Those oval celery/ ice cram dishes are rarely offered lately. They are worth quite a bit of money...silver items are a rare find too.
I agree with your thinking they divie out parts of a collection to surrounding stores. Seems like I find 3 of six glasses at one store and 3 at another store!

Armoires often have had the back cut out for tv installs. So sad to see that! Loved that headboard and footboard. The nightstands were not so impressive. Hope that is one of the pieces you pick to take home. Your Aunt will be pleased and surprised with the newest addition to your perfume bottle collection. Be safe. Love playing Hand & Foot or Cr@p on your Neighbor when everyone gets together. Rummy, Canasta & Cribbage when it's just immediate fam. Still enjoy a family game night which often includes board games. Best part, no electronic devices allowed!

Hi Tonya, we have several consignment stores in my area. Lots of knickknacks and cool little lamps. If stuff isn't moving. It's marked down to Half Price. Sad to say I'm taking a little break from the thrift stores and it hurts so bad!! I'm going frugal for a little while and get my enjoyment through watching you💕XO see you soon.

I had to take a break too, lol. Frankly, I was having too much fun finding goodies. But I intend to get back to it maybe in the Spring. Life is too short to not do something that brings so much joy!!

I sold eagle bookends that were very similar to those you found for $85 on Facebook marketplace last year. Anything with eagles is really popular! Especially brass or cast iron! Amazing find!

Oh boy. I could use that tall jewelry cabinet. You're right; it was designed to hold a LOT of jewelry. At 9:34, the box of glass trays with little cups was a shock to see, as my grandmother had those. It's just amazing the things you find!! You are right about the Consignment place. The prices on many of the pieces you shared with us varied greatly.
I really should have picked up those cups and trays. You made me realize that they hold special memories for other people too. I might run back there to see if I still can! 🥰❤️❤️❤️

Ah, the lamp at 35:00 / 35:55 , been looking for similar, but green. 29 bucks is a steal. Would have ditched that shade tho! And I recently trashed picked a similar double decker round table that needs some love (as the one in the back room)

Then we drove up Auburn a little ways and discovered Amorini Antiques. Omg they had some beautiful pieces, but quite pricey. They had a bunch of exquisite antique perfume bottles and we thought of you. You should check them out sometime!

Gosh darn it then they led You to the shop of shops! Loved that huge Floral painting! Butterfly prints... think the walnut piece was reduced because someone moved the heavy candle holder thing across and scratched it ...wild piece though... oooOOo that Hall Tree/Hat stand divine!...... matching Mirrors way up high sighhhh...the cupboard with Gold Egyptian heads !! Awww, @ 9:31 I have a set of these dishes. My husband's grandmother gave them to me many years ago. I still set them on my hutch in my dining room. I love them. ❤
The curio cabinet is called a vitrine and someone has stripped it of its beautiful tufted fabric and the price they are asking is absurd.
I noticed that, but that's pretty typical around here, and they still go for twice that. This is exactly why I love to hear about other areas/states. It's so eye opening! 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I am an antique dealer currently without a store however I was taught that other than restoring a piece refinishing/painting/altering devalues an antique. I know it is a fad but when I did have an antique store I refused to sell anything to people who told me their intentions to do any of the things already stated!

Queen! The best find I’ve gotten was a whiskey decanter and matching highball glasses. I got the whole set for the cost of one glass. We looked it up and trust me it was a steal.

I have that same set of clear glass party plate and cups. It was hardly ever used. It was a wedding gift, so it is over 50 years old. Also have a Milk Glass set. I have never liked them!
