  • AMSOIL COLD FLOW VS POWER SERVICE ANTI-GEL Diesel Additive.
Did you know Up to 80% of the wear on a motor or component such as a differential, transmission can occur during the cold start?
A cold start is considered the first time you start your vehicle the next day after sitting overnight, whether the outside temperature is cold & the oil doesn't flow or move, or super hot outside & the oil additives no longer allow the oil film to stick and adhere to The vital metal components - like bearings and different metal parts.
AMSOIL is different because it's 100% synthetic & keeps a much higher film strength longer on the metal components keeping metal parts separated with less friction, less heat, & less wear.
A oil manufacturer can call a full synthetic full synthetic when it's only 25% synthetic.
AMSOIL is 100% Synthetic & flows better in cold conditions because of the high quality cold flow additives in the motor oil, ATF, & differential lubricants.

It’s amazing how an simple additive keeps an liquid (diesel) from freezing up!!! This video is great as it shows almost any anti sludge treatment is better then none but me knowing how much Amsoil tests their products I will trust them without an doubt

Yeah I added a little too much of each however next time I'll do a better dosage more similar to what someone would use.
It was surprising though how much less settling there was after they default.
Amsoil had less wax settling at the bottom which can clog the filter

I'm using the Amsoil all in one, which has some protection from freezing, I just wanted to let everybody know it works great for added fuel mileage. I drove from my house in NE Florida to my cousins house in Alabama, about 650 miles one way, on 1 1/2 tank of fuel! I have the stock tank on my 2005 GMC 2500 HD duramax, 193,542 miles. Only mod to engine is a S & B turbo intake. Stock size tires. Running 78-80 mph at 24-2500 rpm. I put 1 8oz bottle in each fill up. Average 19 mpg. Not bad, was averaging about 16-16 1/2 mpg.

My favorite is called the diesel injector clean all-in-one the great thing is all you do is just stick one bottle in you get the upper cylinder lubricant the cleaning effect on the Rings and other components inside the combustion chamber Valves and then you also have the bump and seatain for better power fuel mileage and then you have the anti-gel in there as well if I had a diesel truck I would run 160 oz bottle every fill up and two 16 oz bottles every 2,000 miles for a good clean up those.

I recommend using a heavy clean up dose every few thousand miles perhaps two or three 8 oz bottles on a full tank and then one 8 oz bottle has a maintaining dose and that's if you have a 20 gallon tank or less if you have a huge gas tank like 36 gallons then you definitely want to run the 16 oz bottles😃😉

Didn't know that every drop of fuel sold in the country was a bio blend. Guess I'd better call phillps and ask them why all my bills said #2 fuel oil less than 15 ppm sulfer. That 16 oz treats 20 gallons applies to bio blends because bean oil doesn't flow in cold Temps. Doesn't flow well when it's 100 degrees for that matter.

But if you honestly believe that oh lord it's going to be -5 next week better dump $8 a quart additive in my tank youre delusional at best and borderline moronic, and I'd say you're in the crowd of oh gosh it's single digits better dump straight number 1 in the tank.
After nearly 20 years of experience with diesel engines and diesel fuel working on them and hauling fuel I can tell you, the problem arises where you buy your fuel, not weather or not its treated. I can walk out to a sight glass with straight 2 in it that isn't cloudy on a 7 above night tonight. Again that fuel has sat in the same fuel bowl in the same injector pop tester in sunlight, and the elements for 17 months bought that fuel in July of 20 to pop test injectors, that's also the same fuel that's been in the tractor for nearly the same time and I guarantee it'll start without a fuel knock or low fuel pressure.
Again what do I know? I've just hauled it, studied it, worked with it ya know whole 9 yards but clearly power service the people selling the consumer shit they do not need, are gonna tell ya yep our stuff works they'll also tell you over treating isn't an issue, till they're about to lose a contract of about 20k gallons of product a year because the fleet has issues with gelling because drivers were over treating fuel.

That's a good question I don't know 100% for sure for sure because Vegas doesn't get that cold most likely it's the summer fuel.
But I do not know 100% for certain because I did not test both blends to know exactly the difference

Awesome and thanks for being a part of my TH-cam community.
I would recommend a bunch of things but a great place to get your toes wet if I personally owned your truck Is a Amsoil engine flush you would run one bottle of Amsoil engine flush for every 10 quarts of motor oil.
I also recommend the diesel injector clean plus C10 boost as a great cleanup that will clean your injectors your valves and carbon deposits inside your combustion chamber if you're running where it's really cold I would definitely run the diesel all in one which has the anti-gel additive and everything else the green bottle has.
Personally I would switch over to the 0W-40 max duty diesel signature series motor oil that would help a lot with your cold starts and your starter would last longer and you would draw less amps on the starts also you'd have quicker oil circulation which up to 80% of the wear can be during the cold start so that would really help your motor last longer.
If you have any other questions give me a call happy to go over everything with you before you order and since it's for your business I recommend your commercial account that would be my link right here and I would be your Amsoil dealer so I would get the credit for your orders and I would be able to help you with the products when you use my link 😊😃💯

    • @Syntheticoilprotection

Great question It works great on pretty much everything I've ever seen it used on It has a much higher foam strength It's 100% synthetic It is the first in synthetic and 1972 first synthetic transmission fluid first synthetic oil first synthetic gear loop.
You will be able to drive longer for oil change it'll say a few mileage and your engine will have exponentially less wear.
I highly recommend it and if you have any questions Adrian let me know please happy to talk with you This is my personal link It will give you the products at the best pricing and you use my link I'll be your Amsoil dealer so I'm future all your questions.
