I’ve been currently learning this and have been loving this rendition of the sonata by Zuckerman!
A Celestial sound, both musicians have revived M. Brahms magically by the color of their harmonious play and performance. Excelsior!!! Zukerman…
Marc Neikrug is a Great match for Zukerman I Love Marcs strong piano Playing and I Love his banging on the Piano it sounds Great with a Good Viola Sound

Despite the poor balance on recording, Zukerman's radiant sound shines through. His devotion to the score, his control of micro-timing. Beautiful complicity with Neikrug as always. Their overall shaping of each movement and the entire work is exquisite--beautifully sculpted. Would love to know which hall this was in.

The Violist is of course excellent. But wouldn’t you think that the camera would be on the soloist more than the pianist. It’s a fine pianist but I got tired of looking at his hands and I couldn’t see the violist hands.
Pinchas is perfection as usual. 😍 However, the pianist sometimes assaults the piano and blows out my headphones...not a fan of his.

I wonder if it's a fault during the actual recording or it happened during the the upload, somehow.
In my opinion the piano sounds great, the problem is that the viola sounds like is playing in a different room, far away, a pity

Хотя пианист чувствует и владеет мастерски фактурой,но порой слишком солирует,особенно в форте.
Послушала еще раз и меняю мнение. Именно благодаря пианисту Брамс встает во весь рост. Мне нравятся и темпы,и выпуклость всей фактуры. Альт прекрасен в руках Цуккермана.
Браво!
