Mike Myers is the best!!! I never wanted this interview to end!! I have just completely fallen in love with this Podcast!! Great job!!! Much love and respect from Texas!!
I’ve never heard an interviewee on this show crack the hosts up so much, and so steadily throughout an episode. Also, loved the description of the utter weirdness and originality of the London comedy scene back in the day, and the description of “Cinema Bleak” in Canada which is a real thing (the bare trees and the snow and the death a la The Sweet Hereafter). Thanks Mike for reminding us why you’re a legend.
Wow. Mike Myers sounds kind of shy. But he’s a freakin’ GENIUS! He is a veritable COMEDY MACHINE! I love him! He is a North American Continental Treasure.
Hey guys, I just wanted to say thank you really quickly. A while back I was listening to an episode and Will did an ad for Good Rx and you have no idea how much that helped me. In 2016 I was doing animal search and rescue after the Clayton Fire in Northern California and I found an 8 month old Lab that was all messed up physically, and what I didn't realize at the time both mentally and emotionally. Long story short I took him to the vet and he was put on medication to help with his behavior issues from being horrifically abused before I found him, the medication saved his life. If it wouldn't of worked I was going to have to euthanize him. In the beginning his medication was usually between $20-$30 which was manageable. But during the pandemic when I started having financial trouble his medication also went up to $45 and at times I couldn't afford to get it and I would notice his behavior change. I heard the Good Rx commercial and now when I pick up his prescription it's only $4. You have no idea how relieved I was when I knew I would always be able to afford his medication, and it literally saved his life again. So thank you Will for reading that ad, and thank you Jason, Sean, and Will for such an awesome podcast.
Great episode, Mike is a hilarious, stellar example of typically humble Canadian comedy gold! His "Stone Soup" reference hit home; I remember loving that book as a kid, and the moral of the story is applicable to any job or project. It's in everyone's best interest to pool resources and then benefit as a group. A great philosophy which, in my humble, Canadian opinion, should be applied to aspects of our culture other than artistic, but it's the arts that often drive change and common understanding so, let's start there, shall we? But this can only happen when integrity and pride in your work, and not maximum profitability, are most valued, which seems to be a tenet of Mike's professional philosophy. Love the podcast, great guest, cheers!
Will, you have the perfect voice (and face)😆 for podcasting. I could fall asleep listening your rich mahogany voice read the adds. Jason, as a straight man, I would have your baby. Enough said there. Sean, you are my power animal. Love you guys.
I hear Myers speak and all I can do is picture Shrek speaking. I have to say though, I really enjoyed the Waynes world skit on SNL more than most other skits.
Man, I was hoping to hop on here and find you did video for all of these. I’ve been listening on podcast but there have been several that have me laughing out loud (not many or anything, don’t get big heads, okay guys?)-my hope was to find them in video. Le sigh. Since their not on video, it confirms what I’ve long suspected: I think you record these from your toilets, how else will you find an hour’s worth of uninterrupted time when you’re not on set?! Or maybe laying back on your beds right after waking up. So energized and ready to tackle the day! Also: I truly do enjoy the energy and humor of your podcast!
Recently started listening to your podcast on TH-cam absolutely love it. Have you put it in any thought into video during the podcast? Would love to see Sean's glamorous smoking!
Love the show, I listen to every SmartLess episode without fail (I love the intro music, who came up with that?). I once saw an episode where we could actually see Arnett, Bateman, and Hayes having the conversation. More of that, please. I'm not liking the unchanging cover image of your unmoving faces, while listening to you talk as though you're in another room. We'd like to see your actual faces, not a still image accompanied by an audio-only podcast. Thanks, keep up the great work on this show, guys, you've been a great and much-needed mood lift during this pandemic. You guys are true pros, you make it look easy but it's not. When is your next live show in Canada? Are you planning on coming to Ottawa? THANKS!
Why is Will trying to make Toronto seem like some podunk town where your only options are bagging groceries or working at the textile mill? It's the largest city in Canada. Lorne Michaels, John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, were all from Toronto. Even comedians that weren't from there, came THROUGH there via Second City. (Aykroyd, Brian Doyle-Murray, Gilda Radner)
This has to be one of the few episodes in which they don’t roast each other mercilessly or Jason sounding like a complete moron with his eon-lengthy questions or Will jokingly attacking Sean’s homosexuality or Will’s Canadian background being poked at or just talking over the guest constantly
That's exactly where he got it. Dana would impersonate Lorne backstage at SNL, then everyone started doing it. Mike used it for Dr. Evil. I think they actually had a bit of a falling out over Mike not giving Dana any credit for that.
I can assure you that Canadians do not look south and long to go there. As a die hard Scarberian, the opposite is pretty obvious here. Americans and others here for the higher salaries.

the best guest ever. didn’t want it to end ❤
"...and the kids died...in front of different kids..." 😂laughed WAY too hard at that one!
I've listened to a dozen of these including Bill Maher and Jerry Seinfeld and this was by far the best and funniest. Great job guys.
This one actually made me laugh out loud, this was so funny!. He's such a talent.

Dude take it down a notch.
They talked a bit about Wayne's World, and Sean brought up "Supermensch" which was awesome, and no one thought to ask about working with Alice Cooper.
Just found this podcast, I'm intrigued. ❤️

How many people are here for Will Arnett?
All 3... and Mike.
I currently have no friends, so here I sit with these meatheads.
Jason Bateman for Me
Bateman > Arnett > Sean
Henry Ford and his assembly line basically created the 9-5 job, thus forcing people to get 6-8 hrs of continuous sleep.
Love Gold member...Shmelting accident is the greatest.
omg, how have u not watched "So I Married an Axe Murderer"?? I hope you guys have watched it since this interview. It's one of my favs. 👍👍
Right, but they're all "huge fans".
Anyone else notice Mike says 'knowhattamean' a lot. You can tell he was raised by Scousers
Aye. I was raised by Scousers as well
He was raised Scottish!!!!

Lorne sounds like Dr. Evil

CHCH! 😂 🇨🇦 eh?

is it me, or does Bateman gush on every guest?
Mike myers way at Kennedy and Lawrence.
Pass by there often. But famous Scarberians do little to help our community. The exception is the Weeknd.
Why was this deleted in podbean
TH-cam > Spotify > Podbean
The backgrpund 🙀😵🥴
No Stairway to heaven
Coffee Talk
The far left liberalism is a little exhausting, but still love all 4 of them.
In what way? I haven’t picked up on that I guess.
"far left" lol
Of course they’re intelligent.
Agreed. The Demrat cartel controls showbiz so much that people who can't think for themselves don't even notice it
Matt and Nick are so dumb lol Wayne’s world is the best…I think my dad has Alzheimer’s idk
