Severus Snape: he hasn't only sent his patronus to help Harry find the sward in the water, his patronus took the form of Harry's Mother's patronus : the doe- which symbolizes his unconditional and still remaining love for Lily Potter
This makes this scene even sadder
the fetus like creature of Voldemort is a metaphor for Voldemorts damaged soul that's left after creating so many horcruxes
he damaged his soul so severely that it looks pretty brittle
one thing that the movie does not show is, that Harry did the same thing what his mother did for him
he sacrificed himself for all the others by welcoming his death, not trying or fighting to stay alive
after this, no spell of Voldemort did really work anymore
like the avada kedavra did not work when he tried to kill Harry 16 years ago
and the movie created a misconception about Neville and Luna
they never fell in love - but they were the ones that bonded the most because they always were like misfits and loved the spirit of Dumbledores Armee
Neville in fact became a teacher and married Hannah Abbott (Hufflepuff) who ran the leaky cauldron one day.
And Luna who always has been interested in beasts married the grandson of Newt Scamander from fantastic beasts films.
If you are really interested in all the details and deep sh... better read the books.
The half blood prince will always be No 1 for me, because it contains so much about Voldemorts life. It's very psychological. Whereas the movie was pretty flat. It also misses who told Voldemort about the prophecy what was the reason why Voldemort wanted to kill Harry in the first place.
I could talk about Harry Potter all day :D

I love hbp as well. I love those darker stories of Voldemort as a child. How he lured amy benson and dennis bishop to that cave, the fact that they were never the same again. It’s so mysterious. Also he killed someone’s rabbit if I remember correctly. The darker side of harry potter can be seen in the books.

Strangely enough that's the only thing I DID see coming. Every single book took me by surprise in the end, but as I read Dumbledore begging Snape I thought "he is begging him to kill him to keep up the facade" - the only of my theories that came true 😆

    • @stearinlys
      @stearinlys 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I remember desperately hoping for it to be part of a grand plan, but I couldn’t quite believe it. However, one of the most convincing arguments (imo) was the choice of words: the exact same words were used to describe how Harry felt while force-feeding Dumbledore the potion in the cave, as were used to describe the look on Snape’s face right before casting the avada kadavra. Funny thing is, I don’t even know if this was deliberate!

    • @Caseytify
      @Caseytify 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Actually, in the books it's made quite clear that the attempt to wear the ring destroyed his hand, and would eventually kill him. When he got too far along, he wanted Severus to put him out of his misery. That's why he pleaded with Snape, because Severus was reluctant to do it.
I must have hung around with the wrong fans. One woman guessed RAB correctly right after Phoenix came out. Others recalled that one of Snape's first lines regarded putting a stopper into death.
Nobody guessed how the final battle would go.

  • @joshuawells835

•Yes, Hermione wants to free the dragon.
•The snake's name is Nagini and she is one of the horcruxes. She was once a witch, but was cursed and eventually took the permanent form of that snake.
•Historically, victims of witchcraft have been known to go into screaming fits like that. Such fits helped start the Salem Witch Trials.
•Yeah, Voldemort has a large army, some loyal, many more under the Imperius Curse for real.
    •Those are giants.
•Draco was referring to his old wand, which Olivander said now belonged to Harry.
•Fenrir Greyback is a werewolf and he was killing her or infecting her with lycanthropy, which is the same condition that turns Lupin into a werewolf.
•People have been waiting for you to watch this film to learn the truth about Snape. Snape was the most loyal and bravest man; someone who was willing to allow his name to be blackened so as to infiltrate the Death Eaters. Snape agreed with pureblood supremacy, but his love for Lily led him toward the Light.Throughout Harry's time at Hogwarts, Snape protected him. While Harry, Ron, and Hermione were hunting horcruxes, Snape was protecting the students of Hogwarts from the office of Headmaster, but was also able to help Harry find the Sword of Gryffindor. RIP Alan Rickman.
•Thus Harry has been a horcrux the whole time and he must be killed by Voldemort to destroy the horcrux. And this is part of why Harry Potter is a good example of the Christian Myth; for Harry must die, but will be resurrected to save the world from evil. He has always lived by truth and called evil by its name.
•That's the resurrection stone, which allows ones loved ones to come back from the grave, but not to live again.
•To create a horcrux, one must tear apart their soul. By creating seven, Voldemort fractured his soul to the point of instability. By killing Harry and destroying the second-to-last horcrux, Voldemort sent a fragment of his soul to limbo. It was too damaged for Hell.
•Never mess with the cubs; the momma bear will come after you. Molly Weasley lost one child, so she was willing to kill to protect her other children.
•In the book, Harry used the Elder Wand to repair his old wand and planned to return the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's tomb, thus when Harry actually passed away, the wand would no longer have a master. But Harry, though controlling at different times the Cloak of Invisibility, the Elder Wand, and the Resurrection Stone, can be called the Master of Death.
•The ending is ruined by The Cursed Child, which I do not recommend.
•I have a idea about how the Battle of Hogwarts could have gone differently. In the UK, MI5 is Britain's domestic intelligence; what if MI5 had an entire division dedicated to the Wizarding World? What if regiments of Muggles, armed with rifles and drones appeared? They would have greatly aided the Order of the Phoenix.

