"Blue & Grey" was majorly written and produced by Tae. It was supposed to be on his mixtape and was originally an english song but the members thought its beautiful and included it in the album. "Stay" is Jk's song and it was supposed to be on his mixtape which was also an english song initially and Tae suggested to the members about including the song in the album.
Imagine if Jungkook & Tae drops their mixtape at the same time

*This album is not meant to be hype like "on" or "dynamite", this is a piece of BTS exposing their fears and comforting us at the same time. The realistic message and the distorted home-made feel of the song is what they were going for. An album just for them to express themselves lyrically and by the means of self production. This is truly grammy material if only grammys werent considering language as a barrier. Usually kpop title tracks are hype, even bts does hype title tracks but this time the album does feel BTS-esque. It feels like "them for us" and "us for them*

@@rdlf.4834 it's originally a single which just got included in the tracklist. It's not really a part of "BE", I mean, of course kinda, but when we say Dynamite got a different vibe than "BE", you know what we mean.
Blue & grey hits different once you know that Tae wrote and produced it. I believe he talks about his sadness back in January when everybody was worried about him... This song is basically him telling what he went through and hopefully informing us that he's happier now, i love him, blue & grey deserves the world
"blue&grey" was supposed to be in taehyung's mixtape, and "stay" was supposed to be in jungkook's mixtape but they thought the songs fit this album
Taehyung’s falsetto in the last chorus of blue & grey goes rIGHT to my heart and hurts. Idk if you heard that the song was going to be on Taehyung’s mixtape. I literally couldn’t be more excited for his solo work

I would love to hear V sing all of "Blue & Grey" all by himself. He obviously wrote it before In the Soop because he sang it when he went out in the canoe by himself. It's my favorite so far!

Blue and Grey is a song written and produced by V which was originally in English for his mixtape. It's snippet was heard in In The soop episode where Taehyung was on Canoeing
But members liked it for album and so rapline wrote their parts and V changed lyrucs from English to Korean.

Fact: Taehyung is the main composer/songwriter of Blue and Gray. It wa supposed to be part of his mixtape but when bts heard the song he/they decided to include it to the album.. Originally it was in English so they changed it to korean. Sooo proud

During the press conference, Taehyung revealed he had suffered a burnout and the song was his way of healing himself. Sugar expressed in the past he had been battling depression when he was younger. That's why the lyrics feel so real. Even though this translation was bad, there are better ones online already. Love your reactions btw.

Tae wrote Blue & Grey for his mixtape when he was feeling really down about everything, it was previewed on the show BTS In The SOOP but it was re-written with Korean lyrics added and OT7 instead, with the rapline adding their verses.💙💜

it was supposed to be all in English, we got to hear a snippet of it in " in the soop" but the members liked it and he changed the lyrics to Korean - the singing part- and made alteration to fit the rap verses done by our rapline.
I can't even imagine having this fully in English with taehyung's soulful voice the whole song, we are already crying mess over it.

Taehyung not only wrote and produced the best song in the album for me, he also did MAGIC with his voice. The range he has but also the way he do things with his voice with so much ease. His low range but also his falsettos are extremely good.

Taehyung wrote, produced and composed Blue and Grey - (it's a masterpiece) I'm really proud of Taehyung's progression as a vocalist - because this album really confirmed to me that he is one of the strongest vocalists out there. Particularly in Blue & Grey and Fly To My Room. WOW, WOW, WOW. I love how he experimented with his vocal range in this album - he is very talented. BE is my favourite album btw, it's phenomenal.
