    I did this and it only helped a tiny bit. I had to come back on here to post what completely fixed this problem for me. I simply switched dishwasher detergents. The manufacturer recommends Finish gel liquid but I switched to Cascade tabs and presto! I never seen the dishes so clean!! I hope this works for you all. It might just be your soap!!

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It could just be hard water. One way to test for that is to soak one of your cloudy glasses in vinegar for five minutes. If the cloudy deposits are removed, then hard water likely is your problem. Or you can try rinse aid.

      This answer might be a little bit late, but you really shouldn't pre-rinse your dishes, because dishwashing detergent needs some soil to actvate and work properly. Try running your dishwasher on a hot, no prewash cycle with some citric acid (about 100 grams) and use your dishwasher simply removing solid debris from dishes with a fork and no water. This should hopefully solve your problem. Also, use good quality detergent (avoid liquid and prefer tablets or powder) as well as rinse aid

    I enjoyed your video, thank you for it. The issue I have with my Frigidaire ultra quiet dishwasher is that the left side of the upper rack systematically de-rails. I have to remove the stopper and re-rail the rack. I have tried to make sure the weight on the rack is even and so on but I don’t seem to make any progress in view of a solution. Any recommendations?

    • @fixitFlip

      Has the track been stretched out some over time? Seems like the only way it could pop out if there is if it has been opened up some. Maybe you could pinch it back together some with pliers.

    My parents were unaware a dishwasher needed to be maintained. I just cleaned their Frigidaire after 14 years of no maintenance. Sludge was everywhere. The high temp setting does not work very well not does it dry the dishes very well anymore, and we have to reset the breaker every time we want to use it. Any idea on how to fix those things?

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bet that was not a pretty sight after 14 years. If resetting the circuit breaker is making the dishwasher work again, that means your control board is probably starting to fail. It is resetting an error code like restarting a computer. It might need a new control board soon or if it was me I would probably replace the dishwasher. Control boards are expensive.

    My Frigidaire is less than 2 years old but it has never:
    1. 'Not' left a film on our dishes. I've changed detergents. All were a 'pak' type. Using 1 pack or 2 makes no difference. Length of wash makes no difference. AND neither Rinse-Aid or white vinegar takes off the film OR removes the 'perfumy' detergent smell you get when you open the door right after a cycle. 2. It doesn't dry very well either. Except for flat items like plates, the rest must have the standing water dumped from them and then laid out in a drainer or on a towel on the counter to finish drying.
    My son has the exact same model and exactly the same issues. We've cleaned the filters.... done everything we know of to do. Anyone have suggestions? Although I'll probably have replaced it by the time I see your response...lol. Thanks
