I love how his ideals are almost a complete flip around from Thrawn. Thrawn appreciates art extremely, studies it, understands it. Art lasts through the ages, it is constantly there, it stands the test of time and reflects the heart of the people who made it. Whereas Momin appreciates the creation of art, he himself is the artist of his greatest creation, himself, and he will continue to create art for that one single moment when it is finished, that is when he is satisfied. But it only lasts for a moment.
@@WhackyBC Pretty close actually, yeah. They both appreciate the pinacle of their art. That split second that the art has been finished. That final... explosion :p Such a shame that those jedi had to come and ruin the ritual... Momin had sucessfully captured the pinacle of the art, frozen it in time, gotten to witness that moment for more than a few mere seconds.
Momin is the Dark Side Force user that should have been introduced years ago. Instead, every Dark Side user has narcissistic visions of grandeur for himself. Someone finally asked the question: why should the dark side do everything you want? It should be valued just like the Light Side shouldn't it? Instead, it was more like a virus than an opposite polarity of the Light Side of the Force. Now we actually have a reason to believe that there could be balance.
Yeah only a few of the Jedi & the Sith like Momin understood the Force more than his Sith brethren. Both the Jedi & the Sith keep depending the Force. Forgetting that they served the Force. Not the Force served them. No wonder both side almost lead themselves through extinction.
I hear malgus sort of had a similar view of given himself to the darkside and acting in its name and what not. Still not quite on the level momin has done in making dark monuments to honor it. I wonder how they would get along
Anyone else think it would be cool to see an old republic story with Momin as the villain and it ends with that mission to stop his murder art device thing.
It would be nice if he was the new May the Fourth fig - they did a Darth Revan! I just hope they don't go with the buildables like they did for 2018 . . .
Now there's a psychotic villain with a fleshed out origin. Momin wasn't a nobody, he was a somebody deserving of an origin story. If only all modern Star Wars villains could be like that huh? Huh? ;P
"This your first step into A Larger A World"-Obi-Wan Kenobi Im happy with Momins introduction he is basically starting Character for The Old Republic and pre phantom menace character which is cool
1:13 That's interesting, it looks partially inspired by the Harrower-class. Sounds like this takes place during the old canon's "New Sith Wars" period as well.
At first I didn't find Momin all that interesting. But this comic series has completely changed my mind and I now want Charles Soule to write a comic series about him and make it the first Old Republic story we have in the Lucasfilm Story Group canon.
The fact that Mustafar is significant to the Sith makes me think that Sidious somewhat knew what he was doing by sending the Separatist leaders to hide there near the end of the Clone Wars. Maybe he knew that in one way or another the planet would hold some significance for Vader.
I like the way Momin's lightsabers started as smaller, kind of light-scalpels, to make his mask and art, but he probably enhanced them into the weapons they turned out to be later on.
I feel like stories such as Momin would be great ways to re-introduce Legends species back into canon, so Im still really disappointed they gave us this Hermey "I wanna be a dentist" elf looking thing.
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 Oh dont get me wrong, I love alien sith. Its quite possibly the only reason I enjoy Darth Krayt's Rule of One, I just dont feel like we need to keep introducing new species. Dansparce I certainly agree! Although I'm not sure exactly what kind of alien from legends in particular I would have wanted to be under that mask. There was a deleted scene in Last Jedi where a stormtrooper thought Finn was prompted to officer, is it possible that stormtroopers within the First Order can move up ranks beyond being a stormtrooper? If so, does that mean some officers may have been troopers?
Where in the past was he from though, was it pre swtor and kotor (I know that it's not canon right now but just as a rough idea of how far back it is)?
Since KOTOR and SWTOR aren't in the canon timeline, it's impossible to pin when Momin lived before or after those events. All we know is that it was before Darth Bane's time, so at least 1,000 years before The Phantom Menace. The Old Republic timeline is still VERY vague. This gets me thinking if they will ever dabble in the old republic. Of course, it's inevitable so long as LucasFilm intends to make Star Wars content. I'm just hoping that they'll wait long enough so that when they announce that there will be new Old Republic stories, there isn't a single person on the hating side. Of course, that will always be too much to ask for. The other side of me just wants them to never touch the Old Republic, and leave it a mystery as to whether or not the Legends version of the old republic is true or not. After all, if they take away all the mystery, what would there be left?
I think momin destroys the original idea of the more religious based living and cosmic force. It opens the door for too much old mystic harry potter Aladdin and genie type stuff. I dont like it at all nor do i like the world between worlds.

*_Momin's story will make a fine addition to my collection._*
Knowledge is power
Momin might be the best thing added to Canon for me in a long, long time.
AT-AT Chat I was just thinking that. Glad to see the Sith finally getting love in the Disney era.
such an interesting character...
Christian Trezeguet It would be unwise for them to just drop the ball, like how they did with Tar Visla the Mandolorian Jedi.
ddam1320 hmm that’s plausible. There could be a mention of Tar Vizla. I guess it isn’t out of the realm of possibility these days.
Can a Star Fox and Star Wars saga be a good idea for a Star Wars film named: Star Wars Episode X: Lylat Wars?

If the female Sith Lord is the voice we heard in the Malachor holocron that's be a nice connection to that Old Republic established story
Darth Momin is definitely someone I'd like to see and learn more about, especially what he'll create next
Momin’s an artist. He’s a performance artist

No, Lucasfilm story group canon because they control everything about it. Disney doesn't even control any story telling they just fund and distrabute.
Wouldn't Momins Master Shaa be the oldest known canon Sith Lord? :O
Yeah but we know more about Momin and it makes an interesting video
cakewalk ed hmmm
My name is Momin irl so this makes me feel special
There's only so many times we can learn about Darth Vader and you know What hes doing This Sith peaks my interest I'd love to see more of lord momin
Momin's character is really great. Would love to see more of him.

Momin’s mask looks very cool
The fact that Mustafar is significant to the Sith makes me think that Sidious somewhat knew what he was doing by sending the Separatist leaders to hide there near the end of the Clone Wars. Maybe he knew that in one way or another the planet would hold some significance for Vader.
I agree, Palpatine did know.
I bet they did not know of this
Take a shot every time the phrase 1000 years is used in star wars lore
Whatever Charles Soule writes next, I'll be subscribing to.
“I would never be so bold as to call myself a master-but an apprentice? I think not. Momin is second to none.”
One of my favorite lines in star wars.
Little talked about is how cool his little lightsaber daggers were
I like the way Momin's lightsabers started as smaller, kind of light-scalpels, to make his mask and art, but he probably enhanced them into the weapons they turned out to be later on.
I think he might have the ability to adjust the saber length on some sort of pivot. Other sith had these but it usually made the blade longer,

Lord Moomin
He should’ve been a professional artist.
Can anyone help me, in which trade can I read Calrissian's part of this story?
Charles Soule’s Lando series
I wonder if Momin caused the destruction on Taris in (Canon) with his super weapon.
Tactical Bacon Yes I know but I was wondering if he destroyed other planets with the weapon.
ddam1320 Something like that.
I don't think Momin did it more than once, unless his other attempts failed to be "frozen in time" the way he wanted it.
Ok but how long did it take him to build one particular castle and then just tear it down
so like the one ring
I want him to make an appearance on "The Mandalorian".
So is it true that the current Vader series is fixing to end?
