@@GBeWinginIt Heck, my bones ain't even that old and THEY need pampering. Riding uncomfortable bikes is a young man's game, which we are clearly not cut out for :D
@@GBeWinginIt hmmmm the stock has a hump in the middle which hurts my tail bone. When you say stiffer, that makes me double think. The stock felt like sitting on a pole versus something that cradles your full bottom like a cushion. I cannot find a place to test out this seat so looking for input. Thanks for the feedback.
Sweet G! Your bike is set up nicely for that Iron Butt to Florida for something special on a menu somewhere. Looking sharp as always. Good seeing you out.
Hey G, I sold my Victory and bought a late 2017 R1200 GSA. It had low mileage and all of the farkles on it including the heated seat and the same bar risers as your Motorcycle. I did a 200 mile day ride on it this past weekend. What a difference it makes shedding the motorcycle weight and these bikes really handle well. I am a little taller than you and weigh around 270 so I have my seat in high position and flat foot no problem, so I will keep it there. Since I now live in South Dakota, I am planning a trip to Eastern PA later this month and may go for an Iron Butt. Not bad for a 69 year old. That seat does look comfy, but I have no problem with my current one. One question I have is what boots you wear for non-offroad riding.
I wear a few pair of TCX boots. Linked below is a video review i did on one pair. Also check out my gear review playlist for other favorite. th-cam.com/video/I7eeLZTWkhg/w-d-xo.html
Love ya GB but I’m with those that believe that when you spend $30,000 on a motorcycle you shouldn’t have to spend another dime to make it safe or comfortable.
Oh I agree whole heartedly but motorcyclist are a finicky bunch and we come in all shapes and sizes. Sure glad there’s an aftermarket to support our wants and needs.
It’s simply insane! That aftermarket is there to replace what you wear out or no longer works properly. It’s not there too make your bike safe or comfortable when you purchase it after spending $30,000. That’s just insane!
@@ronwigginton3880I did spend a ton on lights for safety and many other aesthetically pleasing extra's. I considered an aftermarket seat for awhile as well. In comparison the GSA"s total package stock is more than enough for me. The stock seat was fine, I wanted a larger surface so this addition placed my higher and further back. The Wunderlich risers complete the package.
I subscribed today thinking you are a Goldwing channel to click on recent videos to find something totally different, unsubscribed because I could care less about BMW's..Been there done that ....
I have over 300 video on the Goldwing that I own and ridden since 2018. Check my playlist you’ll find all the passion, all things 6th generation goldwing.
Comfort IS king! Love the upgrades, man!
These old bones require pampering.

How does the sargent seat compare to the stock? Trying to compare what I don't like about the stock seat to you.
Sargent seat is wider and firmer provides much more support. In turn this distributes my weight better than stock.

Sargent has a flat and wide surface as compared to stock. So no pressure or pole like stabbing or pinching sensations.

Thanks! It feels good to take another step towards setting up one’s motorcycle for comfort.

Is that an armored shirt? I’ve been looking for the right one. Also, is the seat heated?
Yes, I’m wearing a Reax Bridger armored shirt. I opted for the non heated seat. My stock seat was not heated.
Do you feel like you can ride that Sargeant seat several hundred miles in a day with no problem?
@@leadfooty Absolutely! I’m a few thousand miles on it now and don’t even think about what’s going on down there. So it must be working.

Let me ask you GB, when you bought your Goldwing, did you spend thousands of dollars on it after purchasing it to make it comfortable or safe?
