    I have the upgraded Amazon and I like it because the install is simple and the tray is deeper than BoostAuto , for me I always go offroading in the weekends ,
    Also I love the organize tray it's cool to have an extra charging spot

    Great video. I prefer the Amazon version because it was true plug and play and did not require any drilling or modifications to the arm rest. It also has a deeper pocket to keep your phone from sliding off when going into a turn or just stopping at a light. The blue light is a nice touch. No need to turn anything on or off. The wiring harness connects to the usb wiring which also shuts off when you turn off the engine. A great safety feature. Don’t like the idea of keeping things live when engine is off especially in hot days. Thanks for sharing

    I was completely disappointed in my Amazon charger, it stopped working after being installed for a year……. It was definitely not worth the money……I just purchased the Boost Auto charger and will be installing it this weekend, hopefully I have much better luck with it than the Amazon charger

    I like the Boost Auto one better because it looks factory and nicer plus cost less. Already have a tray and if I am going to have to plug it in to rear I might as well plug my phone in. Plus one worth the tray I prefer my phone where I can get to it easy instead of raising my console lid. Price is good though. Thanks for product video and install video.

    I know this video is a year old but I just installed the Boost Auto charger in my 2022 2500 Silverado with the 40/20/40 seats and really like how it turned out. It looks very factory looking like you said. That’s why I ultimately went with it.

      Will the boost auto one fit a pixel 7 pro with a case? Does your phone ever fall off the boost auto while driving?

      @@DrunknOdin not sure about your phone. I have an iPhone 12 with an Otterbox. It fits fine and doesn’t fall.
      My wife has an iPhone 15+ with an Otterbox and it fits too.

    Would like the Boost to be a little deeper. I just got my truck and like how the stock tray is deep enough where my phone doesn't "stick up" higher than the top of the console. Wonder if Boost has or will come out with a deeper tray.

    Thanks for the video. This was a great upgrade for my vehicle. I went with the Boost product. Happy with the install. Removing the trim without breaking it is a bit fiddly but entirely doable with patience.

    Thanks for the videos. Unfortunately I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trail Boss z71 with no wireless charging and no backseat outlet. I recently swapped the NO storage jump (center front) seat with a 2-part storage seat. It does have wired CarPlay. What’s the best solution to get wireless CarPlay and wireless charging?

    I just got the boost auto and I was able to install it with out drilling the 2nd hole. I was able to run the wire down by the hinge and works perfect and still looks factory since no hole is drilled and can be reversible if need be

    Thanks for the video. I really like the Boost Auto device for aesthetics, but the potential for heat build up, especially in the summer time, concerns me. The OEM wireless charging pad in the center console actually has an A/C vent under it to keep your phone cool when it's charging in the summer time. For that reason I'm going to keep using it. I may install the Boost Auto device in the future for my wife's phone, but it won't be my primary charger.

    • @boostautoparts
      @boostautoparts 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Our chargers do have a temperature sensor built in, so even in the event of a very hot summer day the charger will not damage the phone by generating excessive heat as it will throttle itself. We have not had issues with this even in hot summer months once the vehicle gets moving and either AC or windows open the charger works great.
      That being said, any charger that isn't ducted with AC could get warm in the hot summer sun so your concern is valid - but unfortunately the only solution to that would be to duct AC to it like GM did from the factory.

    Did you run into any issues with charging your phone with a case on I read a lot of comments that say it won't charge with a case on phone especially an otter defender which is what I have.....also I have the s22 ultra and it doesn't fit in the stock spot currently so I'm assuming it won't fit at all anyway. Thanks for your help and great video!!!!!

    • @TruckOwnership101

      Boost Auto is still working great for me. Fits my wife’s pro max in a case. We don’t have the big otter boxes though so I can’t speak on that.

      I just installed the Boost Auto one in my truck today (center jump seat version) and I have an iPhone 12 with an Otterbox Defender XT MagSafe case and it will charge my phone. It is a little sensitive to where it needs to set to charge but it does charge it. I took about a 30 minute round trip on curvy roads to just see if it would move and it stayed put and charged the entire time.

    • @TruckOwnership101
      @TruckOwnership101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The boost auto parts and amazon top lid chargers have a special two pin connectors that go into the t of the harnesses, not a 12 volt or usb unfortunately.
