It's all about thinking person to person. A couple, a group of friends, a family - I don't think they will feel comfortable in riding with 70 unknown people. That's what i feel rest all of them have their point of view like yours. Also would like to tell you govt. Ferry runs from 1 point to another for 5-15mins and this shikara runs for 5-6 hours from 1 point to same point along with covering each sightseeings. 😊

But when I will travel with my family ..I plan to do a houseboat experience ...my reasons are not only privacy buy also good food , toilet facilities which are very imp .