    • @denizkenger52
      @denizkenger52 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I don’t know if the muggles would be able to do loads. I know they won before but in fantastic beasts, Grindelwald said “who’s this rule protecting. Us or them?”

A wonderfully emotional reaction video! When it came to Snape's memories, I cried again too although I've seen it tons of times before.
As for why Harry had a choice to return to the living at the end, it is not explained completely clearly in the books either, but Voldemort "killed" Harry with the Elder Wand which truly belonged to Harry, so probably the Elder Wand refused to kill its true master ultimately.

28:02 The lenght was all right for the first 3 movies, because they are like 200-300 pages. But from movie 4 a lot things started missing or became simplyfied. It was most noticeable in book 6 I think. Snapes diary played a much bigger role there. Also I think the whole Harry wanting to become an Auror plot was cut from the movies. The epilogue in the last book starts (if I recall correctly) with a newspaper article about Harry being a famous Auror.

@Amirus Thing is if you have read the books, it doesn't excuse how he behaved (because you get a way more in depth experience of how bad Snape is). There is also the fact that he maybe needed to be mean to Harry in order to not get exposed but he bullied every non Slytherin and especially Neville. His obsession with Lilly also wasn't healthy. He had a crush on her as kids and that was sweet, but as he got into the whole death eater lifestyle she distanced herself from him and he couldn't accept it. He then only came back form being a death eater because of her, not because he regretted anything he had done. He is a great character, but he is no way shape or form good.

Many dont notice, but after Harry sacrificed himself in the forest, he literally gave the rest of the defenders the very same protection his mother gave him. Not a single one died by the hands of Voldemort or a death eater from that moment on. Notice even Voldemort failed to kill his targets, including Neville. Its not a "mothers" love thats needed, just love of others and the willingness to die for them. Harry loved all his fellow students and died so they wouldnt. They did not explain at all in the movie how Harry survived, leaving most reactors to believe that the Resurrection Stone did it. However, the Resurrection Stone doesn't truly bring anybody back, it only lets you speak to departed loved ones. In Goblet of Fire, Voldemort used Harry's blood to regenerate. He took in a part of Lily's sacrifice and therefore kept said sacrifice alive as long as Voldemort lived. Harry was anchoring Voldemort to life by being a pseudo-Horcrux, whereas Voldemort was anchoring Harry to life with Lily's sacrifice.
In Rowling's own words: "Having taken Harry's blood into himself, Voldemort is keeping alive Lily's protective power over Harry - except that the power of Lily's sacrifice is a positive force that not only continues to tether Harry to life, but gives Voldemort himself one last chance ... Voldemort has unwittingly put a few drops of goodness back inside himself; if he had repented, he could have been healed more deeply than anyone would have supposed. But of course, he refused to feel remorse." (Feeling genuine remorse would have put his soul back together.) "Also, since Voldemort is using the Elder wand, which actually belongs to Harry, neither the Cruciatus nor the killing curse works properly. "The Avada Kedavra curse, however, is so powerful that it does hurt Harry, and also succeeds in killing the part of him that is not truly him, in other words, the fragment of Voldemort's own soul that is still clinging to his. The curse also disables Harry severely enough that he could have succumbed to death if he had chosen that path."
What Harry also did by sacrificing himself in the forest is that he gave all of his friends the same magical protection his mother gave him. The books show that none of Voldemort's spells were binding.

Isn't it also because when Harry got the Resurrection Stone, he became the 'Master of Death'? He had the Invisibility Cloak for years, became the true master of the Elder Wand at Malfoy Manor, and then got the Resurrection Stone in the forest, that's why Dumbledore made the snitch "open at the close", to potentially give Harry a chance to survive... at least that's how I understood it...

‘He took your blood believing it would strengthen him. He took into his body a tiny part of the enchantment your mother laid upon you when she died for you. His body keeps her sacrifice alive, and while that enchantment survives, so do you and so does Voldemort’s one last hope for himself.’

