Can it bring back BFI at 120hz :) I'm guessing probably not. Also I was talking to some one who said he could put a C3 main board into a C2 oled. He also said that he could put a C1 main board into a C2 oled and it worked and it got him BFI at 120hz. He did say the wifi port connector on the C1 vs teh C2/C3 was different, though so he needed to buy a new wifi/bt adapter to use with the c1 main board. The good thing about this is it means that the BFI is probably locked out from the mainboard and not the TCON board. Meaning it's possible if someone was able to figure out what firmware needed to be changed one could get back the BFI 120hz. (assuming it's not in an ASIC or FPGA on the main board which is still a possibility). At least we know it's not blocked in the TCON or the panel itself though...
You get used to it. Coming from a Sony W905 LED (rolling Scan BFI, CRT like), I play games on my S90C in 144 Hz (120 via losless scaling for 60 fps lcoked). Too bad it doesn't have the HDR Module toggle (yet? lest I'm missing something). It would be very helpful for SDR only sources. One thing that I absolutely use it for is to toggle PC Mode. Normally for video viewing I use non-PC Filmmaker mode with de-judder on 2, and de-blur on 10 (+ Motion Pro mid in SDR sources, giving me essentially 30fps movies judder free x4 strobed, not terrible for non-plasma/crt screens). But when gaming I automatically toggle PC Game Mode with Motion Pro High. A lot more convenient than going through the TV Menu.

The options on Samsung TVs are practically non-existent compared to the ones you have on LG. The most you can do is affect the wake/sleep behavior and enter the service menu which I wasn't able to do.
In PC mode on my Samsung, there's no hgig. Because it is locked with game mode, which looks horrible in motion. Could I be able to turn it on without game mode?
Good day and good luck. I have an OLED55C24LA TV. There is no "Oled cell info" in the service menu in the SW File (Version 13.30.85) update. How can I learn?

I see now SDR picture mode peak brightness is set on High. I wanna know if it still grayed out on High in SDR, does that mean is active or inactive?
How about Herz OC on the LG OLED C1 without issues bro? did you already try it and how did it work? How high can we go with the Herz on the LG OLED C1? I've got the C1 65 inches.
Okay but other than disabling that dimming setting, what other use would I ever have for this programme? Does it somehow allow BFI on 120hz on LG G3? I have LG G3 btw that's why I ask. It seems as useful as it is, it's also useless. Or am I missing somethging?
Ummm i must have done something wrong put in IP adress, MAC adress, name, PC HDMI port: "HDMI1". Then i refresh and when to expert and there is no config in the menu. Can you help ? (I have wi fi for tv so that is what i put in but ethernet for computer).

Both of the HDR profiles are suddenly gone and it now says 1499 nits on the pc settings for my C1. It has happened before too and I have to add the profiles again. How do I prevent this from happening?
Click the add manually button and enter your network info (find that on your Samsung TV). It might not have all the options that LG has, but it can definitely get you into the service menu to get more brightness if you want

Lovely video! But man I gotta say, I am super afraid of getting burn in on my C4, it would be awesome to turn off the abl, however I feel the risk of hurting the display becomes super high after this. The LG C4 gets temporary image retention super fast in all games after just 2-3minutes of play. I do not recommend this on a C4. This would damage your LG OLED permanently. Its great for C1, but on my LG C4 that already had 1100nits peak brightness I believe it could kill my tv honestly. The protection is there for a reason I feel. Other then that, love you Ariel amazing video as always! 😎👍
You have to be smart about it. This is with disabled TPC/GSR. First always use dark mode/dark theme for what ever app you use on your pc. Always hide task bar. Use ' dark reader ' extension for your browser so you browse the internet in black background and white text. I been doing this for 3 years on my C-1 and no burn in what so ever. ( You gonna like your electricity bill also better)
Really, I absolutely hammer my RGB-OLED Sony BVM (JOLED), I have properly abused it, left it on a static photoshop image for hours on end by accident many a time over the years, and not a peep of burn-in, same for my PS Vita OLED (also RGB-OLED), admittedly JOLED is a very different tech to WOLED, but post 2020 WOLED canny be that bad surely.

I wish they added that too
This is how I unlocked 1400nits on my s90d. The default was 900nits 💩
What size, s90d does 1300 nits at default.
Give me whatever this dude is on.. Im tired and cranky. I'd be very curious if this app would work with my LG OLED gaming monitor.
Jokes aside, I've never tried any drugs in my life, I only eat whole grains, starches, fruits, and vegetables (rarely nuts). I don't eat any oils, animal products, sugar, salt, or any other process crap.
My record is 40 pull-ups in one set, 120 push-ups in one set, and I can run a marathon, too
The app doesn't work for monitors
@plasmatvforgaming9648 I've been watching you videos for like 2 years now. Yeah I know you don't do drugs just being funny.
Is there any setting for C4 Game Optimizer? On G4 Color booster can turned on. On C4 its not...
I didn't know that, I thought the color boosting was in Game Optimizer in both the G4 and C4, albeit still not as good as the other modes
I don't know if there's a way to force that
hi guys always great videos i want to ask if there is someone who plays games with qned tvs and not the Oled👑 i got the Colorcontrol from long time ago but to be honest dont realy know what to change for HDR to be good for Gaming or other stuff if someone have some fast recomendations to share i will realy apreciate thank you and keep going
Who is laughing in the background?😂
I laugh before every video to get into the mindset
Yo plasma! Is it possible to change the black and white stabilizer outside of game optimizer picture mode? I tried using colorcontrol app but even though I change the value the picture remains the same, also i manually pull up game bar but unable to make changes to the value outside of game mode. Is it really not possible.
It's not possible to use it outside of Game Optimizer Mode because it doesn't exist. Same with De-Blur De-Judder in Game Optimizer mode
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 gotcha thank you

