- I went to the twisties to test out the new Bauce Racing ECU Tune on the Kawasaki Ninja 400! This tune opened up the bike A LOT gaining more power at low to high end, better engine braking, and SNAP CRACKE POPS! Nice. What did the Bauce ECU tune do for its top speed and 0-60 acceleration? Did you just do the tune, or did you make any other performance modifications (exhaust system, velocity stacks, etc.)?
It basically eliminated the top rev limiter so now I can push it to higher revs which increases my speed a bit. The bike has the tune, and then Akrapovic slip on, nothing else 👍
Hey curious on what exhaust that you have, i have a stock 400 with a LV-10 and it pops pretty frequently, do you think adding the ECU would make that even more?

I would do the ECU flash for my 400 but the website says the motorcycle will be illegal for public roads and should only be used on the track. Also does the ECU tune make the bike run hot? And is it less fuel efficient?
I say do the ECU flash - it can pass inspection here in the States (not sure where youre locateds). And I've seem the same fuel efficiency and bike doesn't run hot. It actually makes the bike run better

Did the ECU reflash get rid of the Ninja's "jerky" or "snappy" throttle response?
Oh yea it did, hands down its way better response with both engine braking, downshifting and just doing a wide open throttle. I noticed there were factory limiters on the throttle feel so it definitely feels like those were taken off 💪
The snappy throttle is caused by the 02 sensor it restricts fuel to the engine the higher up the revs
Bro mine stock does 125 mph and it still wants to go alil more just havent had enough road but idk does the ecu flash worth it???
So the ECU tune won't help GAIN power but it'll eliminate the OEM limiters from the factory so you can get the full potential of the power it came with. You MIGHT gain like an extra 10mph but the main difference you'll feel is throttle response, higher revving, and pops 👊

This is located near Oyster Bay in Long Island. Honestly, you need to drive around to find the spots

Absolutely bro! Low end and high end power had a solid increase 💪 You feel trust me lol and I went to Bauce Racing in NJ but you can send in your ECU I believe for just $250, if you bring in your back they will charge for labor.
I love your bike and all the mods. Definitely what I want. But I gotta say that R6 just looks and sounds...omg. Perfect? Unfortunately it's too much bike for me 😅
Thank you bro! 🙌 Yea the R6 or any inline sound is BEAUTIFUL! It can be too much for some riders and its hard to yse the full potential especially on the streets
@itsnorrin that's Why I don't think I'll get a litr bike and only get a 600 when I upgrade from my 400.
@@wickedtomahawk9091smart move. Liter bikes are a lot. 600’s are pretty tame down lower in the rpm range. They do scream past 8000 rpm (R6 is more like 10,000 rpm)

Sorry about the questions, but my bike is more of a daily and I don’t want the tune to make my bike unreliable and impractical. Have you noticed anything off about your bike since the tune?
NOTHING was off after the tune. Better riding experience and much more power for sure 💪

Yes! Basically youre "remapping" the computer of the bike and removing limitations from the OEM settings to get the most out of the bike 👍

@@Junkfiles446ea you could, but best case would be to get your slip on or better yet, get a full exhaust system that allows more airflow and THEN get it flashed, that way it’s tuned according to your mods
How much did the dyno tune cost?
I got the ECU tuned from Bauce Racing in NJ. No Dyno tune, they just took the ECU and updated it with a map that they use on their Ninja 400 race bikes. It was about $300 👍

It removes restrictions on the revs throughout the powerband to increase ability to use all power the bike has as well as improves engine braking 👍

So many people believe that high octane gas gives your bike more power. Nooope, it is really good at burning faster and keep your cylinder a bit cleaner. And the racing companies get a kick back for telling you that you need to use 93 or higher. Waste of money!

The highest I've pushed this bike to was I think 115-118 but at a downhill I've hit 120 🙃
