    I bought a couple P1s in mid-late 2020 and probably won the lotto as I could get about 6 months out of both of them. After that initial battery for each I just changed them every quarter. Preordered a p2 last april and I did get one during this first drop to civs a couple months back. As you noted, the adjustments are way more tactile. I think the glass is a little bit better...could just be me. One thing I did notice is how much more crisp the dot is over the p1. Especially under NODs. Sample size of one p2 and two p1s.

    I have a P1 and a P2. The P2 is on my duty gun. The P1 is on one of my fun guns. I was so thrilled to get the P2. I loved the P1, but just couldn’t use it on my duty gun because of the battery life.

    Unless I’m mistaken, the Acro won’t fit into a slide milled for an RMR. That seems like a missed opportunity to corner the top-tier duty optic market. I have 5 RMR’d Glocks and I’d swap them all over to Acros it would fit without a plate.

    • @sergio297
      @sergio297 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So red dots have to be zeroed in for specific distances each time to land an effective shot .....In real life and even on range you will have multiple targets at different distances....zeroing in with a torque screw driver is not practical each time .......red optics need to have auto adjust to distance capability then it makes sense.........the red dot needs to adapt the camera tech and self calibrate windage and elevation based on target distance......I got the acro p2 but then realized this flaw...sticking with irons & my viridian laser which is point and shoot

You don’t need fancy b-roll close ups at 4k with a RED camera using professional editing. Just a 720p webcam and uploading at 1920x1080 would suffice. Again, no editing. All in one cut. It’s easy to do. In 2022 this is a very sub par video standard even for simple content. I don’t mean to be rude at all, this is simply constructive criticism so you could improve the quality. I see you’re writing everyone off who’s made the same comment regarding the video quality. Of course it’s your channel and you’re free to do what you want, but it won’t help you get views or subscribers uploading 1999 quality content. Especially for people on a phone size screen, it’s an immediate click off. Which if you don’t care about your channel then sure, don’t care about what people think and go on about your day. Upload for yourself only. If you do care about people enjoying the video at least, it may be a good idea to take note of the suggestions made in the comment section. Grossly over$ for the civlilian market at $600-700 MSRP and is honestly one of the ugliest RDO's out there. For a duty gun fuction over looks.
    So many better choices out there today for the civlilian market. From a performance and cost point. e.g. 2022 Holosun SCS $400 MSRP. Closed emitter and solar powered. No need to rremember to change the battery. With so much going on in our lives are we really doing to remember?? :)
    Drop testing Aron Cowan style. Nice to know an optic would pass. But REALLY how many civilians are going to do that and not be babying their jguns? More so if they've spent $2300 in upgrades to Rolland Special their Glocks. Though perhaps the P2 IS for the Rolland Special crowd. :) For the rest of us $ matters. Making the Holosun 's a better choice IMHO. Looks better too. Who wants this "mailbox" on the top of their pistol? BUTT ugly.

    Nobody gets in a gunfight in the rain.... This is the problem when you take tactical advice from a mortgage salesman who confuses USPSA matches being cancelled due to weather with context. Combine this with the comment in there recent podcast that the 2011 thumb safety just needs reps. Please take a class like ECQC and get some context.

      Hey bro. How many cops do you train a year? How many LE conferences do you teach at? How many LE have you polled from SWAT to FBI to US Marshals? How many pistol gunfights have you been in the rain? The answer to all these is zero. Also been doing BJJ since 1996 and other arts well before that. On the ECQC thing, I’ll call Craig Douglas right now and see what he says about thumb safeties. Do you have that relationship with him. Again the answer is no.

      The answer is not zero. The last time I pointed a pistol at someone in the rain was at 07:04 on 1/14/22. Rolling is good but the mats tend to be indoors. When was the last time you rolled with someone on gravel after being thrown into a crash barrier without the option to tap? When was the last time your pistol came out your holster inverted because you were in some fouled up tangle with a 300lb dude on his third strike? Context.

      @@fredsmith8556 Did you pull the trigger? What was the distance? Was a precise sight picture needed? Give us some context. Also talked to Craig Douglas, he said his first pistol OIS was with a gun with a thumb safety, so….

      @@ModernSamuraiProject a better question to ask your class participants is how many times have they pointed a gun at someone in the rain. Pointing can be multiple times a shift where OIS is few to none in a career. How many times have they trained in wet, mud, or snow and had an issue. I've had DBAL illuminators kaleidoscope and Trijicon RMS star field on me. In this situation the two other participants had the vote on shot complexity. Fight me from the vehicle and the background demanded a precise 8 yard shot. Exit the vehicle and attack me would be an easy index shoot. Run into the woods behind the car and shoot at me and we are back to needing a precise shot. My Trijicon did fine but it was something to worry about. Craig's contribution with ECQC is twofold. He provides you with a rich experience honest to the problem and a set of techniques he has developed and pressure tested to navigate it. I've seen too many FOF evos where the 1911 thumb and grip safety are issues. Funny one was from a guy who right before said he had 1 millions reps and it won't be an issue.

      @@fredsmith8556 Ah so respond to logic by shifting the parameters. You are now disqualified.