    • @PaperLuigi99
      @PaperLuigi99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

@@majascha3414 Thing is, being Master of Death doesn't make you invincible or immune to death as so many people who sought the hallows believed. In actuality, Master of Death means that the master is the person who accepts mortality. Harry became Master of Death because Death never defeated him.
Harry, while in possession of all three Hallows (the Elder wand’s allegiance to him, his father’s cloak and the resurrection stone in the snitch), as well as the timing of Harry being “ready to die”…all points to him accepting his mortality, what he has to do to save everyone else and, like the youngest Peverell brother, he “greeted Death (Dumbledore) like an old friend”.
Harry had a choice to go back or “go on”. He chose to go back, not because he explicitly wanted to stay alive, but because he knew there would be a chance that Voldemort would be defeated for good and all if he went back.
So like dying to save everybody else, Harry “went back”, again to save everybody.
Harry making this choice, not for himself or any selfish reason, but for the good of everybody, indicates that he was willing to die if it meant Voldemort would be defeated.

Voldemort always strived to become immortal, to be superior to everyone else, and in the book his death is described as him simply crumpling to the ground, defeated like any other man. Welcome to the Severus lovers! Now you know why he has such a gigantic fan base! He risked & sacrifices so much for the son of the woman he loved, even if she was already dead & he could never have her back. That is love & loyalty & bravery. Severus was a cunning & ambitious Slytherin, alright. But he was also brave like a Gryffindor. Intelligent & inventive like a Ravenclaw. And as loyal as any Huffelpuff. Severus Snape is a prime example of the phrase; "Never judge the book by its cover." Outward he showed only one thing & it scared people. But within was endless love. Snape was absolutely not flawless, & he's far worse in the books. But what he represents, the huge tragedy that still gives all he has left with no given reward for his sacrifice is a life lesson to us all. And what Alan did with this character, the version of Severus he gave to the world, was true magic!

Since Voldemort rebuilt his body with Harry's blood, he took into his body the protection that Lily left on Harry when she sacrificed himself. Voldemort's body kept that sacrifice alive and so Voldemort became the only human being in the entire world who could not possibly kill Harry. That's why Dumbledore insisted that Voldemort must do it himself. Also, as a side effect, when Harry went to the forest with the intention to let himself be killed in order to protect others in the castle, he did what his mother did (it doesn't matter that he didn't die, the intention counts), from that moment on Voldemort couldn't kill anyone in the castle. Also, after the war Harry campaigned to have Snape's portrait hung in the headmaster's office along with the other former headmasters' portraits. He became an auror. Ron after a brief stint as an auror joined George in running the joke shop. Ginny became a professional Quidditch player and later a Quidditch reporter for the Daily Prophet. Neville married Hannah Abbott the landlady of the Leaky Cauldron. Neville also became a professor of Herbology at Hogwarts. Luna married Rolf Scamander, the grandson of the famous magizoologist Newt Scamander. They have two sons, Lorcan and Lysander. After the war Kingsley Shacklebolt became Minister of Magic until 2019. Umbridge was tried and sentenced to Azkaban for life. Draco married a former schoolmate, Astoria Greengrass, who died a few years ago. Their son's name is Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy. Hermione went back to Hogwarts to get her NEWT degree after which she worked in the Ministry. As of 2019 she is the Minister of Magic. Her and Ron's children are Rose and Hugo. The Headmistress of Hogwarts is Minerva McGonagall. Harry reconnected with the Dursleys, he is on "Christmas card terms" with Dudley. Petunia died recently and it turned out that she always kept in secret the blanket in which Harry was left on her doorstep.

After he left Hogwarts, the Dumbledore brother's mother was accidentally killed by Ariana, who was traumatized and permanently damaged after some muggle boys attacked her as a six-year-old. Albus, being the eldest, had to stay at home and care for the family. Then he met Grindlewald, who, as Shakespeare might put it 'Poured poison in his ear' with ideas of conquering the muggles for their own good. Abeforth snapped him out of it, but this led to a fight in which one of them accidentally killed Ariana.