The options on Samsung TVs are practically non-existent compared to the ones you have on LG. The most you can do is affect the wake/sleep behavior and enter the service menu which I wasn't able to do.
I guess it'll improve because they just added Samsung recently
In PC mode on my Samsung, there's no hgig. Because it is locked with game mode, which looks horrible in motion. Could I be able to turn it on without game mode?
Good day and good luck. I have an OLED55C24LA TV. There is no "Oled cell info" in the service menu in the SW File (Version 13.30.85) update. How can I learn?
That's estranged, I've never heard of that. But it's most likely a WBE panel (Evo panel)
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 yes evo panel . Same as OLED55C2AUA

Works perfect, my LG G4 is auto detected, I mean my IP adress of my G4 is auto detected in app. My PS5 is connected in HDMI 1 port, so I selected PC HDMI port to HDMI 1, than select expert/picture/peak brightness and set to high. I see now SDR picture mode peak brightness is set on High. I wanna know if it still grayed out on High in SDR, does that mean is active or inactive?
Even when it looks grayed out it's working, if it says High it's High
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 You are awesome man, thank you. Best regards 🤗
firmware update incoming lol (jk but imagine), disconnect your tv from the internet haha
How about Herz OC on the LG OLED C1 without issues bro? did you already try it and how did it work? How high can we go with the Herz on the LG OLED C1? I've got the C1 65 inches.
It doesn't go higher than 120Hz
Nice :) How to get a adblock for tv apps like TH-cam app ? :) Is that possible ?
Search about Pi Hole
I haven't tried it but I've heard about it
Is turning those protections off not harmful to the tv? Does that not increase the risk of burn in?
yes it does
so what
Yes, it will increase the risk of burnt-in and reduce the lifespan of the TV
brightness?
i try to play as dim as possible.
Are these one of those sunglasses they promote to boomers on cable tv? 🙂
These are 99% blue light filter fit over glasses, it was a joke of course
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 🙂
thankuuuuu
Okay but other than disabling that dimming setting, what other use would I ever have for this programme? Does it somehow allow BFI on 120hz on LG G3? I have LG G3 btw that's why I ask. It seems as useful as it is, it's also useless. Or am I missing somethging?
On Game Optimizer mode SDR peak brightness is locked, you can set it to high with this
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 I found we can also enable HGiG with FMM with this. But that's about it.
Ummm i must have done something wrong put in IP adress, MAC adress, name, PC HDMI port: "HDMI1". Then i refresh and when to expert and there is no config in the menu. Can you help ? (I have wi fi for tv so that is what i put in but ethernet for computer).
You have to add it under additional settings first in the color control app
will this work on newer LG gaming monitor? since i can only access the small very incomplete service menu
Not that I know of, just TVs
Anyone here with LG C1 - NOT missing "config" menu ?
You have to add it first under additional settings in the color control app
Does any of this work For Streaming Movies/TV Shows USB Plug in's And Normal TV watching ? Thanks Mate
The changes on the service menu are global. If you want more brightness for SDR content you can turn on Module HDR
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 so just to clarify it works on all the thing i wrote to you
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 and does it work on SONY TCL
I’ve used the service menu a couple of times earlier so I’m screwed anyway if I need repair and they check that. I got a problem on my pc after adding HDR profile. Both of the HDR profiles are suddenly gone and it now says 1499 nits on the pc settings for my C1. It has happened before too and I have to add the profiles again. How do I prevent this from happening?
I've heard they don't care to check.
I guess it's just buggy. Idk how to fix it
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Okay, thanks for your answer.
Is this software working on Sony TV’s ?
Not yet, but I bet they're working on it
Does this work with LG gaming monitors?
Just for TVs
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 thanks
doesnt work for samsung i dont see the controller or options
Click the add manually button and enter your network info (find that on your Samsung TV). It might not have all the options that LG has, but it can definitely get you into the service menu to get more brightness if you want
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 works now! Thanks
Does this work with the 55 inch G3? I heard LG patched service menu on my model.
evet
Yes, it works for G3/G4
Assuming this doesn't work for monitors, just tvs
Just TVs
Yes I flip the bird everytime my samsung monitor dims
On my LGG1 i dont have in the CC app expert submenu i dont have a config
You need to add the config option under additional settings in the color control app
Does this work for monitors? What ip and mac adress do we use?
I don't believe so
😂😂😂😂love ya man❤
Sir while playing hdr games on pc in lg c4 oled
I am confused if i should keep 4:4:4 passthrough enable or disable
Also sir i have found in hgig mode black level above 40 does not look good
And in dtm on black level above 30 does not look good
When using PC mode it's already allowing 444
If the game looks washed-out fix it with Reshade or any of the other methods I've shared. The TV calibration isn't likely to be that bad
@@Odder-Being Yes, but I am on PS5 and not all games have HUD disabler 😭
I am still super happy with the brightness on my display but I dislike ABL 😁
Really, I absolutely hammer my RGB-OLED Sony BVM (JOLED), I have properly abused it, left it on a static photoshop image for hours on end by accident many a time over the years, and not a peep of burn-in, same for my PS Vita OLED (also RGB-OLED), admittedly JOLED is a very different tech to WOLED, but post 2020 WOLED canny be that bad surely.
@@Wobble2007your have won the OLED lottery with those displays, my C4 has perfect uniformity, so I don’t wanna ruin it with image retention and burn-in 😂 finally perfect image in grey and darkness.
