I just uploaded a video updating how valve covers are doing. So far I don't see any leaks coming from the Spark plug tube. I pulled one of the coils and it was completely dry and no oil was in the tubes.
Did you use the provided valve cover gaskets or got the oem gaskets ? Thinking of getting the aluminum valve covers but with the oem valve covers since I heard the ones they provide you don’t work as well as oem
Yes I did use the ones provided that came with the kit. I haven't had any problems out of yet. Not one leak. The OEM valve covers that I use to get. Didn't last that long for me.
They've been doing good.I am going to check one of the spark plugs to see if there's any oil in there pretty soon, just to see how the seals are doing.
Thanks, I think they do look very good in the engine Bay. These spark plug seals are serviceable. The baffle unbolts, and you can take out each spark plug seals and put new ones in. Then, just reinstall the baffle. You can not do that on the O.E.M valve covers.
@@arthurstember6572 I believe this is what you're referring to conceptzperformance.com/czp-replacement-spark-plug-tube-seal-for-czp-aluminum-valve-covers-vq35de-czp-13264-am600-rspts_p_75266.php
I have not had a chance to take out the spark plugs to see if there's any oil inside the spark plug tubes. there doesn't seem to be any oil leaking from around the sides. The car is running good so as far as I can tell, they're holding up pretty well.
@noahstrickland1200 they have been doing good. I thought I noticed some oil on the side of where the dipstick goes in, but I need to wipe it off and then see if it comes back. For the most part , I have no complaints with them.
Yes, I did get my car tuned for the cams and all my other modifications after they were installed. I do love the idle of my car once it's warmed up.If you put cams on your car, they should work just fine with the stock block and a tune. But if you wanna rev the car to 7000 rpm, I would definitely get a rev up oil pump installed.I would not Rev the car pass 7000 rpm on stock rods.
I will be keeping an eye on them as far as their integrity and longevity. The last factory valve covers I had didn't last too long. I don't know if I actually got a whole year out of them before they started leaking. So far, I haven't had any problems and no leaks with these aluminum valve covers. They've been holding up pretty well.
10 month update?

Has anyone found a source for the "serviceable" sparkplug tube gaskets??? BTW they look great. About to get some myself. Will use Felpro gaskets.

@@arockbr3925 What is the source of these seals??? No one seems to know

These are not as good as the factory ones in the long run
