Thank you! Much appreciated 😎👌
Love this content man ❤
Thank you brother 🙏
Very informative bro! Love it 🤝🏽💫
I appreciate that bro, thank you! 👊🏼👊🏼
great informative video with some good advice ..
but the mt10 manual states these bikes should run 10/40 fully synthetic
is there a specific reason you opted to run motul 5000 over say 7100 or 300v
Thank you mate.
To answer your question, the manual will recommend a certain oil type but doesn’t mean you can’t use another oil. For example, Yamaha will recommend their own oil, Yamalube. But it is by far the worst oil in my opinion.
However, this oil choice was down to the owner’s preference.
I had Scott Oiler on my bike for 5yrs. Neva did it mess up my bike with oil. You just gotta set up the flow right.
Hi. Nice vid, well explained, to the point, and full of practical info. Any chance of posting detailed maintenance service on a gen 3 mt 09?
Thanks.
@@ahmadmajed8753 Thank you mate! 👊 Yess, will add this to the list. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great work 👌
Thank you brother 👊🏼
Great vid. You’re a natural.
How come you went from a Yamaha filter to a HiFlo?
Thank you for your comment! 👊🏼 There is no difference with the two filters, other than the customer saving money.
Awesome advice
Thank you for the comment 👊🏼
You have a special joint for the ratchet to remove the sparkplugs? is there a special trick to remove the ignition coils, because there are very tight fit
Hi, thank you for your comment.
Yes, you can normally twist them to release the friction or worst case, you can carefully and slowly pry them out.
Hope this helps! 👊👊

Very good idea! Noted, thanks bro 👊🏼
When you check the oil useing a rear paddock stand don’t it make the bike. Go up so the reading of the oil could be different
Thank you for your comment. To answer your question; with a good branded paddock stand, the bike should be raised to a minimal. Therefore, the oil level will not be affected.
You can see in the video that the engine is still very straight.
Hope this helps! 👊🏼
I can see from your video yes mate. Just I had 2006 Yamaha r1 over filled it and it was on rear paddock stand. Got R1M now I do have front and rear stand, thanks for getting bk to me
@@John-hc2pk No problem mate, good luck. Lovely bike 😎👌
I took mine to a Yamaha dealer for an oil change and they put in the ap non synthetic, is this something I should be worried about or is it fine to ride around until the next oil change?
Hi mate. Just to confirm, is 'AP' the brand of oil, as I haven't heard of this type? However, the recommended oil is fully synthetic (depending on the oil obviously). But you can also use semi-synthetic too. Hope this helps!
@@RyansMotorsportCentre it’s the yamalube all purpose, non synthetic, I know the recommended is full synthetic, but the Yamaha dealer put in non synthetic
@@mikestackz854 Dealerships will always run things a bit differently as they conform to their brand’s specifications. Prices and your location could also matter here. I would just confirm with your dealership about the oil they use. Although semi-synthetic/ synthetic oil will always be better for your engine, I don’t think you should be worried!
@@RyansMotorsportCentre yeah I’ll change it soon i just wanted to make sure I’m alright to put on some miles maybe 1000 or so with non synthetic
can i use this oil in a 2017 mt10 or do i need fully synthetic for that year thanks
Hi mate.
Yes, you can use the oil I use, Motul SAE 5000 10W-40 (semi-synthetic). Or, if you want to spend a bit more to gain better performance, you can use the Motul 300V. Hope this helps!
@RyansMotorsportCentre cheers buddy much appreciated on the fast response just got me a mt10 so new subscriber from me thanks again 👍
@@DALEOVDARLO1 Thank you brother, much appreciated 👊👊
What is the name/kind of spray you used under the tank and for the filter housing?
I am using GT85! 👊
nice chain. my are geting some rust, i put lube in hand and massage it all over. Gold-plated chain next time!
Good video!
Thank you mate! Yes. Clean chain, longer life! 😎🙌🙌
As a motorcycle mechanic this hurts to watch, please dude cover you're intake stacks when blowing stuff around it. Rookie error.
Hi mate, we appreciate everyone has opinions here and thanks for your input. However, this isn’t a rookie mistake… As you can see in the video, the intakes were fully shut and everything was cleaned prior to drying. 👊👊
@RyansMotorsportCentre it's just an added security and good practice, I can see the valves are shut but it does not mean that the dirt and debris can't enter.
Could hear you better without the music !
Noted! 👊👊🫡
