That’s nice having a bookclub with your mom! I read fantasy and she reads sci-fi, so we usually suggest books to one another that the other is never reading 😂

The only time I intentionally got mismatched books in a set was when I had the Harry Potter series where each was a different edition. Otherwise it would bother me.
