For any Anyone that, as a kid, sat on the curb and watched construction workers put in a new road or build a house or a building. The fascination doesn’t end. I still love watching this stuff and I don’t even know why. Big machines moving a lot of stuff? Sold! Love the channel!
It’s all about a little human manipulating a powerful machine to do his bidding
You should operate one. I’ve ran a 339 a 349 and a 374 excavator. Impressive to scoop a small car worth of dirt in one move.
Yep it’s very enjoyable! Largest machine I’ve ran was a rental PC490 we where 35ft deep laying storm drain in at a new Ashley furniture plant acouple years back.. thing was massive and would move very large amounts of dirt without a struggle.. i person own 2 smaller machines then Chris’s but it’s in the work too get something around the same size or alittle bigger then his. Watching how it’s such an all around machine has really pushed me too buying a new one. We have been thinking about getting into ponds but normally all I do is dig basements and clear lots and land for farmers. But getting a much larger machine would widen my operation a lot.. you really don’t know how much you are limited until you see what 2 sizes up can do as far as work where it would wear my machines out or take an extra week to do 😂

Same here I learned alot and they always took time out to answer one of my crazy questions or showed me the right way to do things so nobody gets hurt
Chris its been an honor to have followed your journey all these years to see the man you have become and also the great success, I feel silly saying this but (if) you get any spare time you should speak at a local school about grit and determination and how it pays off in life.., I am so proud of you.

Chris, Was just thinking, You should be "very" proud of yourself a young Man in his mid- 30's already having, and "owning" your own Dirt Works Company !! That's pretty damn awesome if ya ask me !! I know you have had to stop a min. and look at what you have going on , and tell yourself, " I'm on my way" !! All those working 7 days a week have really paid off Man, I know myself and those that also watch you are thinking the same thing !! Just want to say Congrats !! Chris your on your way, and I hope the phone rings off the wall, with people wanting you to do work for them. It's been pretty awesome to see you grow and you build your business up into what you have today !! Keep the videos coming so, we can all enjoy seeing what the future brings for ya !! It’s the easiest and most scariest job, backing up a truck that you are not familiar with. Enjoyed!!

Yes I did . It normally takes a few minutes to get used to a piece of equipment that I have not ran before
@@Todd.Roberts as a semi truck driver who also used to drive haul trucks, I say you picked it up pretty fast, especially when you have the extra tension of being on camera! Lol
As I tell other drivers who are having trouble backing up, pull ups are free!
Better to pull forward and get positioned better than try to do it in one shot and get into trouble, but most people pressure to do it in one shot.
But yes, it's a bit different in a floppy cab like that lol
There are 3 rules to backing up, in order of importance:
1. Don't hit anything!
2. Get where you need to go.
3. Look good doing it!
I am 100 percent on 1 and 2, and sometimes I get lucky on 3!

You are 100% correct about how far he has come. This is a prime example of an American who works hard, takes risks and perfects his craft so he can be wildly successful. This is opposed to those who choose to spend their days watching video games in their moms basement or even worse trying to tear statues down to make some sort of perverted political point.
More people need to be made aware that success in America is not impossible.

Awesome! Got a whole crew!!! For anyone who has never driven a articulated machine it is very odd, and to top it off the trucks are even worse cause your on the end that gets thrown around! In a wheel loader you don't get tossed like you do in those trucks!
When you steer first you move sideways the wrong direction then you go around the corner🤔
Beautiful work as usual. Watched another half acre pond build. The dam failed, then some experts gave them advice. They ignored that advice, which was to pack the clay in lifts with the sheepsfoot roller like you did here. I bet this thing holds up no problem.
After a few years as an OTR trucker, he got into dirt work and loved it so much, he continued into his 70s until cancer took him out. He lived in Mississippi last and he had to sell out, so my brother and I could move him up here. His life was his work.

You have a good Channel. I wanted to be a road grader man when I was a boy. I had the metal toy construction toy graders, dump trucks, bulldozers, steam shovel, and crane, we would play in the dirt all day with my friends. I like the real stuff glad you are doing the channel.

My Dad used to have an Excavation Company back in the day, he cleared trees, built ponds actually built a Football field for the HS in Commerce Oklahoma. He uses to let me drive the dozer to the truck to refuel.. Pretty exciting stuff for a 13/14 year old kid. I have always admired heavy equipment operators and wished I could have carried on my Dads Co, but the equipment was just to old and too expensive to keep up so he sold out. Letsdig18 and Dirt Perfect are my favs I could watch all day long.. Im now 62 LOL. Still a kid a heart!!! Keep the Videos coming... love it.

You ‘now this, but we are all seeing it and just as happy for you!! The crew will have a great boss. (If it gets to that point for work, and that’s what you want.) You created a new driver, and the Dozer operator obviously has skills with the excavator, packer, and very likely can run the haul truck just as well!! Nice!!

Chris the haul truck looks really nice. Painting the truck was just preventative maintenance and there is nothing wrong with taking pride in how your equipments looks especially when you have put the money into it that you did to make sure it is working correctly. It is nice to have friends that can help when you need it.
