This is my uncle! He really is great! He still has this room in his basement, and sometimes when he lets me visit, I get to play some piano with his synths! I also play piano and he is my inspiration!

I remember first watching his video when this was not even a year old. I still see my self coming back to these classics and I always mention Ronald to other people that can appreciate his talent. I love his sound and I am a throwback kind of guy, and tunes like this remind me of those old school NES days with the sweetest background music. I have the song for this on my phone but when I listen to it it's not the same as watching him play it. When I watch him, it makes me feel so happy because of how happily he plays his music. There are a lot of talented musicians out there, but I love Ronald the most because him playing the piano just makes me smile. 12 years later and this humble indie game's soundtrack is still embedded deep in my soul and kicking up at random times, and I love it every time. Tracks like yours elevate a game from good to unforgettable. Just like Shatter, and more recently Helltaker.
Sequence came out after this song, and they just had Ronald Jenkees' permission for use (and i think maybe one or two new songs for the game? i forget)
As an additional note, Sequence is called Before The Echo now (there was a trademark dispute of some kind). That's just how I found out about this legendary music man, didn't mean to imply it was composed for that game. Glad I followed the trail for that game's music, that's for sure. No wonder the tracks sound so good when the musician's having so much fun making them!
Before the Echo, formerly Sequence, uses Jenkees' tracks: Derty, Loui, Throwing Fire, Stay Crunchy, Outer Space, Guitar Sound and probably others I can't remember as songs for the rhythm aspect of the game. The other game by Iridium Studios(?), "There Came An Echo" also employed Jenkees' fantastic talent to compose tracks for the game. Incidentally I have this as my ringtone.
Here's what i love about this kid. Getting in my friends car in winter 2010, we just blazed up and were on our way to our other friend's house for a new years party. It was a blue moon. Psychedelics were had that night, and this music is intertwined with my memories still after all these years. Just the other night I see that same friend, picking me up in his car to go chill with our other old friends from those many years ago. He plays this music and the memories come flooding back like a raging torrent. Still listening to these tunes, still kicking it with my day ones, and keeping with what's golden.
