Where does Torque King source their NV5600 gears? In your (Long Range Gear's) experience, is there a particular gear maker(s) that is better than the others..and which ones should we stay away from? Thanks!
Answer from Long Range Gear... "@corsaircowboy6144 nobody makes gears domestically. The quality gears that we use are imported and sold by zumbrota, distributed down to guys like me and Torque King."
Hey, great review and kit. I have a question regarding the 6th gear included in this kit. Your Long Range Gear website mentions that you always install a new 6th gear with the engagement plate welded. Can you describe exactly who makes these and what the process is? Also, does the 6th gear in the Torque King kit include the welded engagement plate or not? If not, is that something that can be ordered from Long Range gear. It seems like a guy would want to put in the best possible option for the 6th gear...thanks.
I use the gears that Torque King supplies, that’s the only manufacturer of gears that I will use because the others are weaker and fail earlier. The additional welds to the engagement plates are something we do extra for our builds in house. I’d love to sell those but I’m already having a hard enough time keeping stocked for my own shelves…
@@longrangegear Thanks for the reply. I am definitely interested in your welding process, do you hit the full circumference or just a certain number of tacks around the base? How much (ballpark)percentage strength do you feel that the additional welding adds to the 6th gear?
@@longrangegear Also, any idea of where Torque King sources their gears or do they fabricate in house. I am interested in who the actual reputable makers are out there, thanks again
@@corsaircowboy6144 check out our instagram page @longrangegear, I’ve posted pictures of the finished product before. I can’t give any numbers on the strength added but were never spun one off.