Harry was able to return from death because Voldemort was reborn with Harry's blood.
Dumbledore said to Harry : Remember what voldemort did to you with ignorance, greed and cruelty.
And Harry said : He took my blood.
Dumbledore : He took your blood and built his own living body with it. Your blood is in his veins, Lily's protection is in both of you. He connected you to life while he was living himself.
So as you can see, Lily's protection was gone when Harry is 17 but there was a part of protection. This part was in Voldemort's inside because he took Harry's blood. So Lily's protection never end while Voldemort is alive. And also Harry and Ginny have three kids. James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter.
And about Snape's patronus, his patronus was an eagle but if you have a trauma about someone, your patronus turns to the his/her patronus. For example Tonks's patronus was a rabbit but it turned a wolf because of Lupin. And also you can see James and Lily are soulmate. James's patronus is a stag and Lily's a doe :)

    Why Harry didn't die?
It's a little hard to understand if you haven't read the books but I'll try to explain as simply as possible.
    Answear:
    Thanks to his mother's protection!
When she died, she offered Harry the ultimate protection against Voldemort.
It works as long as Harry is under the tutelage of his mother or someone who has her blood(that's why he stayed with his aunt). When he turned 17 and he became an adult the protection automatically disappeared, but when Voldemort returned to power he used Harry's blood(which is also his mother's blood) extending protection and
making Voldemort himself protect Harry forever.
That's why Dumbledore told Snape that Harry must be killed by Voldemort himself.
It was the only way Voldemort's soul would die without Harry dying.

The protection that ended at the age of 17 was Dumbledore's, He protected the Dursley's house 'til Harry turned 17, Lily's protection, the love of a mother never ends.

If you loved the story from movies, it will be good for you to read books. You will get a lot of answers and details that create the whole picture. Especially since some scenes from the movie are hard to understand without context. Also, the three first books are mostly the same as movies, though they are still very pleasant for some relaxing reading. But from Goblet of Fire and forward, there is actually quite a lot missing that explains about the world itself. I also recommend Fantastic Beasts. I absolutely love the first Fantastic Beasts movie.

As he was dying, Snape wanted to see Harry's eyes, which, as mentioned a few times in the books and movies, belonged to his mother. Snape wanted the last thing he'd ever see to be what was left of the one thing he ever truly cared for.
Also, Neville becomes a professor at Hogwarts. Herbology

Her the answers to some of your questions:
    1. the parents had no choice about sending their kids to Hogwarts or not, because Voldemort made it compulsory for every young witch and wizard.
2.The guy that attacked Lavender is named Fenrir Greyback and he’s a werewolf.
3.The Elder Wand belonged to Harry: Draco disarmed Dumbledore before Snape killed him, so he was his master. Harry disarmed Draco when they were at the Malfoy‘s .
    4. Harry was saved by a mother’s love again. Narcissa lied because she knew ache could only go into the castle and searching for her son if Voldemort won.
    5. The names of Harry’s and Ginny‘s children are James Sirius, Albus Severus and Lily Luna. Hermione and Ron named their children Rose and Hugo.
    I really enjoyed your reaction!
( sorry for my bad English, I‘m german )

Random note that you've prolly already got; I don't watch a *ton* of reactions but you're the first person I've seen speed bits up....? Super clever. That strikes me as such a "in hindsight it's so frustratingly obvious" kind of thing. I dunno if you came up with that or it was suggested, but either way 10/10 for choosing to incorporate it. Plus on occasion the sped up voices are pretty drrn funny

I do it because my videos for some reason were being blocked, and by speeding it up it does not recognize it as the original, therefore the algorithm does not block it. I am happy you are ok with it :)

that Snape's memory is sooo sad😭😭, i cry every time for that scene since it changes the conception of that character you had for all the movies.
I love your reactions by the way!

The Snape reveal is one of the greatest pieces of literary subterfuge. No one saw it coming and it was one of the most emotional reveals in book or movie form.

Duaffy, in case you’re wondering why and how Harry didn’t die by Voldemort’s Killing Curse. It wasn’t the Deathly Hallows or a Horcrux inside that saved him, it was the Love Protection from Lilly. The protection didn’t go away when he turned and no longer lived with Dursleys. It was supposed to but didn’t. This is because Voldemort used Harry’s blood to come back in the Goblet of Fire. This was explained by Dumbledore; “His body keeps her Sacrifice alive and while that enchantment survives, so do you.” So because Voldemort put Harry’s blood in his new body the protection lived on inside him. Continuing Lilly’s protection on Harry, which is why he didn’t die. Love is the only thing that Voldemort can’t comprehend, feel or even understand, he arrogantly underestimate its power. Also when Harry sacrificed himself he put the same love protection on all of his friends and allies so that Voldemort and his Death Eaters can’t harm or kill then until the battle is over. Love conquers everything, even Death.

My personal belief is Harry was able to return because the cloak & resurrection stone were his and the allegiance of the Wand was his making him the Master of Death.
