I find i get the best results with foundation sticks by swiping them on and then spraying my face with setting spray before blending it out. It helps the foundation melt into my skin and helps with the longevity. I was amazing how much it improved my results and the look when using this method. Sending everyone oodles of love.
That's amazing and makes total sense because the spray will thin out the product. Kind of like how using a damp sponge helped when I applied it that way because the water makes it thinner. I think the issue with foundation sticks is that they're too thick!
@@JenPhelps they are usually pretty thick. I love the ease of foundation sticks especially the ones by milk makeup and wet n wild. I’ve heard the hourglass foundation stick is AMAZING but ugh the price is crazy.
@@JenPhelps have you tried the Lancôme Teint Idole foundation stick? It’s AMAZING! So creamy and good coverage while being so light on the skin! Works great even with my dry skin. The Westman Atelier one is really good too but so expensive and I think I prefer Lancôme over it anyways. They’re both really creamy…like the stick just melts on the skin as applying it! And then I take a large but kind of dense brush and buff it in and it’s so quick and easy to buff in because it’s so creamy it just melts into the skin and then it feels like nothing on and doesn’t look heavy/cakey or dry. Normally I’d never buff with a brush when using a foundation stick because they tend to be thicker and drier and with that and my dry skin, using a brush and buffing will usually be a horrible result! But NOT at all with the Lancôme and WA sticks. I never am one to recommend more expensive products because there’s so many amazing ones at the drugstore but I’ve never found foundation sticks so creamy that just melt onto the skin as I swipe it on my face and then looks good and smooth on the skin (even buffing with a foundation brush) with good coverage while still feeling like nothing at all on the skin! I definitely recommend them both! But my first rec would be the Lancôme one.
I would love an entire video dedicated to the Double Wear. As the queen of dupes it would be cool to see how close to the Double Wear you can get with a less expensive product 😊
I just picked up the heimish bb cream!! I love it! I appreciate the gray tones and de-saturated undertones! As a pale olive neutral it's really hard to find a good match! K-beauty knocks it out of the park for us pasty green girls 😂😊
Excellent video!!! Thanks so much for going to all the effort to include so much b-roll video. I’m sure that’s tons of work to find and include so many product clips but we really appreciate it. Your videos are so comprehensive and informative. ❤❤❤
Jen, I just can’t say thank you enough! All the hard work you do for your subscribers the thousands of dollars you’ve saved me and I know you’ve saved many others! Anyways, just wanted to say thank you. God bless you for all your hard work and effort I’ve been a subscriber since 2017 and I don’t think I’m leaving your channel yet so I appreciate you thank you much.
The Elf Woah Glow sunscreen broke me out, as many American sunscreens tend to do. I have much better luck with Korean and Japanese spfs, so for me they are definitely worth a few extra dollars.
I bought the alter ego coastal palette a couple weeks ago based on your recommendation, and I’m enjoying playing around with it. I also grabbed the midsummer palette since it was on sale. I like that one, too. Both have nice blendable formulas. But your doll10 squad 2.0 rec is still my favorite go-to! ❤️
Love the k-beauty product recommendations. I have been very pleased with the k-beauty products I’ve tried, good prices, good for dry and sensitive skin. Would love more recommendations, especially since most of it has to be ordered online. Thanks for another great video.😊
You totally convinced me to try the Moira palette and powder foundation! Of course I also threw in the new lip oil and a few duochrome liners as well! Thanks for the review, link and code! 🥰❤️
I've been decluttering my makeup collection (making room for new products) 🤣 on top of my wishlist definitely Moira and Doll 10, their products look amazing!... Jen, your videos are sooo helpful, thank you so much! your hard work doesn't go unnoticed 🤗 ... hugzzz 💜
Love that you liked Kiko blush! I love that it stays on my skin all day (I have a disappearing blush problem 😄). I also tried a lot of their powder products and they stay all day and don't disappear. Also their packaging (usually only in collections) is lovely.
love your summery look in this video 🥰 i’ve been loving the new essence cream blush sticks lately ☺️ also didn’t enjoy the greasy feel of the catrice blush sticks either. sad, since catrice does make excellent powder blushes like the air blush ones, as you mentioned ✨
Hi Jen!!! I am Really enjoying the Ulta cream shadows. They went away for repackaging for a bit, but are back. Just love these for a quick low key shadow day. No creasing and stays all day. Have a great week.
Hi Jen! There’s currently a 50% off coupon on Amazon for the Heimish bb cream. Not sure how long it’s good for though. Ordered mine for about $12 after taxes.
Totally agree on the new bare minerals. All are way too bronze/warm. That jones road bronzer looks great. Still really like the merit cream bronzer in clay.
Jenn - can you do an updated all time favorite long wear products (for summer months)? I'm about to work outside for the majority of the summer but need longwear makeup advice! Thank you!
