Nice me mades. Very productive year. I hope you are happy with your successful year. This is constructive criticism, so take a deep breath, breathe out. Look back at this video and notice the back of your tops. Some of them hike up in the back. Do you think you need to consider doing a sway back adjustment? Is it difficult for you to find ready to wear garments that fit you? I love your dedication to making a muslin that fits before you start sewing your pattern. Can't wait for the big reveal of the Christmas dress.
I definitely agree that I need to do more work on back fitting. I am not sure about sway back, I've never tried that one. I've recently worked more on broad back and forward shoulder adjustments. I am still very new to fitting, so it is still a process, hence the muslin videos I've done. When I was editing this video, I was kind of annoyed with myself for not doing more fitting over the year, but 🤷♀️ what are ya gonna do? I've also gained like 10 lbs this year, so that didn't help either. I do appreciate you mentioning it though, because as a beginner, it's hard to know where to start with fitting. So I am alway up for constructive comments about fit issues. Thank you 😊
Haha, thank you! I think it looks better than it is, because when I was editing, I was thinking it wasn't so bad! It's rides up so much though, it's one of those tops that you have to wear standing still 😂🤷♀️
Hello! I just found your channel (maybe from TIMA?) and I'm so glad I did! I'm a million years older than you, but I always enjoy seeing young women interested in sewing, particularly when it so apparently brings them joy. Thank you so much for sharing your makes and your plans. I look forward to more.
Thanks for sharing. Your insight was very useful. I found a great tip for those pesky serger ends. I use a darning needle to thread them back through the serged stitches. It tucks them away neatly.
I love your wildergown. I also put effort into fit and make muslins like you do. I am focused on learning fit better this year. I repeat patterns too, my favorites are MN Sudley, TATB indigo and I’m making M 7969 for the 4th time with a scoop neck instead of a wrap, I still can’t get that part to fit right.
We are on the same path to better fit together then! It is tedious, but I keep hope that all the effort will pay off! I've only made the M7969 out of those three. I think I could definitely work on the fit of that one more. I really like the pattern still. It's such a comfy dress! Good luck and happy sewing! 💫😊
I love that one too! 😊 I was so surprised how much I had made when I got everything together to put on the rack! I didn't realize how productive I really was!
I love how your clothes rack is so colour co ordinated. I can see why you love the Nikko top as it fits you great. I agree with the other commenter that the cream toaster is probably my fav as well. Have a great Christmas Katie.
Thank you so much! I didn't realize how much I sewed until I got them all together on the rack. I learn something from everything I sew, so even if I don't like it in the end, it was worth it! 👍
You didn’t ask us to vote for our favorite, but I really love your cream toaster sweater. I’m partial to that pattern and you matched it up perfectly with the right fabric!
Do it! is very satisfying getting the gang all together! I had my colors done once and so I stick to my palette, I need to branch out within the palette though!!
I hear you on the Pattern Scout Comfi Lounge set...I LOVE the ones i've made so far! More to come, definitely! Lots of lovely makes and I really like the colour palette you've worked in. Awesome stuff!
it's really neat to see them all hanging together. it looks like you have a really defined color palette. i've enjoyed watching your vlogmas. congrats on making it all the way through!
Thank you! I really enjoyed getting the gang together and seeing them in chronological order, very satisfying. I had my colors done once and now I am really into making sure I choose "my colors". I need to branch out a bit though...I have a lot of rust in my closet....
You should try an open front long tunic button down. It's my new favorite it's become a staple in my closet. I have a tan camel colored one and a minty sky blue one too. I even can wear in summer too the fabric is really light and breezy but not sheer and can be worn fully buttoned up as a dress or open. Looks great in winter too with long sleeves under it but the cuffs rolled up.
@@WanderingBobbin no I've not made one but would like to. I have one with a point collar and cuffs like a giant button down. They all hang below my knees. But are pretty basic tunic/kaftans with open fronts. The ones I have I bought from modanisa. This winter I want to make my own. I like to wear them with jeans and any top and leave front open. Makes me feel feminine even in jeans because it's long and flowy.
The McCall's 7969.... would be cute left with front open or a tie waist and wear as a swim cover. I have one almost exactly like it but it's open front and has a channel around the waist for a tie. I wear it for swim and I wear it over jeans and a tshirt too. I'm going to try to make some but full length.
Lovely makes Katie! I really like the Halloween top. You should make that again in a non holiday fabric. You wear fullness at the hip so well. I go out of my way to avoid it! Take a look at the Forte top by Love Notions, view A. Can’t wait to see your Holiday dress😊
I am the opposite of so many people...I need to add width in the hips where most people want to take it away! I just looked up the Forte! Looks just like the Peppermint one except it's for knits! That would be a good one to add to my stash....I'll have to add it for next time I am buying. Thanks for the suggestion!
Sometimes I just randomly hear about them by browsing Instagram or watching other sewists on TH-cam (I watch a lot of Friday Sews). Also, the TH-cam channel called "Michelle Sews Again". Michelle has been doing monthly roundups of challenges! Somehow she manages to find them and put them all in one place! I hope she keeps doing them.
hello im new subscriber ..well good job girl ..i liked the shirred top and i hope next year you'll try to make some dresses it will suits u alooot trust me ...good job again
MINERVA ...is the worst ...when you order comes...measure your fabric...it is always at least 2 inches short ....my last order one if the fabrics was a whopping 7 inches short ...I reported this to Minerva ... and they just did not care ...
That's terrible to hear about Minerva! 🙁 I have to admit...I've never measured anything after it was sent to me 🙈 I will from now on though! No excuse for 7 inches to be missing!!!

