- Former Super Eagles captain and head coach, Sunday Oliseh, has offered to help the Nigerian men’s national team for free if approached by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). The Super Eagles are currently without a coach following Finidi George’s resignation in June.
In an interview with Elegbete TV sports, Oliseh expressed his commitment to serving Nigeria, emphasizing his decade-long dedication as a player and captain. He declared, “If my country wants to speak with me, I will answer. I can also give technical assistance because we need to qualify for the World Cup.”
Oliseh’s offer comes as the NFF faces a crucial decision on whether to appoint a foreign technical director or rely on former players. His willingness to return follows his resignation five years ago over contract violations and unpaid wages.

He is still our legend and he's so passionate about Nigeria his nation to go to world cup if given the opportunity and all the necessary tools and support and, with his love and experience I'm very sure he will do everything within his his control to see that Nigeria go to this World cup.
I agree with you that he's passionate and want the best for Nigeria. But I think we need to look another direction this ex players need to prove themselves out there, Super Eagles is not an experiment site.

He was a fantastic player and served this country so well that he can today be called a legend. But he should steer clear of the Super Eagles Team. He does not have the temperament it requires and can bring division in the locker room. Except he changed yesterday. And he can let us see such a change beginning from his utterances henceforth.
