    I've been in the market for a steamer and have been reading reviews, comparing, and watching TH-cam videos. A big complaint for many people is water drops on the clothes. In fact, the TH-camr I watched just before you pointed them out saying, "This is normal". Then she went on steaming the clothes in the way you said you should NOT or you'll get water drops on your clothes.
    I feel a lot more confident about what to look for and how to use a steamer now. Thank-you.

    The video was 1st class in getting the basics sorted. I've just tried your f1000 on a couple of shirts & very impressed overall. An unexpected + side was my indoor plants love the steam (As long as the steam isn't too close). I'm glad I bought your product.👍

  • @ElkRiverRancher2
    @ElkRiverRancher2 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I'm sitting here chuckling over the idea of using a steamer to PUT a crease in the ARM of a shirt or blouse ... I take great care, when using a hand iron and an ironing board, to do sleeves without putting a crease down the full length of the sleeve, from the shoulder to the cuff ... the only creases I ever set into a shirt or blouse are the creases created by any intentional folds in the sleeve, usually on the bottom side of the sleeve, running from the cuff to about the middle of the lower arm ... It takes a bit of work, particularly if there isn't a sleeve board available, to avoid that 'shoulder to cuff' crease ... and for women's blouses and shirts, it helps to have a hand iron that's on the 'narrow' side ... but, it's one of the reasons using a steamer should be easier, than using an ironing board ...
    Love those blue eyes with that dark mane, BTW ... ;) You're going to be a knock-out, when that mane goes grey ...

    Any tips on type of room to steam in? bathroom etc? We live in a damp climate and mould is an issue. Also I'd like to use a steamer for cleaning our wooden floors, countertops and furniture. I read that it disinfects surfaces via the steam. Thoughts?

    • @Fridja
      @Fridja  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can steam in any room, just be mindful. In the UK we don't have such humidity normally. Our steamers are typically for clothes and fabric, but there are lots of steam cleaners available more suited for floors and cleaning. All steam is good for disinfecting etc. It's great to minimise using chemicals.

      Hi! Thanks for the question.
      Hot steam santiises and deodorises, so can be really good at refreshing soft furniture (like beds and sofas). You can see this at the end of either of our product overview videos as linked here:

    • @Fridja

      Ouch! Both our steamers have insulated hoses, so they aren't hot to the touch.

    Is limescale an issue?

    • @Fridja
      @Fridja  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All water based products might suffer from limescale, if you subject them to hard water. However, descaling (simple with descaling crystals or a dilute solution in the water tank) will keep this to a minimum. We also recommend you flush your steamer via the drainage valve from time to time. More if you're using it commercially. Full instructions are inside our manuals!
