The low honour Scene After the death of Sean is intresting as With high Honour he talks about him being a brother bit with low honour he cares more for the gold. On another note you can catch the kid you should check put the alternative cutscene on youtube.
This don't feel right... RIP Sean, you lovable crazy maniac, I hope the outlaw heaven is as nice as Connemara for you. (God, seeing Sean being eaten by crows was horrible. Low honour play is really dark.)
Dutch doubts himself far too much to be a narcissist. I lean towards the brain injury messing him up along with his delusions of grandeur, possible Childhood trauma and his trolley crash brain injury.
I don't see Dutch as a narcissist either. A narcissist would not apologize or say that his actions had caused things to go wrong. If you are interested in a psychological take on this game, one of the more interesting playthroughs I've seen is on Dr. Mick's YT channel. He's is a licensed family therapist goes into a lot depth on the characters and dialogue on the games he plays. He had a lot to say about Dutch in his playthroughs, and Micah, and of course Arthur, and it was all very interesting.
DrMick is a therapist on youtube (and streams on twitch) who analyzes video games as he goes through them. He's even done a RDR2 playthrough that I highly recommend watching. His take on the gang is very interesting!!
I was up until almost 3am watching some of his playthrough after reading this comment. You're right - his take on everything is so interesting! Thank you for the recommendation, he pointed things out about the characters and gang dynamic that I'd never realised even after all these hours playing the game.
@@JoJoRawr No problem, just glad I could put you onto his stuff ☺ when I first found him I did the same thing lol couldn't get enough of his view on the gang (especially towards the middle and end of the game when things go wrong). But yeah, he made me realize a lot about the characters (and their relationship dynamics) that even I didnt notice after a few playthroughs. Goes to show you how well written and what a masterpiece the game really is! Hope you enjoy the rest of his series 😊 (once you play some of the other games he has on his channell I would recommend watching his other playthroughs as well, they are just as interesting and great imo)
Wait, so you didn’t realise that was Trelawny until editing ? Trelawny’s wife n kids. Arthur can overhear quite a bit there and I think Trelawny addresses it either automatically or triggered when Arthur gets close enough to the correct door. But then Trelawny will also address it later in camp.
I also do not Think Dutch is a narcissist I think he has the traits but its more so that Dutch wants to win against the government. he is a fascinating chracter.
I am not an expert either. However, my perception is that narcissism is a bit of an overused term in our time, frankly. It is very popular. And it often seems like people with a very rudimentary understanding of it apply the lable "narcissist/narcissism" to every single person/behavior they don't approve of. I agree with you tthat this lable doesn't seem to fit Dutch, certainly not fully and not at this stage of the game. At times he does behave narcissistically, sure, but show me one person who never does...
Yeah I totally agree that the term narcissist seems overused. I think Dutch definitely loves attention and has a high sense of self-importance, but I don't think he checks enough boxes to be likely to have a narcissistic personality disorder specifically. But I definitely feel like there's something non-typical going on with him psychologically. Maybe he's just an egotistic and ambitious guy and then the trolly incident warped his perspective and judgement, or maybe he has some other disorder or something going on. He's such a fascinating and complex character, it's almost hard to believe he isn't real! 😄
Yes.. the cutscene after Seans death is the low honor cutscene… many cutscenes and dialogue are different in low honor playthrough ..

If Dutch was truly altruistic, he could have saved the entire gang by accepting Milton’s offer to turn himself in for their freedom.

Dutch said, “ask around about Bronte, subtly of course”
Yeah, so subtle.

There is therapist who has done videos on RDR2 But as of yet she has not gone deep inro Dutch as a chracter.
