clipping, I mean losing shades of red at the upper end, they'll look the same instead of having a clear differentiation
I know the C1 doesn’t have allm option on the tv but we are able to turn allm on through the console itself, Xbox and PlayStation have this option under its own settings. Can you turn allm on through your PC?
The Nvidia control panel has it on, but the imput lag is very high outside of Game mode.
The CRU app can also change that

Is there any setting for C4 Game Optimizer? On G4 Color booster can turned on. On C4 its not...
I didn't know that, I thought the color boosting was in Game Optimizer in both the G4 and C4, albeit still not as good as the other modes

Huh, im going to try this on my samsung miniled. In game mode it halfs my nits from 2000 to 1000. Hopefully this works because it looks promising. And maybe i can force it to use the fluid motion stuff for games like a pseudo frame gen. Thanks for making this video!
Let me know how it goes!
I also have a Samsung miniled, they can get somewhat hot, so I guess capping the nits during game mode is to manage temperatures, running 4k 144hz HDR VRR with 2000 nits might lead to very high temperatures, so be careful.

CC is very good I use it often
I wish they added that too

It will definitely increase the risk of burnt-in and reduce the lifespan of the TV
