- Craig and Steven run a Quad Cortex each. There is a different preset for each song and Scene Mode is used to switch between tones.
Every Preset and Scene change is controlled via MIDI from their playback rig, so they can keep the QCs racked off-stage.

My question: how can it be done and what material do they use to be able to carry out these automatic changes?
A laptop and a DAW. That's all you need to set it up with MIDI. Play to a click so you're in time with the changes. There are videos on how to program it.

How are they switching, MIDI? I don’t see them pressing foot buttons.
More than likely, it’s pre-scripted MIDI built into a DAW template set to a click track they’re all playing to to make the show as seamless and worry free as possible.
Stephen from Chelsea Grin has some good videos out there explaining this. No more tap dancing ;)