Great job!! Loved watching this and seeing all your makes. My favorite was that tie top that you said came out small...looked perfect to me!

My fav is the rust granpaw sweater. The sweater fabric is AMAZING!
Thanks, Sandra! It’s super cozy!
You should be proud of all of your makes, So many me makes that work in everyday wear.
Thank you, Christine 😊 Happy New Year! ✨
@@WanderingBobbin Happy new year to you too!

You really made a lot. A very successful and productive year. Loved the third item, the blouse in dark red. Looks really good on you.
I love that one too! 😊 I was so surprised how much I had made when I got everything together to put on the rack! I didn't realize how productive I really was!
Thanks for sharing your work, very inspiring to see what other sewers create.
Thank you for watching! I am also so inspired by what I see on TH-cam, Instagram, etc! Sew fun!
These are all so great! Thanks for making the Comfi lounge set and sharing! 😍
Thank you for watching! Love the pattern and hoping to make more! 😊
You should be really proud of a lovely me made wardrobe
Thank you so much, Tamara! ☺️ After seeing all my makes together, I have to say I am feeling proud! I made all that! Can’t believe it!
Great recap! I like hearing comments on various patterns. I find the feedback on personal makes useful. Thank you for sharing!
Cheryl
Thanks, Cheryl! I am already looking forward to next year's recap video! I wonder what it will look like!
Nice makes! You were very productive this year! I love the off white toaster sweater with the funnel neck!
Thank you, I was more productive than I thought before I did this video! The white toaster is one of my favs too!
I love how your clothes rack is so colour co ordinated. I can see why you love the Nikko top as it fits you great. I agree with the other commenter that the cream toaster is probably my fav as well. Have a great Christmas Katie.
That is one of my favs too! ♥️ Merry Christmas! 🎄
Such wonderful work, even the garments that you don't love it still a great accomplishment!

So prolific! I love all of them and can’t wait till tomorrow for the final reveal! 💗
Thanks, Lynn! Can't believe the end of Vlogmas is here!

I should have asked everyone's favs! I love that one too! I think it came out really nice!
I have LOVED your VLOGMAS!
You’ve done a great job and I look forward to what you create in 2022.
Merry Christmas and a Very Good New Year.
Thank you so much! That is such a nice compliment😊 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎉
Great video! I would love to hear more about the lettuce hem. It's a cute finish.
Thank you, Gloria! I actually have a tutorial I made on how I did my lettuce hem on my serger! th-cam.com/video/tpReQqgfQts/w-d-xo.html
You did fantastic! You have a very nice matcthing pallate throughout the whole year. Now I wanna go hang mine all together on a rack and look at them.

Use same fabric to put a neckband on the orange knit you served. Will fix the funny neckline
Thanks for the suggestion! I’d love to be able to fix it up to wear!
Great makes! You did amazing!

Love your toaster sweaters.
Thank you, Mari! They are my favs, in the top 5 for sure!
Your items look so nice! Are you doing a 2023 video? Also those nikko tops would look beautiful with skirts!
No 2023 video ☹️ I didn’t end up having all that many finished projects. Fingers crossed for 2024 though 🤞
Nikko tops I really like I'll have to try it. I want more long sleeves for layering
Definitely give it a try! I really love the pattern!
Well done Katie!
Thank you, Kathy! 😊
A long full peplum would look so cute on you.
Love all your garments! You mentioned several sewing challenges. Where do you hear about them? I think it may motivate me to sew more.