I did one a few months ago actually! 🥰 It's missing a few newer things but I'll have to do an updated one soon. th-cam.com/video/SLC-amJXDQ4/w-d-xo.html
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I love the longer vids and I love faves and fails vids. Needless to say, I'm really very happy with THIS vid 😊😊 I don't know why but the eyeshadow sticks by Sephora haven't made their way over to the UK ☹️. Also, I don't know why I can't (now) order from Sephora USA - I mean, we have Sephora here now so why don't they just offer international shipping 🤷♀️. Sometimes, life doesn't make sense at all 😂 Love you 💚💙💚💙💚
Your hair looks so great! You look really healthy with your beautiful shiny hair and summery makeup. Thanks for another video! I have similar coloring so I really appreciate your opinions and help finding cool tones for fair skin.
Ooh I just did a video like this for my channel last week haha excited to see what your picks are, a lot of mine are from UK brands so they’ll be quite different! You look so radiant today Jen I love that top!xx
Just got a chance to watch. I am in LOVE with Moira! I got the contour, the powder foundation, and the waterproof powder. I will be buying more for sure!!!
Great roundup! I fell hard for the Sephora matte lip balms you reviewed awhile back, so of course they immediately discontinued them! Hoping to find that cushiony matte-ish smoothing formula again I can wear all the time. Thanks for this in depth review!
They pulled them from shelves in Canada right after the last Sephora sale and wouldn’t give an explanation why (although they weren’t “recalled”, so I suppose that’s good). I’m glad I picked up a couple before they disappeared cause I prefer theirs to the Nars matte balm.
Jen… I can’t even tell you how many amazing products I’ve purchased over the years from watching your videos! (And I have quite the collection) I just placed my order for the Hemish BB Cream… which btw is 50% off right now- only $11.00 🎉 I can’t wait for it to arrive because I know I’ll love it! Thank you so much for everything you do! 🤍
You didn’t mention the hard candy shadow sticks , I thought you tried those. Great video , I always look forward to watching your videos the longer the better! 😊❤
I mentioned those in the last version of this video I did a few months ago, since I tried them at the beginning of the year. :) th-cam.com/video/wnsKbgwnFLk/w-d-xo.html
Hey Jen. Great video! Thanks! Also, I was hoping to see how Essence pure nude blushes would rank in your blush collections, especially compared to the new Catrice airblushes.
I envy you that your skin doesn't break out with certain ingredients. I have to avoid mica, talc and others commonly used in foundations. I can really only wear cotz tinted primer which is very light coverage
Always enjoy your videos..also appreciate as a combo skin type you share about what you think as a dry skin and recommend others for different skin types..LOVING your look today...I know you prefer cool tone on you..however this warm look on you is really beautiful! TS!!
re: the CT vs the elf blushes. What I saw was that the undertones seem different. The CT one, at least to me as a viewer, looked like it had more of a yellow undertone, whereas the elf blush has more of a peach/cool tone undertone. The elf one for sure suits you more. But always interesting to see a blush sheered out to see the undertone.
The CT one looks yellow because of the gold glitter...my lights were picking it up a lot. But in that video I swatched them together on my arm and blended them out and they looked so close!
Just ordered the Heimish bb cream and looking forward to trying it. I already have the jones road bronzer in dusty rose and I am really enjoying it. It’s nice change for a bronzer!
Thank you Jen, great timing with that Hemish foundation and getting it for half the price, heck at $11 if the color doesn’t work for me I didn’t spend a lot.😂😂. Love your look today, you look stunning.💖
About elf glow stick you are right ,they are sheer and don’t stay all day on the cheek,I am using the elf pot blush and add the elf glow stick on the top and I like the look
Can you show us how to use the Sephora eye shadow sticks to do some easy looks? What about a video about your favorite inexpensive products(and colors)? Like NYX, Hard Candy, Wet n wild, Makeup Revolution, etc by brand instead of product? Just an idea.
I shared a look with the Sephora crayons in this video: th-cam.com/video/oVnRbtzlC7M/w-d-xo.html and another look in this video : th-cam.com/video/LG2v7OhO-Jw/w-d-xo.html. I only have a few colors so those are the only looks I do at the moment. I also have some videos like you mentioned "best products by brand"...I have one on Revlon and one on Maybelline but I'm planning to continue the series! I was thinking of doing NYX or L'oreal next. :) Here's the Revlon one: th-cam.com/video/7chpT3go1PQ/w-d-xo.html And Maybelline: th-cam.com/video/RVZx43PLvjY/w-d-xo.html
I hated that L'oreal Nude Match foundation, too. I use the Maybelline Fit Me stick foundation for covering smoker's lip lines. I don't think you Jen would like it much due to your dry skin, but you ought to try it (NOBODY talks about it!). I'm also going to try Moira and Doll 10. Emily Noel is a huge Doll 10 fan. That Kiko blush is STUNNING. Will be buying here shortly. What is the name of the shade? I don't see the pink on Amazon. Bare Minerals blonzer- I got one when they first came out, and I was disappointed, too. I also found the shade too warm for my skin tone. I forget the name of the shade I have. I bought the Jones Road bronzer, too. You are right- very unique color and no dupe out there for it. I like it, but prefer my Saie cream sunmelt bronzer. Jen you are quickly becoming my fave beauty guru. Love ya;! Almost forgot- what are the eyeshadow and nail polish you're wearing? Beautiful! Sigma having sale now. 30% off code thankful
Your eyebrows look amazing in this video! They look more even and your makeup eye color looks perfect on you. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching you.
