    I'm enjoying this series on the LM386 opamps. Got some myself and am experimenting to see what sounds best. Definitely going to try this out. One thing I'd love to see in your future videos if possible is if you could put a circuit diagram alongside your footage. Would be really helpful for showing exactly what you're putting together so people like me could replicate your experiments more easily.

    Those diodes are wired in coring arrangement and not a clipping arrangement, so you're actually cutting out the middle of the waveform with those diodes.

    I neeed there to be a forum or Reddit on stuff like this.
    I got a Marshall MG50DFX and I need to modify it.
    The overdrive channel the gain comes on way to fast, but then never gets high-gain enough.
    And for the clean channel there is a “gain level” but it’s pretty much a volume knob, at 10 it’s just louder it, it doesn’t break up at all! I am going to mess with the resistors and clipping diodes on the overdrive channel but I’m not sure what to do with the clean channel.
    I am interested it making this a usable amp, I’ve though about adding a tube preamp and a EQ and building a box for it for it to be a little head.

    • @zurowetz
      @zurowetz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Be careful messing around in a amp if you don't know what you're doing sounds like maybe you need a new pot for the overdrive gain remember that if you change the diodes in the clipping part ( if the amp uses diodes for cipping) the volume of the amp will change and so turn down the volume and slowly bring it back up so you don't blow the speaker/ your ear 🙂

      @zurowetz Sorry, I'm new to modding/building pedals, that was a dumb question. I guess what I meant is, can the little blue pcb unit be added into a pre-existing circuit easily?
