When you read about legends you realize how small the fleets are They're actually quite small But that's understandable Because When these books were being made The prequels Didn't Come out yet, so they didn't have a big contacts on how big the galaxy was
And to think this battle was fought after Isard deliberately weakened Coruscant’s Defenses to make it a more tempting target for the New Republic. Originally a dozen Star Destroyers defended Coruscant, but this number was cut down to just two (Monarch and Triumph).
Agreed. I remember being a but surprised reading on the wiki that the empire had 25,000 ISDs. It's as though someone pulled that number out of their ass -it just incompatible with the scale of fleets that we see on screen or in the novels. The battle of Exogel was an exception, but the less said about that cinematic debacle the better
Fun compilation of Eu stories and film mythos. I pretend Imperial Center is a different planet in the Coruscant system, so I can stand myself enough to love both Zahn and Dark Empire. I actually bought Dark Empire when it came out and read Heir to the Empire a few years later. The continuity in Heir is much tighter than Dark Horse's comic, but the dark tone of the series makes it classic IMHO.
One thing i've learned by going into warhammer 40k Maybe realize Star wars Ship at battle's Don't make sense at least at the size of their fleets For galactic war You'd really have tens of thousands of ships going after each other In just one engagement Not to mention How big planets And solar systems are and you can have massive fleets coming from every direction Or guarding every planet in that Solar system
I always thought the capture of Coruscant and the decline of the Empire was more organic in the original EU than the new canon.

Nice research here! Great job with the pictures and use of the Essential Guide to Warfare.
This is where the fun begins
...SO prefer Legends material to what they're churning out these days!

8:49 ahhh this is just so painful to hear. Man Disney sucks..
He also came back in legends but I prefer the legends version
So giving guns back to citizens is what made people join the New Republic
Basically
