My question: how can it be done and what material do they use to be able to carry out these automatic changes?
I don’t know BFW’s specific method but one way is to have a laptop running software like Ableton Live or Logic etc. and for each song it outputs a click track to at least the drummer so that he can keep everyone in sync and it also sends out MIDI commands to the guitar player’s Quad Cortex’s which can change scenes without them having to click on any footswitches while playing. It takes time to setup each song and add in all the MIDI changes but once it’s done you can just play it back night after night.
Since everything is played to a click at a specific BPM, the changes to the Quad Cortex effects will all take place at just the right time in the song.
