They are called us-tube and is made of brass. I usually go between 10-12mm for these flies

Will this weighted fly work well in winter season for steelhead (for depeer action in fast current) ?

I think the fly would work well but this exact color Im not so sure. It's a color combination that usually works in copper tinted water. Check my other flies for different color schemes. I have a website laxflugor.nu with a lot of fly patterns as well.
