I read 4 books this year: Saint Fernando III: A Kingdom for Christ by James Fitzhenry The Dialogue of St. Catherine of Siena by St. Catherine of Siena Virgin, Mother, Queen by Robert Fastiggi and Michael O'Neill Story of a Soul by St. Therese of Lisieux (currently rereading it)
I’m definitively doing this tag in the comments, hoping that more people will do it as well! 1. What was your favorite book this year? The life of Elves (M.Barbery), The house by the cerulean sea (TJ Klune), the other valley (S.A. Howard) 2. What was the best new released book you read this year? The spellshop (loved it since the moment I heard Tiffany recommending it on this channel) 3. What was your favorite new to you author this year? Silvia Moreno-Garcia 4. How many books did you DNF this year? One: the stranger by Albert Camus (I’ve been hating this book since high school) 5. How many new physical books did you buy or acquire this year? Too many to have an accurate number 😅 6. Did you have any re-reads this year? Were they as good as you remembered? YAAAS, I’ve been re-reading the Inheritance cycle and I’ve discovered how good it actually was! 7. What book will you end the year on? The lord of the rings (the trilogy) 8. What are a couple of your most anticipated book releases for next year? Anything the italian publishing house “Mercurio” will piblish, actually 😊 the whole selection is sooo good 9. Have you started making reading plans for next year? Not yet, but at least I’d like to check the last two checkboxes from last year resolutions
@ yes! It was most definitively a good year of reading! The one that I would recommend the most would be “the other valley” because it’s a wonderful low sci-fi (like there’s low vs high fantasy I suppose we should also have low sci-fi as a sub-genre)
Here's my picks Tales of the body thief by Anne rice book 4 in the vampire chronicles Clytemnestra by constanza casanti Miss memory lane by colton Haynes memoir This could be us by Kennedy Ryan Queen of the damned by Anne rice book 3 in the vampire chronicles The maid by nita prose The violence by delilah s dawson this book took me by surprise Stars in your eyes by kacen callender Her too by bonnie kistler Out of shape by gracie gold memoir Good luck with that by kristan Higgins Lizzie Blake's best mistake by mazey eddings

That looks like a lot of self growth type of books, so good job! Gotta mix in some more fantasy this year too!
30+ books! I’m lucky to read 4 or 5 in year! Lol. 😂
It’s my favorite hobby!

Good answers! I especially love that you had a good reread this year. I also definitely enjoyed my last read of The Inheritance Cycle.

@ I would agree with that. The scope of sci-fi can vary just as widely as fantasy.
