Just ordered this exact spec - my 4 year lease on an EQC is coming to an end so this will be quite different (wife has an AWD Ariya). The Frunk has a creepy internal release button in case someone "accidentally" gets locked inside. The driver door, from other reviews, can be opened with a pin code (there's a touch keypad above the open button). Nice review, covers a lot.
If you don’t believe in a tyrant leader who is so controversial and hypocritical in many ways why support Tesla? The world has choices now, even if they are not as good, they will do the job to get humanity away from fossil fuels for transportation eventually.
Tesla M3 owner here looking to switch to this next. Love the color options. I will miss the tech but I like the build quality and happy they use Tesla chargers, even tho I charge at home 99X of the time. You get OTA updates right?
Thanks for the review. I'll be test driving a Mach-E as I decide which EV to go with at the end of the year, and the interior noise is a factor. I will be listening intently for the same whine and wind noise that you mentioned in your driving impressions. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 that I drove was very pleasantly quiet while driving and it was a pretty big plus to me.
Non heat pump works better when it gets below zero. It really isn't an issue. I've let the car sit in the driveway for an hour at 0° and it uses about 2% per hour
I think Ford really needs to do what they need to do to let people qualify for the rebate. You can get the 2024 M3 Performance right now and get the rebate. That’s a pretty huge selling point in favor of the Tesla
I'm trying to understand the market for this car. Its priced at $50k give or take while most other EV's in the segment go for thousands less, have similar or more HP, and a longer range. If they wan't to compete they're likely going to have to drop their prices further or change production on the Mach E so it qualifies for the tax rebates. Otherwise I expect most people to wither skip it or buy it slightly used for half the price they're asking.
A Premium Extended Battery eAWD is the same price as a Model Y Dual motor (non-Performance) just a bit lower hp but more torque and the range is 20km less. The quality tho? Mind blowing compared to that Tesla garbage.
Ford's navigation system is not worth a CR_P. I needed to go to the next city for a doctors appointment. I live very close to a main 4 lane highway. As it goes to my destination. It changes to a 4 lane divided highway. Then I exit it onto a 4 lane divided expressway. Finally I exit onto a 4 lane main road through the city. Last turn I am less than a mile from mu destination. Every quick. My return was to city 10 miles below I origin. My friend who live there. He told me a route to his house. I missed the route number to his place. I punched in his address into Ford's navigation. It showed his address. Hit tapped "GO". A blue line showed up on a route. I followed it through all the secondary streets and all the stop lights. Where did I end up. I was at the junction where I exited off the 4 lane divided onto the 4 lane divided expressway. From a simple express travel to a complicated city streets.

I got exactly the same car just with extended range very very nice car, much better than tesla

Im currently in the market for an EV. What made you choose the Mache over Tesla?

What about the fact de mach-e doesn't have a heat pump? In the winter is worth what?

MbMb is probably from Québec. There is it gets to -40°C during winter.

It's a really tight space for a spare and it comes with a free tire inflation kit
On the more unpleasant side of things, the lack of a conventional doorhandle might not be optimal in a car accident.
I would guess if the occupant can’t open from the inside, the glass can be broken and someone can reach in to pull the manual door release?
Yeah.
On that note, if the car is damaged THAT badly, a conventional exterior doorhandle might not work, in the first place.
Does it qualify for the 7500 off the taxes?
For purchase, at the current time, no, because of where the battery is sourced.