Yes! I love the new Walmart hair products! Today I actually curled my hair toward my face instead of away from it. I haven't done this in years but I like it! I got the inspo from @kellygooch!
Hello pretty Jen. I always enjoy your video and especially the big video 😊. I will buy the eyeshadows sticks from Sephora 😊. The orange eyeshadows are suit you 😊. Love from Greece ❤️🙂.
Most of the liquid Colourpop eyeshadow applications ive watched, they do one eye at a time, work fast to get it blended out as it will set....i think you have to be confident, know exactly what your look is going to be so you can get it blended straight away.
I was interested in the Too Faced Italian Spritz but now, it kinda looks like it'll just be another 18 shades of ash, just like the Sweet Peach palette was for me. I don't even think it'll be worth me getting it on sale or on clearance at TJ Maxx, as that would be the only way I'd purchase it.
Hey! Just something that I kept thinking of - can you pls make a distinction on whether the products are glowy or full of mica? I feel like there’s a difference
Once again an amazing video. You work so hard (but making it seem like a breeze) you give us great content and I always watch the whole video, contrary to most content creators that I like but I usually don’t make it through all of theirs.
I used to LOVE Estee Lauder Double wear, but then I tried the Estee Lauder Futurist foundation and it’s even better. Very good for dry skin, and just melts into the skin even better than the double wear. If you’re running out of DW give Futurist a try :)
I love this video of course my favorite category was the eye shadow palette, one thing that I got not long ago on Amazon is the cover girl lipsticks they come in many colors and finishes some are so creamy and long lasting but no one ever talks about them I think I’m the only one that really likes them🤷🏼♀️ I like them so much I think I have 10 of them. I also love the revlon lipsticks too.
Hi Jen, thanks for a wonder ful video. I enjoyed it very much and I love Moira and Doll 10 products and you introduced me to both of them. I appreciate all the time you spend helping us save money and getting the right products for our skin situations. ❤💗🌸🌺🌸💐
That orange makes your blue eyes pop! It’s my favorite color for blue eyes.
I totally agree with you 😊.
Once I finish my no buy jail sentence, I would like to try Moira and Doll 1 products, because of you. 💕
No buy jail sentence...😂😂😂
I use Doll 10 in Light shade. Love it. It's also a skin treatment. On my 2nd tube.
How much longer do you have 😅
I'm in the same jail 😂😂 😢😮🥺😳🤯
Hey, cellmate! 😅

I would love to see brand-specific ranking videos for the brands that can only be purchased online, like Catrice, please.
Same!!!
second this!
Loved this. I'm sure that it was time consuming so I wanted you to know that I truly appreciate it.

Jen you look so cute! Love the hair and the orange lip gloss!
Absolutely love the orange/peach eye look today! So pretty!
I just found out last week that double wear isn’t a matte finish. I avoided it for years because I thought it was. Can’t wait to try
Good stuff. You can buy it at Ulta Beauty.
Comprehensive and clearly presented!
What a thorough video! If someone is in the market for new makeup, this is THE video!

The Jones Road rosy bronze bronzer is perfection. The most natural looking bronzer I’ve ever tried! It looks like my skin after some Sun.

I used to LOVE Estee Lauder Double wear, but then I tried the Estee Lauder Futurist foundation and it’s even better. Very good for dry skin, and just melts into the skin even better than the double wear. If you’re running out of DW give Futurist a try :)
I love Futurist too! 🥰
I love your hair, Jen!! ❤
Thank you so much!
Can't wait to see your recs!! 🎉💯🙌
I love blush!
Have you tried KIKO’s eyeshadow sticks? How would those compare?
No I haven't but I keep hearing that they're awesome!
Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown both make great shadow sticks in the high end price range.
Try the Kiko eyesticks...tha besss!
Great video. I love your look today ❤
Do you like the ELF O-Face lipsticks? I love them!! They go on so smooth and leave a beautiful stain ❤
Yes those are awesome and a great dupe for Nars Audacious lipsticks!
Jen , do you think you can do a hair tutorial from your profile picture ? Please ?
Hi Jen, thanks for a wonder ful video. I enjoyed it very much and I love Moira and Doll 10 products and you introduced me to both of them. I appreciate all the time you spend helping us save money and getting the right products for our skin situations. ❤💗🌸🌺🌸💐
I love the NYX phat lip oils too 😍😍😍
